Verse | ||
And when you said “O Moses we cannot endure one kind of food | وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوْسَى لَنْ نَّصْبِرَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ وَاحِدٍ
so, invoke your Lord for us to bring forth for us of what the earth grows | فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الأَرْضُ
of its herbs, its cucumbers, its wheat/garlic, its lentils and its onions” | مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَ قِثَّآئِهَا وَفَوْمِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا
He said “Would you exchange for that which is lesser with that which is better? | قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُوْنَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ
Go you down to a town and you shall find what you are asking for” | اهْبِطُوْا مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُمْ مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ
And they were covered with humiliation and misery as they drew on themselves the Wrath of Allah (SWT) |
that due to their disbelieving in the signs of Allah (SWT) | ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ
and killing the Prophets without right | وَيَقْتُلُوْنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ بِغَيْرِ الحَقِّ
2-61 | that was because they disobeyed and were transgressing |
So, they defeated them by the permission of Allah (SWT) and Dawood (AS) killed Jalut |
and Allah (SWT) gave him the kingdom and the wisdom, and He taught him from what He willed | وَءَاتَاهُ اللهُ المُلْكَ وَالحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُ مِمَّا يَشَآءُ
and had Allah (SWT) not checked the people, some of them by others certainly, the earth would have been ruined | وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَفَسَدَتِ الأَرْضُ
2-251 | but Allah (SWT) is the possessor of bounty to the worlds |
and hasten towards forgiveness from your Lord and paradise | وَسَارِعُوا إِلَى مَغْفِرَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ
3-133 | its width, wide as the heavens and the earth prepared for the pious |
that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger will wish | يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُوْلَ
4-42 | if the earth was levelled with them and not they will conceal from Allah (SWT) any statement |
Verily, Allah (SWT) helped you in many regions and on the day of hunain |
when your multitude pleased you, but it did not avail you anything | إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنْكُمْ شَيْئًا
9-25 | and the earth was straightened on you in spite of it being vast then you turned back fleeing |
and on the three, those who were left behind until when the earth straitened for them | وَعَلَى الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِيْنَ خُلِفُوا حَتَّى إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الأَرْضُ
though it was vast, and their own souls were straitened for them, and they were certain that there is no refuge | بِمَا رَجُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوا أَنْ لَّا مَلْجَأَ
from Allah (SWT) except to Him then He turned to them that they may repent | مِنَ اللهِ إِلَّآ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوْبُوا
9-118 | surely, Allah (SWT) He is Oft-Returning (Acceptor of repentance), Most-Merciful |
Only the example of the life of the world is like water which We sent down from the sky |
so, the plants of the earth absorb it from which the men and the cattle eat until | فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَبَاتُ الأَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ النَّاسُ وَالأَنْعَامُ حَتَّى
when the earth takes its adornment and is beautified, and its people think | إِذَآ أَخَذَتِ الأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَازَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَآ
that they have the power over it, Our command comes to it night or day | أَنَّهُمْ قَادِرُوْنَ عَلَيْهَآ أَتَاهَآ أَمْرُنَا لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا
and We make it a harvest clean mown as if not it had flourished yesterday | فَجَعَلْنَاهَا حَصِيْدًا كَأَن لَّمْ تَغْنَ بِالأَمْسِ
10-24 | thus, We explain the signs for a people who reflect |
they will dwell therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain | خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ
11-107 | except what your Lord wills, indeed, your Lord is the All-Accomplisher of what He intends |
as for those who were glad, then in Paradise they will abide in it | وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا فَفِى الجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا
for all the time the heaven and the earth endure except as your Lord wills | مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ
