| | |
| And when you said “O Moses we cannot endure one kind of food | وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوْسَى لَنْ نَّصْبِرَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ وَاحِدٍ |
| so, invoke your Lord for us to bring forth for us of what the earth grows | فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الأَرْضُ |
| of its herbs, its cucumbers, its wheat/garlic, its lentils and its onions” | مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَ قِثَّآئِهَا وَفَوْمِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا |
| He said “Would you exchange for that which is lesser with that which is better? | قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُوْنَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ |
| Go you down to a town and you shall find what you are asking for” | اهْبِطُوْا مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُمْ مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ |
| And they were covered with humiliation and misery as they drew on themselves the Wrath of Allah (SWT) | وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَآءُوْا بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللهِ |
| that due to their disbelieving in the signs of Allah (SWT) | ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ |
| and killing the Prophets without right | وَيَقْتُلُوْنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ بِغَيْرِ الحَقِّ |
| 2-61 | that was because they disobeyed and were transgressing | ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَّكَانُوْا يَعْتَدُوْنَ |
| They said “Call upon your Lord for us that He may make clear to us what it is” | قَالُوْا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَّنَا مَا هِيَ |
| He said “Truly He, He says it is certainly a cow not too old nor young but between that | قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُوْلُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ ا فَارِضٌ وَلَا بِكْرٌ عَوَانٌ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ |
| 2-68 | so do what you are commanded | فَافْعَلُوْا مَا تُؤْمَرُوْنَ |
| They said, “Call upon your Lord for us to make clear to us its color?” | قَالُوْا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَّنَا مَا لَوْنُهَا |
| 2-69 | He said “Truly He, He says it is certainly a yellow cow bright in its color, pleasing the ones who behold” | قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُوْلُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ صَفْرَآءُ فَاقِعٌ لَّوْنُهَا تَسُرُّ النَّاظِرِيْنَ |
| They said “Call upon your Lord for us to make clear to us what it is? | قَالُوْا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَّنَا مَا هِيَ |
| 2-70 | Surely to us all cows are alike and surely if Allah (SWT) wills, we will be ones who are guided | إِنَّ البَقَرَتَشَابَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّآ إِنْ شَآءَ اللهُ لَمُهْتَدُوْنَ |
| He said, “my Lord, make for me a sign” | قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ لِّي ءَايَةً |
| He said, “Your sign is that not you will speak to the people for three days except gesturing | قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا رَمْزًا |
| 3-41 | and mention (remember) your Lord much and glorify in the evening and the morning | وَاذْكُرْ رَّبَّكَ كَثِيْرًا وَسَبِّحْ بِالعَشِيِّ وَالإِبْكَارِ |
| and these are our arguments, We gave it to Ebrahim (AS) against his people | وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيْنَاهَآ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ |
| 6-83 | We raise degrees, whom We will, Truly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing | نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَّن نَّشَآءُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ |
| truly your Lord, He knows best who strays from His way | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَنْ يَضِلُّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِهِ |
| 6-117 | and He knows best of the guided ones | وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالمُهْتَدِيْنَ |
| and what for you that not you eat from what the name of Allah (SWT) is mentioned on it | وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ |
| when indeed, He has explained in detail to you what He forbid to you except what you are compelled to it | وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ |
| and truly most, surely lead astray by their desires, without knowledge | وَإِنَّ كَثِيْرًا لَّيُضِلُّوْنَ بِأَهْوَآئِهِمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ |
| 6-119 | truly your Lord, He knows best of the transgressors | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالمُعْتَدِيْنَ |
| and the day He will gather them all “O assembly of jinn indeed, you have many of the | وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيْعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ الجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ |
| people (humans-mankind)” and their friends among the people (mankind) will say | الإِنْسِ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ الإِنْسِ |
| “Our Lord some of us benefitted by others, and we have reached our term which you appointed for us” | رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا |
| He will say, “the fire is your home, forever abiding therein” | قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوَاكُمْ خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَآ |
| 6-128 | except what Allah (SWT) wills, indeed, your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing | إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اللهُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ |
| Say, “not I find in what was revealed to me forbidden to an eater eating it | قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِي مَآ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَى طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ |
| except that it be dead, or blood poured forth or flesh of swine | إِلَّآ أَنْ يَكُوْنَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دمًا مَّسْفُوْحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنْزِيْرٍ |
| for truly it is impure (filth) or disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah (SWT) with it | فَإِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أَهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللهِ بِهِ |
| 6-145 | but whoever is compelled not desiring and not transgressing then truly your Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
| and He is who made you successors in the earth and raised some of you above others | وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَآئِفَ الأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ |
| in rank to test you in what He gave you | دَرَجَاتٍ لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَآ ءَاتَاكُمْ |
| 6-165 | truly your Lord is swift in punishment and truly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيْعُ العِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
