كَ حَرْفُ جَرٍّ

A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – كَ حَرْفُ جَرٍّ is a particle

كَ is a particle (preposition) prefixed to nouns and other particles to mean as or like

Verse
or like a rainstorm from the sky wherein is darkness, thunder and lightning. They thrust their fingers in theirأَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيْهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَرَعَدٌ وَبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُوْنَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي ءَاذَانِهِمْ
2-19ears to keep out the stunning thunderclap for fear of death but Allah ever encompasses the disbelieversمِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقَ حَذَرَ المَوْتِ وَاللهُ مُحِيْطٌ بِالكَافِرِيْنَ
 
 
101-4it is a day when the people will be like scattered mothيَوْمَ يَكُوْنُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوْثِ
101-5and the mountains will be like teased woolوَتَكُوْنُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوْشِ
105-5Thus, making them like devoured cropفَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُوْلٍ
