Surah/ | Below are the 184 verses in the holy Quran containing the particle of condition |
Verse | Particle of condition
The lightning almost snatches away their sight |
whenever it flashes for them, they walk therein | كُلَّمَا أَضَآءَ لَهُمْ مَشَوْا فِيْهِ
however, when darkness covers them, they stand still | وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِم قَامُوْا
and if Allah (SWT) had willed He could have taken away their hearing and their sight | وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ
2-20 | Certainly Allah (SWT) has power over all things |
They followed the magic promoted by the devils during the reign of Solomon |
Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved |
teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two Angels | يُعَلِّمُوْنَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ
Harut and Marut, they however, did not teach anyone till they said | هَارُوْتَ وَمَارُوْتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُوْلَ
“We are only a test so do not disbelieve” |
and from these two they learn to cause separation with it, between man and his wife | فَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُوْنَ بِهِ بَيْنَ المَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ
but they do not harm anyone with it except by the permission of Allah (SWT) | وَمَا هُمْ بِضَآرِّيْنَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ
and they learn what harms them, not what benefits them | وَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ
and surely, they knew that the purchasers of it would have no share in the Hereafter | وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوْا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الأَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ
2-102 | and wretched is that, for which they sold themselves, if only they knew |
And had they believed and been mindful (of Allah SWT) |
2-103 | better would have been their reward with Allah (SWT) if only they knew |
And of mankind are some who take from other than Allah (SWT) as equals |
loving them as they love Allah (SWT) but those that believe are stronger in their love for Allah (SWT) | يُحِبُّوْنَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللهِ وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوْا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلَّهِ
And had those who wronged seen when they see the punishment |
2-165 | and realize that all power belongs to Allah (SWT) and that surely Allah (SWT) is severe in punishment |
And those who followed will say: “If that for us is a return (to the worldly life) | وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوْا لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً
then we will disown from them like they disowned from us | فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّؤُوا مِنَّا
Thus Allah (SWT) will show them their deeds as regrets for them | كَذَلِكَ يُرِيْهِمُ اللهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ حَسَرَاتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ
2-167 | and they will not be one’s who get out of the Fire |
