خَلَقَ
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – خَلَقَ is a verb
A verb will either be 1) past tense or 2) present or future tense or 3) a command or request verb, also called an imperative – خَلَقَ is a past tense verb
He created, determined, measured, proportioned, fashioned
To measure, proportion, determine, fashion, create, form a thing, be fit, apt to a thing, behave kindly.

| He it is Who created for you all that is on earth | هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَّا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا | |
| then He established the heaven and proportioned them into seven heavens | ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَآءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَوَاتٍ | |
| 2-29 | He is All Knowing over everything | وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ |
| and the divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three (menstrual) periods | وَالمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنْفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَاثَةَ قُرُوءٍ | |
| and not lawful for them to conceal what Allah (SWT) created in their wombs | وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَنْ يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللهُ فِى أَرْحَامِهِنَّ | |
| if they believe in Allah (SWT) and the last day | إِنْ كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ | |
| and their husbands have a better right to take them back in that if they wish reconciliation | وَبُعُوْلَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِى ذَلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُوا إِصْلَاحًا | |
| and for them like those on them with kindness | وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالمَعْرُوْفِ | |
| 2-228 | and for the men over them a degree and Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Wise | وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ وَاللهُ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ |
| O mankind! be mindful of your Lord who created you from a single soul | يَآ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ | |
| and He created from it, its mate and from them both, He dispersed many men and women | وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيْرًا وَنِسَآءً | |
| and be mindful of Allah (SWT) who you (all) ask from Him about the wombs | وَاتَّقُوا اللهَ الَّذِي تَسَآءَلُوْنَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ | |
| 4-1 | Indeed Allah (SWT) is over you, Ever Watchful | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيْبًا |
| The Jews and the Christians said, “We are the children of Allah (SWT) and His beloved” | وَقَالَتِ اليَهُوْدُ وَالنَّصَارَى نَحْنُ أَبْنَآؤُا اللهِ وَأَحِبَّآؤُهُ | |
| Say, “Then why He punishes you for your sins?” Nay, you are human beings from among those He created | قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُمْ بِذُنُوْبِكُمْ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ بَشَرٌ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ | |
| He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills and belongs to Allah (SWT) | يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَآءُ وَلِلَّهِ | |
| 5-18 | the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them both and to Him is the destination | مُلْكُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَإِلَيْهِ المَصِيْرِ |
| All praise and thanks belong to Allah (SWT) who created the heavens and the earth | الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ | |
| and made the darkness and the light | وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّوْرَ | |
| 6-1 | then those who disbelieved in their Lord, they ascribe equals | ثُمَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُوْنَ |
| and He is who created the heavens and the earth in truth | وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالحَقِّ | |
| and the day He says “Be” and it will be, His word is the truth | وَيَوْمَ يَقُوْلُ كُنْ فَيَكُوْنُ قَوْلُهُ الحَقُّ | |
| and for Him is the dominion (kingdom), the day the trumpet will be blown in | وَلَهُ المُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّوْرِ | |
| 6-73 | He is the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen and He is the All-Wise, All-Aware | عَالِمُ الغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ وَهُوَ الحَكِيْمُ الخَبِيْرُ |
| Originator of the heavens and the earth, how be for Him a son, while not is for Him | بَدِيْعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ أَنَّى يَكُوْنُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُ | |
| 6-101 | a companion and He created everything, and He is over everything, All-Knowing | صَاحِبَةٌ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ |
| Verily, your Lord is Allah (SWT) Who created the heavens and the earth in seven periods | إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ | |
| then He established upon the throne, He covers the night with the day, seeking it incessantly | ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الأَرْشِ يُغْشِى الَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطلُبُهُ حَثِيْثًا | |
| and the sun and the moon and the stars are subjected to His command | وَالشَّمْسَ وَالقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُوْمَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ | |
| 7-54 | unquestionably for Him is the creation and the command, Allah (SWT) is blessed, Nurturer of the creation (the worlds) | أَلَا لَهُ الخَلْقُ وَالأَمْرُ تَبَارَكَ اللهُ رَبُّ العَالَمِيْنَ |
| and do they not look in the kingdom of the heavens and the earth | أَوَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا فِي مَلَكُوْتِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ | |
| and what Allah (SWT) created of everything and that perhaps that their term (life) has surely come near? | وَمَا خَلَقَ اللهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَى أَن يَكُوْنَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ | |
| 7-185 | so, in what statement after this will they believe? | فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيْثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
