يَعْلَم
A word in the Arabic language will either be: 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – يَعْلَم is a verb
A verb will either be: 1) past tense or 2) present or future tense or 3) a command or request verb, also called an imperative – يَعْلَم is a present tense verb
A present or future tense verb will be in one of the following states: 1) مَرْفُوْعٌ – nominative or 2) مَنْصُوْبٌ – accusative or 3) مَجْزُوْمٌ – jussive
يَعْلَمُ is the natural state of this verb, which means it is in the state of (مَرْفُوْعٌ) and it changes to يَعْلَم when it is preceded by a jussive particle like 1) لَامُ الأَمْرِ which is a particle of command or request for a third person or 2) حَرْفُ جَزْمٍ وَنَفْيٍ وَقَلْبٍ a past negation particle or 3) لَا النَّاهِيَةُ a prohibition particle

| The Hajj is in well-known months so, whoever undertakes therein the hajj | الحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيْهِنَّ الحَجَّ | |
| then no sexual relations nor wickedness nor quarrelling in the hajj | فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوْقَ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِي الحَجِّ | |
| and whatever you do of good Allah (SWT) knows it | وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللهُ | |
| and take a provision but the best provision is piety (righteousness) | وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى | |
| 2-197 | so, fear Me, O men of understanding! | وَاتَّقُوْنِ يَآ أُوْلِى الأَلْبَابِ |
| Say, “If you conceal what is in your breasts or you reveal it Allah (SWT) knows it | قُلْ إِنْ تُخْفُوا مَا فِي صُدُوْرِكُمْ أَوْ تُبْدُوْهُ يَعْلَمْهُ اللهُ | |
| nd He knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth | وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ | |
| 3-29 | and Allah (SWT) is over everything, All-Powerful” | وَاللهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ |
| O prophet! say to whoever is in your hands of the captives | يَآ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُل لِّمَنْ فِي أَيْدِيْكُم مِّنَ الأَسْرَى | |
| “if Allah (SWT) knows any good in your heart, He will give you better | إِن يَعْلَمِ اللهُ فِي قُلُوْبِكُمْ خَيْرًا يُؤْتِكُمْ خَيْرًا | |
| 8-70 | than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you and Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | مِّمَّآ أُخِذَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ وَاللهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
| Do you think that you will be left while not Allah (SWT) knows (makes evident) those who strive among them | أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تُتْرَكُوا وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللهُ الَّذِيْنَ جَاهَدُوا مِنْكُمْ | |
| and did not take from other than Allah (SWT) and not His messenger and not the believers as intimates? | وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذُوا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ وَلَا رَسُوْلِهِ وَلَا المُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَلِيْجَةً | |
| 9-16 | and Allah (SWT) is well aware of what you do | وَاللهُ خَبِيْرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ |

| 96-5 | He taught man what he did not know | عَلَّمَ الإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَم |
