يَقُوْلُ
A word in the Arabic language will either be: 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – يَقُوْلُ is a verb
A verb will either be: 1) past tense or 2) present or future tense or 3) a command or request verb, also called an imperative – يَقُوْلُ is a present tense verb
He says
To speak, say, inspire, profess, grasp, relate, think, answer, reply, transmit, indicate a condition or state or circumstance

| And of mankind are some who say: “We believe in Allah (SWT) and the last day” | وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُوْلُ ءَامَنَّا بِاللهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ | |
| 2-8 | but they are not of the believers | وَمَا هُمْ بِمُؤْمِنِيْنَ |
| They said “Call upon your Lord for us that He may make clear to us what it is” | قَالُوْا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَّنَا مَا هِيَ | |
| He said “Truly He, He says it is certainly a cow not too old nor young but between that | قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُوْلُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ ا فَارِضٌ وَلَا بِكْرٌ عَوَانٌ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ | |
| 2-68 | so do what you are commanded | فَافْعَلُوْا مَا تُؤْمَرُوْنَ |
| They said, “Call upon your Lord for us to make clear to us its color?” | قَالُوْا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَّنَا مَا لَوْنُهَا | |
| He said “Truly He, He says it is certainly a yellow cow | قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُوْلُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ صَفْرَآءُ | |
| 2-69 | bright in its color, pleasing the ones who behold” | فَاقِعٌ لَّوْنُهَا تَسُرُّ النَّاظِرِيْنَ |
| He said Truly He says “It is certainly a cow neither trained to till the soil | قَالَ إِنَّهُ يَقُوْلُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لَّا ذَلُوْلٌ تُثِيْرُ الأَرْضَ | |
| nor water the fields, sound, having no other color” | وَلَا تَسْقِي الحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لَّا شِيَةَ فِيْهَا | |
| They said “Now you have brought the truth” | قَالُوْا الئَانَ جِئْتَ بِالحَقِّ | |

| the day when man will see what his hands have sent forth | يَوْمَ يَنْظُرُ المَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ | |
| 78-40 | and the disbeliever will say, “woe to me! would that I be dust” | وَيَقُوْلُ الكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ تُرَابًا |
| As for man, when his Lord tries him by honoring him and favoring him | فَأَمَّا الإِنْسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ | |
| 89-15 | then he says “my Lord has honored me” | فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّى أَكْرَمَنِ |
| but when He tries him by straitening his provision | وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ | |
| 89-16 | then he says “my Lord has humiliated me” | فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّى أَهَانَنِ |
| 89-24 | He will say “Alas would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for my life (hereafter) | يَقُوْلُ يَالَيْتَنِى قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى |
| 90-6 | He says “I have squandered wealth in abundance” | يَقُوْلُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالًا لُّبَدًا |
