يَنْهَى

A word in the Arabic language will either be: 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – يَنْهَى is a verb

A verb will either be: 1) past tense or 2) present or future tense or 3) a command or request verb, also called an imperative – يَنْهَى is a present tense verb

A present or future tense verb will be in one of the following states: 1) مَرْفُوْعٌ – nominative or 2) مَنْصُوْبٌ – accusative or 3) مَجْزُوْمٌ – jussive

يَنْهَى is the nominative (مَرْفُوْعٌ ) state of this verb, which means it is in its natural state

Why do the rabbis and the religious scholars not forbid them from sinful wordsلَوْ لَا يَنْهَاهُمُ الرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالأَحْبَارُ عَنْ قَوْلِهِمُ الإِثْمَ
5-63and from consuming the forbidden, evil indeed, is what they used to doوَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُوْنَ

in the Taurat and the Injeel, he commands them to the right (good) and he forbids them from the wrongفِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَالإِنْجِيْلِ يَأْمُرُهُمْ بِالمَعْرُوْفِ وَيَنْهَاهُمْ عَنِ المُنْكَرِ
and he makes lawful for them the pure (good) and makes unlawful for them the impure (bad)وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ الخَبَآئِثَ
and he relieves (removes) from them their burden and the fetters (shackles-chains) which were upon themوَيَضَعُ عَنْهُمْ إِصْرَهُمْ وَالأَغْلَالَ الَّتِي كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ
 so, those who believe in him and honor him and help him and follow the light which has been sent downفَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا بِهِ وَعَزَّرُوْهُ وَنَصَرُوْهُ وَاتَّبَعُوا النُّوْرَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ
7-157with him, those, they are the successful onesمَعَهُ أُوْلَآئِكَ هُمُ المُفْلِحُوْنَ
