those who remember Allah (SWT) standing and sitting and on their sidesالَّذِيْنَ يَذْكُرُوْنَ اللهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُوْدًا وَعَلَى جُنُوْبِهِمْ
and they ponder (reflect) on the creation of the heavens and earthوَيَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ فِيْ خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ
3-191“Our Lord! not You created this in vain, Glory be to You so save us from the punishment of the fire”رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذَا بَاطِلًا سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
If you avoid the big of what you are forbidden from itإِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَآئِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ
4-31We will remove from you your evil deeds and We will admit you a noble admittanceنُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُمْ مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيْمًا
and worship Allah (SWT) and do not associate with Him anythingوَاعْبُدُوا اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا
and with your parents be excellent and with the relatives and the orphans and the needyوَبِالوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَبِذِي القُرْبَى وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنِ
and the near neighbor and the distant neighborوَالجَارِ ذِي القُرْبَى وَالجَارِ ذِي الجُنُبِ
and the companion by your side, the son of the way (wayfarer) and who your right hands possessوَالصَّاحِبِ بِالجَنْبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيْلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ
4-36indeed Allah (SWT) does not love who is self-deluded boasterإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَغُوْرًا
O you who believe! don’t go near the prayer while you are intoxicatedيَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاَنْتُمْ سُكَارَى
until you know what you say nor when in need of a bath except when you are travellingحَتَّى تَعْلَمُوا مَا تَقُوْلُوْنَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِي سَبِيْلٍ
until you have washed yourself and if you are sick or on a journeyحَتَّى تَغْتَسِلُوا وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَّرْضَى أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ
or one of you came from the toilet or you have touched the womenأَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنْكُمْ مِّنَ الغآئِظِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَآءَ
and not you found water then betake yourselves to clean earthفَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَآءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيْدًا طَيِّبًا
and wipe over your faces and your handsفَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوْهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيْكُمْ
4-43indeed Allah (SWT) is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgivingإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُوْرًا
then when you completed the prayer then remember Allah (SWT) standing and sittingفَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُوْدًا
and on your sides but when you are secure then establish the prayerوَعَلَى جُنُوْبِكُمْ فَإِذَا اطْمَأْنَنْتُمْ فَأَقِيْمُوا الصَّلَاةَ
4-103truly the prayer at fixed times is prescribed on the believersإِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى المُؤْمِنِيْنَ كِتَابًا مَّوْقُوْتًا
O you who believe! when you stand up for the prayer then wash your facesيَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَوةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوْهَكُمْ
and your hands till the elbows and wipe your heads and your feet till the anklesوَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى المَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوْسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الكَعْبَيْنِ
but if you are requiring a wash then purify yourselves and if you are ill or on a journeyوَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوا وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَّرْضَى أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ
or anyone among you came from the toilet or you touched women and you don’t find waterأَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنْكُمْ مِّنَ الغَآئِطِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَآءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَآءًا
then take clean earth and wipe your faces and your hands with itفَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيْدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوْهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيْكُمْ مِّنْهُ
Allah (SWT) wishes not to make for you any difficulty but rather He wishes to purify youمَا يُرِيْدُ اللهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّنْ حَرَجٍ وَلَاكِنْ يُرِيْدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ
5-6and to complete His favor upon you so that you may be gratefulوَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ
O you who believe! Verily, the intoxicants and the games of chanceيَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِنَّمَا الخَمْرُ وَالمَيْسِرُ
and the altars and divining arrows are an abomination from the work of Satanوَالأَنْصَابُ وَالأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ
5-90so, avoid them so that you may be successfulفَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ
On the day it will be heated in the fire of hell and will be branded with itيَوْمَ يُحْمَى عَلَيْهَا فِيْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُقْوَى بِهَا
their foreheads and their flanks and their backsجِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوْبُهُمْ وَظُهُوْرُهُمْ
9-35“This is what you hoarded for yourselves so taste what you used to hoard”هَذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ فَذًُوْقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْنِزُوْنَ
and when harm touches man, he calls Us lying on his side or sitting or standingوَإِذَا مَسَّ الإِنْسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنْبِهِ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَآئِمًا
but when We remove from him his affliction he passes on as if he had not called Us for the affliction that touched himفَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَدْعُنَآ إِلَى ضُرٍّ مَّسَّهُ
10-12likewise, it is made fair seeming to the extravagant what they used to doكَذَلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِيْنَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُوْنَ
