They followed the magic practiced by the devils during the reign of Solomonوَاتَّبَعُوْا مَا تَتْلُوْا الشَّيَاطِيْنُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ
Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelievedوَمَا كَفَرَسُلَيْمَانُ وَلَاكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا
teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon, to the two Angels, Harut andيُعَلِّمُوْنَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوْتَ
Marut, they however, did not teach anyone till they said, “We are only a test so, do not disbelieve”وَمَارُوْتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُوْلَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ
and from these two, they learn to cause separation with it, between man and his wifeفَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُوْنَ بِهِ بَيْنَ المَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ
but they do not harm anyone with it except by the permission of Allah (SWT)وَمَا هُمْ بِضَآرِّيْنَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ
and they learn what harms them, not what benefits themوَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ
and surely, they knew that the purchasers of it would have no share in the Hereafterوَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوْا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الأَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ
2-102and wretched is that, for which they sold themselves, if only they knewوَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ
O you who believe! when you contract with one another any debt, for a fixed term, then write itيَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِذَا تَدَايَنْتُم بِدَيْنٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمَّى فَاكْتُبُوْهُ
and let a scribe write between you in justice and the writer must not refuse to write, like howوَلْيَكْتُب بَّيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالعَدْلِ وَلَا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ أَن يَكْتَبَ كَمَا
Allah (SWT) taught him so, let him write and let who incurs the liability dictate and let him fearعَلَّمَهُ اللهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ
Allah (SWT) his Lord and diminish not from it anything but if who, on him is the debt, isاللهَ رَبَّهُ وَلَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَإِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الحَقُّ
poor in understanding or weak or unable to dictate for himself then let his guardian dictateسَفِيْهًا أَوْ ضَعِيْفًا أَوْ لَا يَسْتَطِيْعُ أَنْ يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ
in justice and witness with two witnesses, from your men and if there are not two menبِالعَدْلِ وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَهِيْدَيْنِ مِن رِّجَالِكُمْ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُوْنَا رَجُلَيْنِ
then a man and two women, from whom you are pleased from witnessing, if one of them errsفَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَأَتَانِ مِمَّن تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَآءِ أَنْ تَضِلَّ إِحْدَاهُمَا
then the other of the two can remind her and the witnesses should not refuse when they are calledفَتُذَكِّرَ إِحْدَاهُمَا الأُخْرَى وَلَا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَآءُ إِذَا مَا دُعُوا
and don’t be weary to write it whether it be small or big, for its fixed termوَلَا تَسْئَمُوا أَنْ تَكْتُبُوْهُ صَغِيْرًا أَوْ كَبِيْرًا إِلَى أَجَلِهِ
that is more just with Allah (SWT) and more solid as evidence and more convenient, to prevent doubtذَلِكُمْ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَأَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَأَدْنَى أَلَّا تَرْتَابُوا
except when it is a present trade you carry out, on the spot, between you then no sin on youإِلَّآ أَنْ تَكُوْنَ تِجَارَةً حَاضِرَةً تُدِيْرُوْنَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ
if you don’t write it but take witnesses when you make a contract and not must suffer any harmأَلَّا تَكْتُبُوْهَا وَأَشْهِدُوا إِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْ وَلَا يُضَآرَّ
the writer, nor the witness, but if you do then truly, it will be wickedness in you كَاتِبٌ وَلَا شَهِيْدٌ وَإِنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَإِنَّهُ فُسُوْقٌ بِكُمْ
2-282and fear Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) teaches you and Allah (SWT) is over everything, All-Knowingوَاتَّقُوا اللهَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللهُ وَاللهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ
When the wife of Imran said, “My Lord, indeed, I vowed to you, what is in my womb, dedicatedإِذْ قَالَتِ امْرَأَتُ عِمْرَانَ رَبِّ إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لَكَ مَا فِي بَطْنِي مُحَرَّرًا
3-35so, accept from me, indeed you, you are All-Hearing, All-Knowingفَتَقَبَّلْ مِنِّي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيْعُ العَلِيْمُ
He said, “My Lord, how can be for me a son? as verily old age has reached me, and my wife is barrenقَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُوْنُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ
3-40verily old age has reached me and my wife is barren He said, “Thus Allah (SWT) does what He wishes”وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ اللهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ
and give the women their dowry graciously and if they remit to you of anythingوَءَاتُوا النِّسَآءَ صَدُقَاتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةً فَإِنْ طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ
4-4of it on their own then take it (eat-consume) satisfied, at easeمِنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوْهُ هَنِيْئًا مَّرِيْئًا
and for you is half of what your spouses left if not is for them a childوَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَاجُكُمْ إِنْ لَّمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٌ
but if is for them a child then for you is a fourth of what they left from after any will they madeفَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوْصِيْنَ
for it or any debt and for them is a fourth of what you left if not is for you a childبِهَآ أَوْدَيْنٍ وَلَهُنَّ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَّكُمْ وَلَدٌ
but if is for you a child then for them an eighth of what you left from after any will you madeفَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ الثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ مِّنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ تُوْصُوْنَ
for it or any debt and if is a man whose wealth is to be inherited has no parent or child or womenبِهَآ أَوْدَيْنٍ وَإِنْ كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُوْرَثُ كَلَالَةً أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ
and for him is a brother or a sister then for each one of the two is a sixth but if they are more thanوَلَهُ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ فَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ فَإِنْ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ
that then they are partners in a third from after any will was made for it or any debtذَلِكَ فَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فِي الثُّلُثِ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوْصَى بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ
4-12without harm an ordinance from Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, Most-Forbearingغَيْرَ مُضَآرٍ وَصِيَّةً مِّنَ اللهِ وَاللهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَلِيْمٌ
and if a woman fears from her husband ill conduct or turning away (desertion)وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنْ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوْزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا
then no sin on them both to make peace between them in reconciliation and reconciliating is betterفَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَآ أَنْ يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ
and the souls are moved by greed and if you do good and fear وَأُحْضِرَتِ الأَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّ وَإِنْ تُحْسِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا
4-128then truly Allah (SWT) is with what you do, All-Awareفَإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرًا
They ask you, say, “Allah (SWT) explains concerning the ones without heirs, if a man died and notيَسْتَفْتُوْنَكَ قُلِ اللهُ يُفْتِيْكُمْ فِي الكَلَالَةِ إِنِ امْرُؤٌا هَلَكَ لَيْسَ
for him a child but for him a sister then for her is half of what he left, and he inherits it if is for her noلَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا
child, but if there were two females then for them both two thirds from what he leftوَلَدٌ فَإِنْ كَانَتَا اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا الثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ
and if they were siblings, men and women then for the male like a portion of two femalesوَإِنْ كَانُوا إِخْوَةً رِّجَالًا وَنِسَآءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ
4-176Allah (SWT) makes clear for you lest you stray, and Allah (SWT) is over everything All-Knowingيُبَيِّنُ اللهُ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا وَاللهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ

74-52nay, every person among them desires he be given pages, spread outبَلْ يُرِيْدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَنْ يُؤْتَى صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً
Indeed, We warn you of a near punishment, the day when the man will see what his hands have sentإِنَّآ أَنْذَرْنَاكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيْبًا يَوْمَ يَنْظُرُ المَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ
78-40forth and the disbeliever will say, “woe to me! would that I be dust”وَيَقُوْلُ الكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ تُرَابًا
80-34the day when the man will flee from his brotherيَوْمَ يَفِرُّ المَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيْهِ
80-37for every man among them that day, a matter causing him to be totally occupiedلِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَانٌ يُغْنِيْهِ
