الحَمْدُ
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – الحَمْدُ is a noun
A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive
الحَمْدُ is the natural state of a definite noun and it is in this state ( مَرْفُوْعٌ) when the noun is: 1) the subject المُبْتَدَأُ or 2) the predicate الخَبَرُ or 3) اسْمُ كَانَ or 4) خَبَرُ إِنَّ or 5) الفَاعِلُ subject of a verb in the active voice or 6) نَائِبُ الفَاعِلِ subject of a verb in the passive voice or 7) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym
True praise, praise offered in appreciation of one worthy of praise, who has favored of His own volition and according to His own choice – this word not only embodies the idea of thankfulness but also has reference to the intrinsic qualities of the object of praise, implying admiration, magnifying and honoring of the object of praise and humility and submissiveness in the person offering the praise

| All praise and thanks belong to Allah (SWT) who created the heavens and the earth | الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ | |
| and He made the darkness and the light | وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّوْرَ | |
| 6-1 | then those who disbelieved in their Lord, they ascribe equals | ثُمَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُوْنَ |
| So, the root of the people who did wrong was cut off | فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ القَوْمِ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوا | |
| 6-45 | and all praises and thanks belong to Allah (SWT), the Lord of the worlds | وَالحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ |
| And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of malice, flows from underneath them, rivers | وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُوْرِهِمْ مِّنْ غِلٍّ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الأَنْهَارُ | |
| and they say, “All praise and thanks belong to Allah (SWT) Who guided us to this or else, not we be guided | وَقَالُوا الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ | |
| If not that Allah (SWT) guided us, certainly, without a doubt, Messengers of our Lord came with the truth” | لَوْلَآ أَنْ هَدَانَا اللهُ لَقَدْ جَآءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالحَقِّ | |
| 7-43 | and they will be addressed that “This is Paradise, you have been made to inherit it for what you used to do” | وَنُوْدُوا أَنْ تِلْكُمُ الجَنَّةُ أَوْرِثْتُمُوْهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| Their prayer therein (will be) “Glory be to You, O Allah (SWT)” and their greeting therein “Peace” | دَعْوَاهُمْ فِيْهَا سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيْهَا سَلَامٌ | |
| 10-10 | and the last of their call will be that “All the praises and thanks belong to Allah (SWT) Lord of the worlds” | وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَاهُمْ أَنِ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ |

| and say, “All the praises and thanks belong to Allah (SWT) who has not begotten a son and not is for Him a partner | وَقُلِ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِى لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ شَرِيْكٌ | |
| 17-111 | in the creation and not is for Him a protector out of need and magnify Him with all due magnificence | فِى المُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ وَلِيٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلِّ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيْرًا |
| All the praises and thanks belong to Allah (SWT) who sent down to His slave, the Book | الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ الكِتَابَ | |

| Who made the angels messengers, those with wings, two or three or four | جَاعِلِ المَلَآئِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُوْلِى أَجْنِحَةٍ مَّثْنَى وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ | |
| He increases in the creation who He wills | يَزِيْدُ فِي الخَلْقِ مَا يَشَآءُ | |
| 35-1 | Indeed Allah (SWT) is over all things All-Powerful | إِنَّ اللهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ |

| 37-182 | and all the praises and thanks are to Allah (SWT), Lord of the creation | وَالحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ |

| and you will see the angels surrounding from around the throne | وَتَرَى المَلَآئِكَةَ حَآفِّيْنَ مِن حَوْلِ العَرْشِ | |
| glorifying the praises of their Lord and it will be judged between them in truth | يُسَبِّحُوْنَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالحَقِّ | |
| 39-75 | and it will be said, “all the praises and thanks are for Allah (SWT), Lord of the creation” | وَقِيْلَ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ |
