حُبِّ
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – حُبِّ is a noun
A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive
الحُبُّ is the natural state of a definite noun and becomes الحُبِّ due to: 1) a preposition that precedes it or 2) a possessed noun that precedes it or 3) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym
الحُبِّ loses it’s definite article, becoming حُبِّ due to it being a possessed noun

and of mankind are some who take from other than Allah (SWT) as equals | وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَّتَخِذُ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ أَنْدَادًا | |
loving them as they love Allah (SWT) but those that believe are stronger in their love for Allah (SWT) | يُحِبُّوْنَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللهِ وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوْا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِلَّهِ | |
and had those who wronged seen when they see the punishment | وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوْا إِذْ يَرَوْنَ العَذَابَ | |
2-165 | and realize that all power belongs to Allah (SWT) and that surely Allah (SWT) is severe in punishment | أَنَّ القُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيْعًا وَأَنَّ اللهَ شَدِيْدُ العَذَابِ |
piety is not that you turn your faces towards east and west | لَيْسَ البِرَّ أَنْ تُوَلُّوْا وُجُوْهَكُمْ قِبَلَ المَشْرِقِ وَالمَغْرِبِ | |
but piety is one who believes in Allah (SWT) and the last day and the angels | وَلَاكِنَّ البِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَالمَلَآئِكَةِ | |
and the book and the prophets and gives his wealth in spite of his love of it | وَالكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيِّنَ وَءَاتِي المَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ | |
to his relatives and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer | ذَوِى القُرْبَى وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيْلِ | |
and to one’s who asks and in freeing the necks and who establish the prayer and give the tax | وَالسَّآئِلِيْنَ وَفِى الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتَى الزَّكَاةَ | |
and who fulfil their covenant when they make it | وَالمُوْفُوْنَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَاهَدُوْا | |
and the ones who are patient in suffering and hardship and times of stress | وَالصَّابِرِيْنَ فِي البَأْسَآءِ وَالضَّرَّآءِ وَحِيْنَ البَأْسِ | |
2-177 | Those are who are true and those, they are Pious | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ صَدَقُوْا وَأُوْلَآئِكَ هُمُ المُتَّقُوْنَ |
76-8 | and they feed the food out of love for Him to needy and orphan and captives | وَيُطْعِمُوْنَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ مِسْكِيْنًا وَيَتِيْمًا أَسِيْرًا |
100-8 | truly he is excessive in his love of wealth | وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيْدٌ |
