أَهْلِ

A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – أَهْلِ is a noun

A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive

الأَهْلُ is the natural state of this definite noun and becomes الأَهْلِ due to: 1) a preposition that precedes it or 2) a possessed noun that precedes it or 3) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym

الأَهْلِ loses it’s definite article, becoming أَهْلِ due to it being a possessed noun

Family, Family member, House, Household, People belonging to a community or locality

To marry, to get accustomed to (a place), welcome any one

Surah/Below are the 24 verses in the holy Quran containing the genitive, possessed nounأَهْلِ
Verse
Neither those who disbelieve from the people of the book, nor the polytheists wishمَّا يَوَدُّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ وَلَا المُشْرِكِيْنَ
that any good be sent down to you from your Lordأَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ
2-105but Allah (SWT) chooses for His Mercy who He wills and Allah (SWT) is the Possessor of Great Bountyوَاللهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَآءُ وَاللهُ ذُوْ الفَضْلِ العَظِيْمِ
Many from the people of the book wish they could turn you back from after your faithوَدَّ كَثِيْرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّوْنَكُمْ مِّنْ بَعْدِ إِيْمَانِكُمْ
to disbelieve, out of envy from themselves after the truth has been made clear to themكُفَّارًا حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِنْدِ أَنْفُسِهِمْ مِّنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الحَقُّ
so, forgive and overlook until Allah (SWT) brings His Commandفَاعْفُوْا وَأَصْفَحُوْا حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللهُ بِأَمْرِهِ
2-109Certainly Allah (SWT) is over all things Powerfulإِنَّ اللهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ
A group from the people of the book wish if they can lead you astrayوَدَّتْ طَّآئِفَةٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ لَوْ يُضِلُّوْنَكُمْ
3-69but not they lead astray except themselves however, not they perceive itوَمَا يُضِلُّوْنَ إِلَّآ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ
and a group from the people of the book saidوَقَالَتْ طَّآئِفَةٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ
“Believe in what was revealed to those who believe at the beginning of the dayءَامِنُوا بِالَّذِيْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَجْهَ النَّهَارِ
3-72and disbelieve (reject) it at the last (end) of it so that (perhaps) they may return (turn back)”وَاكْفُرُوا ءَاخِرُهُ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُوْنَ
and from the people of the book are who if you entrust him with a heap of wealth he will return it to youوَمِنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ مَنْ إِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِقِنْطَارٍ يُؤَدِّهِ إِلَيْكَ
and among them are who if you entrust him with a single coin, not will he return it to youوَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ إِنْ تَأْمَنْهُ بِدِيْنَارٍ لَّا يُؤَدِّهِ إِلَيْكَ
except that you keep constantly over him, standingإِلَّا مَا دُمْتَ عَلَيْهِ قَآئِمًا
that because that they said: “Not on us concerning the unlettered people, a way (accountability)”ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَيْسَ عَلَيْنَا فِي الأُمِّيِّيْنَ سَبِيْلٌ
3-75and they tell a lie about Allah (SWT) while they knowوَيَقُوْلُوْنَ عَلَى اللهِ الكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُوْنَ
They are not the same, from the people of the book, a community standingلَيْسُوا سَوَآءٍ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ أُمَّةٌ قَآئِمَةٌ
3-113they recite the verses of Allah (SWT) during the hours of the night, and they prostrateيَتْلُوْنَ ءَايَاتِ اللهِ ءَانَآءَ الَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُوْنَ
And certainly, from the people of the book surely who believe in Allah (SWT) and what was revealed to youوَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ لَمَن يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ
and what was revealed to them, humbly submissive to Allah (SWT) not they exchange the verses of Allah (SWT)وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِعِيْنَ لِلَّهِ لَا يَشْتَرُوْنَ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ
3-199for a small price those, for them, their reward is with their Lord, surely Allah (SWT) is swift in accountثَمَنًا قَلِيْلًا أُوْلَآئِكَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ إِنَّ اللهَ سَرِيْعُ الحِسَابِ
not by your wishes and not by the wishes of the people of the bookلَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَآ أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ
who does evil will be recompensed for itمَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ
4-123and not will he find for him from other than Allah (SWT) a friend nor a helperوَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيْرًا
and not from the people of the book except he must absolutely believe in him before his deathوَإِن مِّنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ إِلَّا لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ
4-159and on the day of resurrection he (AS) will be against them a witnessوَيَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ يَكُوْنُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيْدًا
and from who around you from the Bedouins are the hypocrites and from the people of the cityوَمِمَّنْ حَوْلَكُم مِّنَ الأَعْرَابِ مُنَافِقُوْنَ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ المَدِيْنَةِ
they persist in the hypocrisy, not you know them, We know them, We will punish them twiceمَرَدُوا عَلَى النِّفَاقِ لَا تَعْلَمُهُمْ نَحْنُ نَعْلَمُهُمْ سَنُعَذِّبُهُم مَّرَّتَيْنِ
9-101then they will be returned to a great punishmentثُمَّ يُرَدُّوْنَ إِلَى عَذَابٍ عَظِيْمٍ
Not it was for the people of the city and who were around them from the Bedouins to remain behindمَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ المَدِيْنَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُم مِّنَ الأَعْرَابِ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا
from the Messenger of Allah (SWT) and not they prefer their lives over his lifeعَن رَّسُوْلِ اللهِ وَلَا يَرْغَبُوا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَن نَّفْسِهِ
that is because thirst does not afflict them nor fatigue nor hungerذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لَا يُصِيْبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلَا نَصَبٌ وَلَا مَخْمَصَةٌ
in the way of Allah (SWT) and not they step any step that angers the disbelieversفِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ وَلَا يَطَئُوْنَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيْظُ الكُفَّارَ
and not they inflict on an enemy an infliction except is recorded for them in it as a righteous deedوَلَا يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّيْلًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ بِهِ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ
9-120surely, Allah (SWT) does not allow to be lost the reward of the good-doersإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُضِيْعُ أَجْرَ المُحْسِنِيْنَ

Not were those who disbelieved from the people of the bookلَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ
98-1and the polytheists to be abandoned until the clear evidence comes to themوَالْمُشْرِكِيْنَ مُنْفَكِّيْنَ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ
Truly those who disbelieve from the people of the book and the polytheists will be in the fire of hellإِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِيْنَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ
98-6abiding therein forever, those are the worst of creaturesخَالِدِيْنَ فِيهَآ أُوْلَآئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ البَرِيَّةِ
