And indeed, We gave Musa the book and followed it with a succession of Messengers |
And We gave Isa, son of Mary clear signs and supported him with the Pure Spirit |
Is it that whenever there came to you a messenger with what you yourselves desired not you grew arrogant? |
2-87 | So, some you denied and some you killed |
And when there came to them a Messenger from Allah (SWT) confirming what was with them | وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مِّنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ
a party of those who were given the Book threw away the book of Allah (SWT) | نَبَذَ فَرِيْقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوْا الكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللهِ
2-101 | behind their backs as if they did not know | وَرَآءَ ظُهُوْرِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ |
and when Allah (SWT) took the covenant of the prophets “Indeed, what I have given you from the book and wisdom | وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللهُ مِيْثَاقَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ لَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُكُمْ مِّنْ كِتَابٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ
then a messenger came to you confirming what was with you Indeed, you must certainly believe in him | ثُمَّ جَآءَكُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهِ
and certainly you must help him He said, “Do you affirm, and you take on that, my covenant?”
3-81 | they said: “We affirm” He said: “Then bear witness that I am with you among the ones who witness” |
