أُوْتُوْا
A word in the Arabic language will either be: 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – أُوْتُوْا is a verb
A verb will either be: 1) past tense or 2) present or future tense or 3) a command or request verb, also called an imperative – أُوْتُوْا is a past tense verb
A past tense verb may either be in the: 1) active voice or 2) passive voice – أُوْتُوا is in the passive voice
They will be given
To come, to bring, bring to, come to, come to pass, come upon, do, commit, come easily, arrive, bring, give, reach, happen, overtake, draw near, go, hit, meet, join, come personally or through command or operation and enforcement of orders, be engaged or occupied, commit (offense), perpetrate (crime), undertake (enterprise)

| And when there came to them a Messenger from Allah (SWT) confirming what was with them | وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ رَسُوْلٌ مِّنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ | |
| a party of those who were given the Book threw away the book of Allah (SWT) | نَبَذَ فَرِيْقٌ مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوْا الكِتَابَ كِتَابَ اللهِ | |
| 2-101 | behind their backs as if they did not know | وَرَآءَ ظُهُوْرِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| Surely, We saw you turn your (SAW) face to the heavens surely, We shall turn you to a Qibla that will please you | قَدْ نَرَى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَآءِ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا | |
| so, turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque so, wherever you are turn your faces towards it | فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ المَسْجِدِ الحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوْهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ | |
| and truly those who were given the book certainly know that this is the truth from their Lord | وَإِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوْا الكِتَابَ لَيَعْلَمُوْنَ أَنَّهُ الحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ | |

| except a trial for those who disbelieve so that those who were given the book may be convinced | إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا الكِتَابَ | |
| and those who believe may increase in faith and those who were given the book and the believers do not doubt | وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِيْمَانًا وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا الكِتَابَ وَالمُؤْمِنُوْنَ | |
| and those in whose hearts is a disease and the disbelievers may say “What does Allah (SWT) intend | وَلِيَقُوْلَ الَّذِيْنَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالكَافِرُوْنَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ اللهُ | |
| by this example?” thus Allah (SWT) leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills | بِهَذَا مَثَلً كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللهُ مَنْ يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَآءُ | |
| 74-31 | and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He and this is not except a reminder to mankind | وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُوْدَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَى لِلْبَشَرِ |
| 98-4 | And those who were given the book differed not until after clear evidence came to them | وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوْا الْكِتَابَ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَائَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ |
