رَءَا

A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – رَءَا is a verb

A verb will either be 1) past tense or 2) present or future tense or 3) a command or request verb, also called an imperative – رَءَا is a past tense verb

Verse
So, when the night covered over him, he saw a star he said “This is my Lord”فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ الَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي
6-76but when it set, he said “not I like the ones that set”فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَا أُحِبُّ الآفِلِيْنَ
and when he saw the moon rising, he said “This is my Lord” but when it setفَلَمَّا رَءَا القَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ
6-77he said “Certainly, if my Lord guides me not, I will surely be among the people who went astrayقَالَ لَئِنْ لَّمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ القَوْمِ الضَّآلِّيْنَ
and when he saw the sun rising, he said, “This is my Lord, this is greaterفَلَمَّا رَءَا الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي هَذَآ أَكْبَرُ
6-78but when it set, he said, “O my people, truly I am free of what you associate”فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَاقَوْمِ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُوْنَ
but when he saw their hands went not to it, he mistrusted them and conceived a fear of themفَلَمَّا رَءَآ أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُم وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُم خِيْفَةً
11-70they said, “fear not, truly we have been sent to the people of Lut (AS)قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَى قَوْمِ لُوْطٍ
