كَفَرَ
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – كَفَرَ is a verb
A verb will either be: 1) past tense or 2) present or future tense or 3) a command or request verb, also called an imperative – كَفَرَ is a past tense verb
He disbelieved, denied, committed breach of faith, rejected the faith, disobeyed, became ungrateful, showed ingratitude
To cover, deny, hide, renounce, reject, disbelieve (opposite of belief), be ungrateful, negligent, expiate, darken

| they followed what the devils promoted during the reign of Solomon | وَاتَّبَعُوْا مَا تَتْلُوْا الشَّيَاطِيْنُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ | |
| Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved | وَمَا كَفَرَسُلَيْمَانُ وَلَاكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا | |
| teaching men magic and what came down to the two Angels at Babylon | يُعَلِّمُوْنَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ | |
| Harut and Marut, they however, did not teach anyone till they said | هَارُوْتَ وَمَارُوْتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُوْلَ | |
| “We are only a test so do not disbelieve” | إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ | |
| and from these two they learn to cause separation with it, between man and his wife | فَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُوْنَ بِهِ بَيْنَ المَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ | |
| but they do not harm anyone with it except by the permission of Allah (SWT) | وَمَا هُمْ بِضَآرِّيْنَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ | |
| and they learn what harms them, not what benefits them | وَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ | |
| and surely, they knew that the purchasers of it would have no share in the hereafter | وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوْا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الأَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ | |
| 2-102 | and wretched is that, for which they sold themselves, if only they knew | وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| And when Ebrahim (AS) said, “My Lord! make this city safe | وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيْمُ رَبِّ اجْعَلْ هَذَا بَلَدًا ءَامِنًا | |
| and provide its people with fruit | وَارْزُقْ أَهْلَهُ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ | |
| those who believe among them in Allah (SWT) and the last day” | مَنْ ءَامَنَ مِنْهُمْ بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ | |
| He said “And who disbelieves, I will grant him enjoyment for a while | قَالَ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَأُمَتِّعُهُ قَلِيْلًا | |
| 2-126 | then I shall compel him to the torment of the Fire and worst is that destination” | ثُمَّ أَضْطَرُّهُ إِلَى عَذَابِ النَّارِ وَبِئْسَ المَصِيْرُ |
| These messengers! We preferred some of them over others | تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ | |
| among them who Allah (SWT) spoke and He raised some of them in degrees | مِّنْهُم مَّنْ كَلَّمَ اللهُ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَهُمْ دَرَجَاتٍ | |
| and We gave Isa (AS) son of Mariam (RA) the clear proofs | وَءَاتَيْنَا عِيْسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ البَيِّنَاتِ | |
| and We supported him with the holy spirit | وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوْحِ القُدُسِ | |
| and had Allah (SWT) willed, not fought each other those who | وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ مَا اقْتَتَلَ الَّذِيْنَ | |
| from after them from after what clear proofs came to them | مِن بَعْدِهِم مِّنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ البَيِّنَاتُ | |
| but they differed so, from among them who believed | وَلَاكِنِ اخْتَلَفُوا فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ ءَامَنَ | |
| and from among them who disbelieved and had Allah (SWT) willed | وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ كَفَرَ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ | |
| 2-253 | not they fought each other, but Allah (SWT) does what He wants | مَا اقْتَتَلُوا وَلَاكِنَّ اللهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيْدُ |
| Did not you see to those who argued with Ebrahim (AS) concerning his Lord | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِي حَآجَّ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ فِى رَبِّهِ | |
| that Allah (SWT) gave him the kingdom? when Ebrahim (AS) said | أَنْ ءَاتَيْنَاهُ اللهُ المُلْكَ إِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيْمُ | |
| “My Lord is He who grants life and causes death” | رَبِّيَ الَّذِى يُحْيِى وَيُمِيْتُ | |
| he said, “I give life and I cause death” | قَالَ أَنَاْ أُحْيِى وَأُمِيْتُ | |
| Ebrahim (AS) said, “then indeed, Allah (SWT) brings up the sun from the east | قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيْمُ فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَأْتِى بِالشَّمْسِ مِنَ المَشْرِقِ | |
| so, you bring it from the west” | فَأْتِ بِهَا مِنَ المَغْرِبِ | |
| so, the one who disbelieved became dumbfounded | فَبُهِتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ | |
| 2-258 | and Allah (SWT) guides not the wrong-doing people | وَاللهُ لَا يَهْدِى القَوْمَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| In it are clear signs, standing place of Ebrahim (AS) | فِيْهِ ءَايَتٌ بَيِّنَتٌ مَّقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ | |
| and whoever enters it is safe (secure-attains security) | وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ ءَامِنًا | |
| and due to Allah (SWT) upon mankind is pilgrimage of the house | وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ البَيْتِ | |
| for who is able to find a way to it | مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيْلًا | |
| 3-97 | and whoever disbelieved then certainly, Allah (SWT) is rich from the worlds | وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ العَلَمِيْنَ |
