كَفَرُوْا
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – كَفَرُوْا is a verb
A verb will either be: 1) past tense or 2) present or future tense or 3) a command or request verb, also called an imperative – زُلْزِلَتْ is a past tense verb
They disbelieved, denied, committed breach of faith, rejected the faith, disobeyed, became ungrateful, showed ingratitude
To cover, deny, hide, renounce, reject, disbelieve (opposite of belief), be ungrateful, negligent, expiate, darken

| Truly those who disbelieve it is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِم أَأَنْذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ | |
| 2-6 | they will not believe | لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| Verily Allah SWT is not averse to set forth a parable of a gnat or what is above it | إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي أَنْ يَضْرِبَ مَثَلًا مَّا بَعُوْضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا | |
| and as for those who believe they know that it is the Truth from their Lord | فَأَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوْا فَيَعْلَمُوْنَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَّبِّهِمْ | |
| and as for those who disbelieve they say, “What did Allah (SWT) intend by this parable?” | وَأَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا فَيَقُوْلُوْنَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِهَذَا مَثَلًا | |
| 2-26 | By it He misleads many and by it He guides many and He does not mislead by it but the rebellious | يُضِلُّ بِهِ كَثِيْرًا وَيَهْدِي بِهِ كَثِيْرًا وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِ إِلَّا الْفَاسِقِيْنَ |
| However, those who disbelieve and belie Our Signs | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَكَذَّبُوْا بِئَايَاتِنَآ | |
| 2-39 | Those are the companions of the fire They shall abide therein forever | أُوْلَآئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيْهَا خَالِدُوْنَ |
| And when a Book came to them from Allah (SWT) confirming what is with them | وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ كِتَابٌ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ مُصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ | |
| and before they used to pray for victory over those who disbelieve | وَكَانُوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ يَسْتَفْتِحُوْنَ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا | |
| so, when came to them what they recognized, they disbelieved in it | فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ مَّا عَرَفُوْا كَفَرُوْا بِهِ | |
| 2-89 | so, the Curse of Allah (SWT) be on the disbelievers | فَلَعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الكَافِرِيْنَ |
| They followed the magic promoted by the devils during the reign of Solomon | وَاتَّبَعُوْا مَا تَتْلُوْا الشَّيَاطِيْنُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ | |
| Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved | وَمَا كَفَرَسُلَيْمَانُ وَلَاكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا | |
| teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two Angels | يُعَلِّمُوْنَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ | |
| Harut and Marut, they however, did not teach anyone till they said | هَارُوْتَ وَمَارُوْتَ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُوْلَ | |
| “We are only a test so do not disbelieve” | إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ | |
| and from these two they learn to cause separation with it, between man and his wife | فَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُوْنَ بِهِ بَيْنَ المَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ | |
| but they do not harm anyone with it except by the permission of Allah (SWT) | وَمَا هُمْ بِضَآرِّيْنَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ | |
| and they learn what harms them, not what benefits them | وَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ | |
| and surely, they knew that the purchasers of it would have no share in the Hereafter | وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوْا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الأَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ | |
| 2-102 | and wretched is that, for which they sold themselves, if only they knew | وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| Neither those who disbelieve from the people of the book, nor the polytheists wish | مَّا يَوَدُّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ وَلَا المُشْرِكِيْنَ | |
| that any good be sent down to you from your Lord | أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ | |
| but Allah (SWT) chooses for His Mercy who He wills | وَاللهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَآءُ | |
| 2-105 | and Allah (SWT) is the Possessor of Great Bounty | وَاللهُ ذُوْ الفَضْلِ العَظِيْمِ |
| Truly who disbelieve and they die while they are disbelievers | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَمَاتُوْا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ | |
| 2-161 | Upon them is the curse of Allah (SWT) and the angels and the people all together | أُوْلَآئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ اللهِ وَالمَلَآئِكَةِ وَالنَّسِ أَجْمَعِيْنَ |
| The example of those who disbelieve is like the one who shouts to what does not hear | وَمَثَلُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي يَنْعِقُ بِمَا لَا يَسْمَعُ | |
| 2-171 | except calls and cries, deaf, dumb, blind so they do not understand | إِلَّا دُعَآءً وَنِدَآءً صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُوْنَ |
| Beautified to those who disbelieve is the life of this world | زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا الحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا | |
| and they ridicule those who believe | وَيَسْخَرُوْنَ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا | |
| Those who are mindful of Allah (SWT) will be above them on the day of Resurrection | وَالَّذِيْنَ اتَّقُوا فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ | |
| 2-212 | and Allah (SWT) provides to whom He wills without measure | وَاللهُ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشّآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ |
| Allah (SWT) is the protector of those who believe, He brings them out of the darkness to the light | اللهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّوْرِ | |
| as for those who disbelieve, their protectors are the false deities, they bring them out from the light | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَآؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوْتُ يُخْرِجُوْنَهُمْ مِنَ النُّوْرِ | |
| 2-257 | to the darkness, those are the companions of the fire, they will abide in it forever | إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ أُوْلَآئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيْهَا خَالِدُوْنَ |
| from before, a guidance for the people and He sent down the criterion | مِنْ قَبْلُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَأَنْزَلَ الفُرْقَانَ | |
| truly those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah (SWT), for them is a severe punishment | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيْدٌ | |
| 3-4 | and Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Capable of retribution | وَاللهُ عَزِيْزٌ ذُو انْتِقَامٍ |
| Indeed, those who disbelieve, not will help (enrich avail) them their wealth | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ | |
| 3-10 | and not their offspring against Allah (SWT) in anything and those, they will be the fuel of the fire | وَلَا أَوْلَادُهُم مِّنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا وَأُوْلَآئِكَ هُمْ وَقُوْدُ النَّارِ |
| 3-12 | say to those who disbelieve, “you will be defeated, and you will be gathered to Hell, an evil resting place” | قُل لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا سَتُغْلَبُوْنَ وَتُحْشَرُوْنَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وَبِئْسَ المِهَادُ |
| when Allah (SWT) said, “O Isa (AS) truly I will take you and raise you to Me | إِذْ قَالَ اللهُ يَا عِيْسَى إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيْكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ | |
| and purify you from those who disbelieve | وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve | وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| till the day of resurrection then to Me you will return | إِلَى يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ | |
| 3-55 | then I will judge between you in what you used to differ in it” | فَأَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فِيْمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيْهِ تَخْتَلِفُوْنَ |
| As for those who disbelieve, I will punish them with a severe punishment | فَأَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيْدًا | |
| 3-56 | in this world and in the hereafter and not for them any helpers | فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ نَّاصِرِيْنَ |
| How can Allah (SWT) guide a people who disbelieved after their belief? | كَيْفَ يَهْدِي اللهُ قَوْمًا كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيْمَانِهِمْ | |
| and they witnessed that the messenger is true and clear proofs came to them? | وَشَهِدُوا أَنَّ الرَّسُوْلَ حَقٌّ وَجَآءَهُمُ البَيِّنَاتُ | |
| 3-86 | and Allah (SWT) does not guide the wrongdoing people | وَاللهُ لَا يَهْدِي القَوْمَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| truly those who disbelieved after their belief then they increased in disbelieve | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا بَعْدَ إِيْمَانِهِمْ ثُمَّ ازْدَادُوا كُفْرًا | |
| 3-90 | not will their repentance be accepted and those, they are those who have gone astray | لَّنْ تُقْبَلَ تَوْبَتُهُمْ وَأُوْلَآئِكَ هُمُ الضَّآلُّوْنَ |
| truly those who disbelieved and died while they were disbelievers | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ | |
| then not will be accepted from anyone of them earth full of gold even if he offered it as a ransom | فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهَمْ مِّلْءُ الأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا وَلَوِ افْتَدَى بِهِ | |
| 3-91 | those, for them is a painful punishment and not for them any helpers | أُوْلَآئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيْمٌ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِّنْ نَّاصِرِيْنَ |
| Truly those who disbelieve not will avail them their properties nor their children anything from Allah (SWT) | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا لَنْ تُغْنِيَ عَنْهُمْ أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَادُهُمْ مِّنَ اللهِ | |
| 3-116 | and those are the companions of the fire, they will abide in it forever | شَيْئًا وَأُوْلَآئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيْهَا خَالِدُوْنَ |
| 3-127 | that He cut off part from those who disbelieve or suppress them, so they turn back disappointed | لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفًا مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنْقَلِبُوا خَآئِبِيْنَ |
| O you who believe! if you obey those who disbelieve | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِنْ تُطِيْعُوا الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| 3-149 | they will turn you back on your heels then you will turn back as losers | يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ فَتَنْقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِيْنَ |
| We will cast terror in the hearts of those who disbelieve | سَنُلْقِي فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا الرُّعْبَ | |
| because they associated partners with Allah (SWT) whereof He sent not down any authority about it | بِمَآ أَشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا | |
| 3-151 | and their abode will be the fire and wretched is the abode of the wrongdoers | وَمَأْوَاهُمُ النَّارُ وَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| O you who believe! Be not like those who disbelieve | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لَا تَكُوْنُوا كَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| and they said about their brothers when they set forth in the earth | وَقَالُوا لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ إِذَا ضَرَبُوا فِي الأَرْضِ | |
| or they were fighting, “If they had been with us, not they died and not they been killed” | أَوْ كَانُوا غُزًّى لَوْ كَانُوا عِنْدَنَا مَا مَاتُوا وَمَا قُتِلُوا | |
| so, Allah (SWT) makes that a regret in their hearts | لِيَجْعَلَ اللهُ ذَلِكَ حَسْرَةً فِي قُلُوْبِهِمْ | |
| 3-156 | and Allah (SWT) gives life and causes death and Allah (SWT) is All-Seeing of what you do | وَاللهُ يُحْيِ وَيُمِيْتُ وَاللهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرٌ |
| and let not those who disbelieved think that what respite We give to them is good for themselves | وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ | |
| 3-178 | only We give respite to them, so they increase in sins and for them is a humiliating punishment | إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُ لِيَزْدَادُوآ إِثْمًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِيْنٌ |
| 3-196 | Let not the going to and from in the land of those who disbelieve deceive you | لَا يَغُرَّنَّكَ تَقَلُّبُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا فِي البِلَادِ |
| that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger will wish | يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُوْلَ | |
| 4-42 | if the earth was levelled with them and not they will conceal from Allah (SWT) any statement | لَوْ تًسَوَّى بِهِمُ الأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُوْنَ اللهَ حَدِيْثًا |
| Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the book? | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا نَصِيْبًا مِّنَ الكِتَابِ | |
| They believe in the superstition and the false deities, and they say of those who disbelieve | يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالجِبْتِ وَالطَّاغُوْتِ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| 4-51 | “These are better guided than those who believe in the way” | آؤُلآءِ أَهْدَى مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا سَبِيْلً |
| and those who believe and do good deeds We will admit them into gardens | وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ | |
| flowing from underneath them rivers, they will live in it forever | تَجْرِي مِنْ تحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَآ أَبَدًا | |
| 4-56 | for them in it, pure spouses and We will admit them to shade, shading | لَهُمْ فِيْهَآ أَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّا ظَلِيْلً |
| Those who believe, they fight in the way of Allah (SWT) | الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ | |
| and those who disbelieve, they fight in the way of the false deities | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِ الطَّاغُوْتِ | |
| 4-76 | so, fight the friends of Satan indeed, the plot of Satan is weak | فَقَاتِلُوا أَوْلِيَآءَ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيْفًا |

| and not We made the companions of the fire, except angels | وَمَا جَعَلْنَآ أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَآئِكَةً | |
| and not We made their number, except a trial for those who disbelieve | وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| so that those who were given the book may be convinced | لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا الكِتَابَ | |
| and those who believe may increase in faith | وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِيْمَانًا | |
| and those who were given the book and the believers do not doubt | وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا الكِتَابَ وَالمُؤْمِنُوْنَ | |
| and those in whose hearts is a disease and the disbelievers may say: | وَلِيَقُوْلَ الَّذِيْنَ فِيْ قُلُوْبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالكَافِرُوْنَ | |
| “What does Allah (SWT) intend by this example?” | مَاذَآ أَرَادَ اللهُ بِهَذَا مَثَلًا | |
| thus Allah (SWT) leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills | كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللهُ مَنْ يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَآءُ | |
| and he knows not the hosts of your Lord but He | وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُوْدَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ | |
| 74-31 | and this is not except a reminder to mankind | وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَى لِلْبَشَرِ |
| 84-22 | yes indeed, those who disbelieved are deniers (of the truth) | بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا يُكَذِّبُوْنَ |
| 85-19 | Nay, those who disbelieve are in denial | بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيْبٍ |
| 90-19 | but those who disbelieved in our signs they are the companions of the left hand | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِئَايَاتِنَا هُمْ أَصْحَابُ المَشْئَمَةِ |
| Not were those who disbelieved from the people of the book | لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ | |
| 98-1 | and the polytheists to be abandoned until the clear evidence comes to them | وَالْمُشْرِكِيْنَ مُنْفَكِّيْنَ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْبَيِّنَةُ |
| Truly those who disbelieve from the people of the book and the polytheists will be in the fire of hell | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِيْنَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ | |
| 98-6 | abiding therein forever, those are the worst of creatures | خَالِدِيْنَ فِيهَآ أُوْلَآئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ البَرِيَّةِ |
