| “Take that which We have given you with conviction and remember/mention that which is therein | خُذُوْا مَآ ءَاتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُوْا مَا فِيْهِ | |

| “Take what We have given you with firmness and listen” | خُذُوْا مَآ ءَاتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَاسْمَعُوْا | |
| They said “We heard, and we disobeyed” | قَالُوْا سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا | |
| and their hearts inclined to the calf due to their disbelieve | وَأُشْرِبُوْا فِي قُلُوْبِهِمُ العِجْلَ بِكُفْرِهِمْ | |
| 2-93 | Say “Evil is that which your faith enjoins upon you if you should actually be believers | قُلْ بِئْسَمَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِهِ إِيْمَانُكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ |
| And when Ebrahim (AS) was raising the foundations of the House with Ishmael (AS) | وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيْمُ القَوَاعِدَ مِنَ البَيْتِ وَإِسْمَاعِيْلُ | |
| 2-127 | “Our Lord accept from us, Truly You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower” | رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيْعُ العَلِيْمُ |
| These messengers! We preferred some of them over others | تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ | |
| among them who Allah (SWT) spoke and He raised some of them in degrees | مِّنْهُم مَّنْ كَلَّمَ اللهُ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَهُمْ دَرَجَاتٍ | |
| and We gave Isa (AS) son of Mariam (RA) the clear proofs | وَءَاتَيْنَا عِيْسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ البَيِّنَاتِ | |
| and We supported him with the holy spirit and had Allah (SWT) willed, | وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوْحِ القُدُسِ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ | |
| not fought each other those who from after them | مَا اقْتَتَلَ الَّذِيْنَ مِن بَعْدِهِم | |
| from after what clear proofs came to them, but they differed | مِّنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ البَيِّنَاتُ وَلَاكِنِ اخْتَلَفُوا | |
| so, from among them who believed and from among them who disbelieved and had Allah (SWT) willed | فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ ءَامَنَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ كَفَرَ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ | |
| 2-253 | not they fought each other, but Allah (SWT) does what He wants | مَا اقْتَتَلُوا وَلَاكِنَّ اللهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيْدُ |
| when Allah (SWT) said, “O Isa (AS) truly I will take you and raise you to Me | إِذْ قَالَ اللهُ يَا عِيْسَى إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيْكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ | |
| and purify you from those who disbelieve | وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve | وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| till the day of resurrection then to Me you will return | إِلَى يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ | |
| 3-55 | then I will judge between you in what you used to differ in it” | فَأَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فِيْمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيْهِ تَخْتَلِفُوْنَ |
| and We raised above (over) them the mount for their covenant | وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ الطُّوْرَ بِمِيْثَاقِهِمْ | |
| and We said to them, “Enter the door (in humility) prostrating” | وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ادْخُلُوا البَابَ سُجَّدًا | |
| and We said to them, “Do not transgress in the sabbath (Saturday)” | وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا فِيْ السَّبْتِ | |
| 4-154 | and We took from them an earnest covenant | وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُمْ مِّيْثَاقًا غَلِيْظًا |
| 4-158 | Nay, Allah (SWT) raised him to Him and Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Wise | بَل رَّفَعَهُ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَزِيْزًا حَكِيْمًا |
| and these are our arguments, We gave it to Ebrahim (AS) against his people | وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيْنَاهَآ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ | |
| 6-83 | We raise in degrees, whom We will, Truly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing | نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَّن نَّشَآءُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ |
| and He is who made you successors in the earth | وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَآئِفَ الأَرْضِ | |
| and raised some of you above others in rank | وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ | |
| to test you in what He gave you | لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَآ ءَاتَاكُمْ | |
| 6-165 | truly your Lord is swift in punishment and truly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيْعُ العِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
| and if We wished We certainly could have raised him with these, but he adhered to the earth | وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَرَفَعْنَاهُ بِهَا وَلَاكِنَّهُ أَخْلَدَ إِلَى الأَرْضِ | |
| and he followed his desires so, his example is like the example of the dog | وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ فَمَثَلُهُ كَمَثَلِ الكَلْبِ | |
| if you burden it, he lolls out his tongue or if you leave it, he lolls out his tongue | إِنْ تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْهِ يَلْهَثْ أَوْ تَتْرُكْهُ يَلْهَثْ | |
| that is the example of the people who denied Our signs | ذّلِكَ مَثَلُ القَوْمِ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوا بِئَايَاتِنَا | |
