The root  ش ي أ  occurs in the holy Quran approximately 519 times
فِعْلٌ مَاضٍ2-20The lightning almost snatches away their sight, whenever it flashes for them they walk therein however when darkness covers themيَكَادُ البَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَارَهُمْ كُلَّمَا أَضَاءَ لَهُمْ مَشَوْا فِيْهِ وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ
اِسْمُ الجِنْسِthey stand still. And if Allah willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Certainly Allah has power over all thingsقَامُوْا وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ إِنَّ اللهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ
2-29He it is Who created for you all that is on earth, then He established the heaven and proportioned themهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَّا فِي الأَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ
اِسْمُ الجِنْسِinto seven heavens, He is All Knowing over everything سَبْعَ سَمَوَاتٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ
فِعْلٌ مَاضٍ2-35And We said “O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure of things thereinوَقُلْنَا يَا ءَادَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ
as you will but come not near this tree or you both will be of the wrong-doersشِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَاذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُوْنَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ
