إِذْنِ

A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – إِذْنِ is a noun

A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive

الإِذْنُ is the natural state of this definite noun and becomes الإِذْنِ due to: 1) a preposition that precedes it or 2) a possessed noun that precedes it or 3) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym

الإِذْنِ loses it’s definite article, becoming إِذْنِ due to it being a possessed noun

Surah/Below are the 35 verses in the holy Quran, containing the 39 occurrences of the possessed nounإِذْنِ
Verse
Say “Whoever is an enemy to Jibrael (AS) surely, he has brought it down to your heartقُلْ مَنْ كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّجِبْرِيْلَ فَإِنَّهُ نَزَّلَهُ عَلَى قَلْبِكَ
2-97by the permission of Allah (SWT) confirming what came before it and as guidance and glad tidings for the believersبِإِذْنِ اللهِ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَى لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
they followed what the devils promoted during the reign of Solomonوَاتَّبَعُوْا مَا تَتْلُوْا الشَّيَاطِيْنُ عَلَى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمَانَ
Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved teaching men magicوَمَا كَفَرَسُلَيْمَانُ وَلَاكِنَّ الشَّيَاطِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا يُعَلِّمُوْنَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَ
and what came down to the two Angels at Babylon Harut and Marutوَمَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوْتَ وَمَارُوْتَ
they however, did not teach anyone till they said, “we are only a test so do not disbelieve”وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُوْلَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ
and from these two they learn to cause separation with it, between man and his wifeفَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُوْنَ بِهِ بَيْنَ المَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ
but they do not harm anyone with it except by the permission of Allah (SWT)وَمَا هُمْ بِضَآرِّيْنَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ
and they learn what harms them, not what benefits themوَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ
and surely, they knew that the purchasers of it would have no share in the hereafterوَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوْا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الأَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ
2-102and wretched is that, for which they sold themselves, if only they knewوَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوْا يَعْلَمُوْنَ
Mankind was one community and Allah (SWT) raised up prophets bearing glad tidings and as warner’sكَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللهُ النَّبِيِّينَ مُبَشِّرِيْنَ وَمُنْذِرِيْنَ
and He sent down with them the Book in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differedوَأَنْزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الكِتَابَ بِالحَقِّ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فِيمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ
and no one differed in it except those who were given it after clear signs came to themوَمَا اخْتَلَفَ فِيهِ إِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ أُوتُوهُ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ البَيِّنَاتُ
out of jealousy among themselves and Allah (SWT) guided those who believed from what they differed in itبَغْيًا بَيْنَهُمْ فَهَدَى اللهُ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ
2-213to the truth by His Permission and Allah (SWT) guides whom He wishes to the straight pathمِنَ الحَقِّ بِإِذْنِهِ وَاللهُ يَهْدِى مَنْ يشَآءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ
and do not marry polytheist women until they believe and a believing slave girl (maid)وَلَا تَنْكِحُوا المُشْرِكَاتِ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَّ وَلَأَمَةٌ مَّؤْمِنَةٌ
is better than a polytheist woman even if she impresses you and do not give in marriage to polytheist menخَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكَةٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ وَلَا تُنْكِحُوا المُشْرِكِيْنَ
until they believe, and a believing slave is better than a polytheist man even if he impresses youحَتَّى يُؤْمِنُوا وَلَعَبْدٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ خَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكُمْ
those, they invite to the fire and Allah (SWT) invites to Paradise and forgiveness by His permissionأُوْلَآئِكَ يَدْعُوْنَ إِلَى النَّارِ وَاللهُ يَدْعُوا إِلَى الجَنَّةِ وَالمَغْفِرَةِ بِإِذْنِهِ
2-221and He makes clear his verses for the people so that you may remember (take heed)وَيُبَيِّنُ ءَايَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ
then when Talut set out with the forces he said, “indeed, Allah (SWT) will test you with a riverفَلَمَّا فَصَلَ طَالُوْتُ بِالجُنُوْدِ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ مُبْتَلِيْكُمْ بِنَهَرٍ
so, whoever drinks from it then he is not from me and whoever does not feed on it then indeed, he is from meفَمَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَمَن لَّمْ يَطْعَمْهُ فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّي
except who scoups a scoup by his hand” then they drank from it except a few among themإِلَّا مَنِ اغْتَرَفَ غُرْفَةً بِيَدِهِ فَشَرِبُوا مِنْهُ إِلَّا قَلِيْلًا مِّنْهُمْ
then when he crossed it he and those who believed with him they said, “no strength for us todayفَلَمَّا جَاوَزَهُ هُوَ وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا مَعَهُ قَالُوا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا اليَوْمَ
against Talut and his troops” those who thought that they would meet Allah (SWT) said,”how many fromبِجَالُوْتَ وَجُنُوْدِهِ قَالَ الَّذِيْنَ يَظُنُّوْنَ أَنَّهُم مُّلَاقُوا اللهِ كَم مِّنْ
2-249a small party overcame a huge party by the permission of Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is with the patient ones”فِئَةٍ قَلِيْلَةٍ غَلَبَتْ فِئَةً كَثِيْرَةً بِإِذْنِ اللهِ وَاللهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِيْنَ
So, they defeated them by the permission of Allah (SWT) and Dawood (AS) killed Jalutفَهَزَمُوْهُمْ بِإِذْنِ اللهِ وَقَتَلَ دَاوُوْدُ جَالُوْتَ
and Allah (SWT) gave him the kingdom and the wisdom, and He taught him from what He willedوَءَاتَاهُ اللهُ المُلْكَ وَالحِكْمَةَ وَعَلَّمَهُ مِمَّا يَشَآءُ
and had Allah (SWT) not checked the people, some of them by others certainly, the earth would have been ruinedوَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَفَسَدَتِ الأَرْضُ
2-251but Allah (SWT) is the possessor of bounty to the worldsوَلَاكِنَّ اللهَ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى العَالَمِيْنَ
Allah (SWT) no God except He, the Living, the Sustainer, not He takes slumber and not sleepاللهُ لَآ إِلَاهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الحَيُّ القَيُّوْمُ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ
belongs to Him whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, who possesses what he can intercedeلَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ
with Him except by His permission? He knows what is between their hands and what is behind themعِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ
and not they encompass of anything of His knowledge except of what He willsوَلَا يُحِيْطُوْنَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ
His throne extends to the heavens and the earthوَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ
2-255and not tires Him the protecting of both and He is Most-High, All-Mighty (Great)وَلَا يَئُوْدُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ العَلِيُّ العَظِيْمُ
and a messenger to the children of Israel “Indeed, I surely come to you with a sign from your Lordوَرَسُوْلًا إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَاءِيْلَ أَنِّي قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِئَايَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ
that I create for you from clay like the form of a bird then I breathe into it, and it becomes a birdأَنِّي أَخْلُقُ لَكُمْ مِنَ الطِّيْنِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ فَأَنْفُخُ فِيْهِ فَيَكُوْنُ طَيْرًا
by the permission of Allah (SWT) and I cure the blind and the leper and I give life to the deadبِإِذْنِ اللهِ وَأُبْرِئُ الأَكْمَهَ وَالأَبْرَصَ وَأُحْيِ المَوْتَى
by the permission of Allah (SWT) and I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your housesبِإِذْنِ اللهِ وَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا تَأْكُلُوْنَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُوْنَ فِي بُيُوْتِكُمْ
3-49truly in these are signs for you if you be believersإِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَئَايَةً لَّكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِيْنَ
and not is for a soul that it dies except by the permission of Allah (SWT), a decree determinedوَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَمُوتَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ كِتَابًا مُّؤَجَّلًا
and whoever wants a reward of the world, We will give him from itوَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا
3-145and whoever wants a reward of the hereafter, We will give him from it and We will reward the grateful onesوَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الآخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَسَنَجْزِي الشَّاكِرِيْنَ
and certainly Allah (SWT) fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing them by His permissionوَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللهُ وَعْدَهُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُمْ بِإِذْنِهِ
until when you lost courage and fell to dispute about the order and you disobeyedحَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُمْ
from after what He showed you what you love among you are who want the worldمِّنْ بَعْدِ مَآ أَرَاكُمْ مّا تُحِبُّوْنَ مِنْكُمْ مَّنْ يُرِيْدُ الدُّنْيَا
and among you are who want the hereafter then He diverted you from them so that He may test youوَمِنْكُمْ مَّنْ يُرِيْدُ الآخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ
3-152and surely, He forgave you and Allah (SWT) is the possessor of bounty for the believersوَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنْكُمْ وَاللهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى المُؤْمِنِيْنَ
and what struck you the day the two metوَمَآ أَصَابَكُمْ يَوْمَ التَقَى الجَمْعَانِ
3-166was by the permission of Allah (SWT) to make evident the believersفَبِإِذْنِ اللهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ
and who among you is not able to afford to marry the chaste, believing womenوَمَنْ لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنْكُمْ طَوْلًا أَنْ يَنْكِحَ المُحْصَنَاتِ المُؤْمِنَاتِ
then from what your right hand possesses from your believing slave girlsفَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ مِّنْ فَتَيَاتِكُمُ المُؤْمِنَاتِ
and Allah (SWT) knows best about your faith some of you from others then marry themوَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيْمَانِكُمْ بَعْضُكُمْ مِّنْ بَعْضٍ فَانْكِحُوهُنَّ
with the permission of their family and give them their bridal due in a fair mannerبِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّ وَءَاتُوْهُنَّ أُجُوْرَهُنَّ بِالمَعْرُوْفِ
chaste, not one who is immoral and not one who takes secret loversمُحْصَنَاتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحَاتٍ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَاتِ أَخْدَانٍ
then when they are married, and they commit immorality then for them halfفَإِذَآ أُحْصِنَّ فَإِنْ أَتَيْنَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ فَعَلَيْهِنَّ نِصْفُ
what is on the chaste women of the punishment that is for who fears to be distressed (suffer) among youمَا عَلَى المُحْصَنَاتِ مِنَ العَذَابِ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ العَنَتَ مِنْكُمْ
4-25and that you be patient is better for you and Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Mercifulوَأَنْ تَصْبِرُوا خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَاللهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ
and not did We send a messenger except to be obeyed by the permission of Allah (SWT) and if that whenوَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُوْلٍ إِلَّا لِيُطَاعَ بِإِذْنِ اللهِ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذْ
they wronged themselves, they came to you and sought forgiveness from Allah (SWT) and sought forgivenessظَّلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ جَآءُوْكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا اللهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ
4-64for them, the messenger, indeed they would have found Allah (SWT) Oft-Returning, Most-Mercifulلَهُمُ الرَّسُوْلُ لَوَجَدُوا اللهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيْمًا
Allah (SWT) guides by it who seek (follow) His Pleasure to the ways of peaceيَهْدِي بِهِ اللهُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَهُ سُبُلَ السَّلَامِ
and removes them from darkness into the light by His permissionوَيُخْرِجُهُمْ مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّوْرِ بِإِذْنِهِ
5-16and He guides them to a straight pathوَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ
When Allah (SWT) will say; “O Isa, son of Maryam, remember My Favor upon youإِذْ قًالَ اللهُ يَا عِيْسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ اذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكَ
and upon your mother when I strengthened you with the holy spirit so that you spoke to the peopleوَعَلَى وَالِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدْتُكَ بِرُوْحِ القُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ
in infancy and maturity and when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Taurah and the Injeelفِي المَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ الكِتَابَ وَالحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنْجِيْلَ
and when you molded from clay like the shape of a bird by My permission then you breathed into itوَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ الطِّيْنِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِي فَتَنْفُخُ فِيْهَا
and it became a bird by My permission and you healed the ones born blind and the leper by My permissionفَتَكُونُ طَيْرًا بِإِذْنِي وَتُبْرِئُ الأَكْمَهَ وَالأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِي
and when you brought forth the dead by My permission and when I restrained the Children of Israel from youوَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ المَوْتَى بِإِذْنِي وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِي إِسْرَآئِيْلَ عَنْكَ
when you came to them with clear signs so those who disbelieved among them saidإِذْ جِئْتَهُمْ بِالبَيِّنَاتِ فَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ
5-110“This is not but clear magic”إِنْ هَذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ
and the good land, its vegetation comes forth by the permission of its Lord and which is bad, not it comesوَالبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُهُ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ وَالَّذِي خَبُثَ لَا يَخْرُجُ
7-58forth, except with difficulty thus We explain the signs for a people who are gratefulإِلَّا نَكِدًا كَذَلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَشْكُرُوْنَ
now Allah (SWT) lightened for you, and He knows that among you there is weaknessالْئَانَ خَفَّفَ اللهُ عَنْكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيْكُمْ ضَعْفًا
so, if there be a hundred steadfast among you, they will overcome two hundredفَإِنْ يَكُن مِّنْكُم مِّاْئَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا مِاْئَتَيْنِ
and if there be a thousand among you, they will overcome two thousand by the permission of Allah (SWT)وَإِن يَكُن مِّنْكُمْ أَلْفٌ يَغْلِبُوا أَلْفَيْنِ بِإِذْنِ اللهِ
8-66and Allah (SWT) is with the patient (steadfast)وَاللهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِيْنَ
Surely, your Lord is Allah (SWT) the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days (periods)إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ
then He established on the throne disposing the affairs, not from any intercessorثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى العَرْشِ يُدَبِّرُ الأَمْرَ مَا مِنْ شَفِيْعٍ
10-3except after His permission, that is Allah (SWT) your Lord so worship Him, then will you not remember?إِلَّا مِن بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِ ذَلِكُمُ اللهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوْهُ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ
and not is for a soul to believe except by the permission of Allah (SWT)وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تُؤْمِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ
10-100and He will place the wrath on those who do not use reasonوَيَجْعَلُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَعْقِلُوْنَ
11-105on the day when it comes, no person shall speak except by His leave and among them wretched and blessedيَومَ يَأْتِ لَا تَكَلَّمُ نَفسٌ إِلَّا بِإِذنِهِ فَمِنهُم شَقِيٌّ وَسَعِيدٌ

A Book We have revealed it to you, for you to bring out mankind from the darkness to the lightكِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّوْرِ
14-1by the permission of their Lord, to the path of the All-Mighty, the All-Praiseworthyبِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَى صِرَاطِ العَزِيْزِ الحَمِيْدِ
