سَلَامٌ
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – سَلَامٌ is a noun
A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive
سَلَامٌ is the natural state of this indefinite noun and it is in this state ( مَرْفُوْعٌ) when the noun is: 1) the subject المُبْتَدَأُ or 2) the predicate الخَبَرُ or 3) اسْمُ كَانَ or 4) خَبَرُ إِنَّ or 5) الفَاعِلُ subject of a verb in the active voice or 6) نَائِبُ الفَاعِلِ subject of a verb in the passive voice or 7) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym

To be in sound condition, well, without a blemish, safe and sound

and when come to you those who believe in our signs then say, “peace be upon you” | وَإِذَا جَآءَكَ الَّذِيْنَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِئَايَاتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ | |
your Lord has prescribed mercy upon himself that he who does evil in ignorance among you | كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنْكُمْ سُوءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ | |
6-54 | then he repents after that and acts righteously then indeed He is Most-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
and between them a barrier and on the elevations, men, they recognize all by their marks | وَبَيْنَهُمَا حِجَابٌ وَعَلَى الأَعْرَافِ رِجَالٌ يَعْرِفُوْنَ كُلًّا بِسِيْمَاهُمْ | |
and they call the companions of the garden that “peace be upon you” | وَنَادُوا أَصْحَابَ الجَنَّةِ أَنْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ | |
7-46 | not yet they have entered it, but they are desirous (hopeful) | لَمْ يَدْخُلُوْهَا وَهُمْ يَطْمَعُوْنَ |
Their prayer therein (will be) “glory be to You, O Allah (SWT)” and their greeting therein “peace” | دَعْوَاهُمْ فِيْهَا سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيْهَا سَلَامٌ | |
10-10 | and the last of their call will be that “All the praises and thanks belong to Allah (SWT) Lord of the worlds” | وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَاهُمْ أَنِ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ |
and verily Our Messengers came to Ebrahim (AS) with glad tidings, they said, “Greetings of peace” | وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ بِالبُشْرَى قَالُوا سَلَامًا | |
11-69 | he said, “greetings of peace” and he hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf | قَالَ سَلَامٌ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَنْ جَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيْذٍ |
