| and when he saw the moon rising, he said “This is my Lord” but when it set | فَلَمَّا رَءَا القَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ |
| 6-77 | he said “Certainly, if my Lord guides me not, I will surely be among the people who went astray | قَالَ لَئِنْ لَّمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ القَوْمِ الضَّآلِّيْنَ |
| Parter of the daybreak and He made the night for resting and the sun and the moon | فَالِقُ الإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ الَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالقَمَرَ |
| 6-96 | for calculation, that is the ordaining of the All-Mighty, All-Knowing | حُسْبَانًا ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيْرُ العَزِيْزِ العَلِيْمِ |
| Verily, your Lord is Allah (SWT) Who created the heavens and the earth | إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ |
| in seven periods then He established upon the throne | فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الأَرْشِ |
| He covers the night with the day, seeking it incessantly | يُغْشِى الَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطلُبُهُ حَثِيْثًا |
| and the sun and the moon and the stars are subjected to His command | وَالشَّمْسَ وَالقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُوْمَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ |
| 7-54 | unquestionably for Him is the creation and the command, Allah (SWT) is blessed, Lord of creation (the worlds) | أَلَا لَهُ الخَلْقُ وَالأَمْرُ تَبَارَكَ اللهُ رَبُّ العَالَمِيْنَ |
| He is the One who made the sun a shining light and the moon a (reflected) light | هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ ضِيَآءً وَالقَمَرَ نُوْرًا |
| and determined for it, phases that you may know the number of the years and the count (of time) | وَقَدَّرَهُ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا عَدَدَ السِّنِيْنَ وَالحِسَابَ |
| Allah (SWT) created not that except in truth | مَا خَلَقَ اللهُ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا بِالحَقِّ |
| 10-5 | He explains the signs for a people who know | يُفَصِّلُ الئَايَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| when Yusuf (AS) said to his father, “O my father! verily, I saw eleven stars | إِذ قَالَ يُوسُفُ لِأَبِيهِ يَآ أَبَتِ إِنِّى رَأَيتُ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ كَوكَبًا |
| 12-4 | and the sun and the moon, I saw them prostrating to me | وَالشَّمسَ وَالقَمَرَ رَأَيتُهُم لِى سَاجِدِينَ |
| Allah SWT is who raised the heavens without pillars that you can see | اللهُ الَّذِي رَفَعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا |
| then He established (rose above) on the throne | ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ |
| and subjected the sun and the moon, each one runs for a term appointed | وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى |
| He directs the affair, He explains the signs so that in the meeting | يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ الْئَايَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ بِلِقَآءِ |
| 13-2 | with your Lord, you may be certain | رَبِّكُمْ تُوْقِنُوْنَ |

| see you not that indeed, prostrate to Allah (SWT), whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth | أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُ مَنْ فِى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَن فِى الأَرْضِ |
| and the sun and the moon and the stars and the mountains and the trees and the moving creatures | وَالشَّمْسُ وَالقَمَرُ وَالنُّجُوْمُ وَالجِبَالُ وَالشَّجَرُ وَالدَّوَآبُّ |
| and many of the people? however, many are there upon whom, the punishment is justified | وَكَثِيْرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَكَثِيْرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ العَذَابُ |
| and whomever Allah (SWT) humiliates, then not for him is a bestower of honor | وَمَن يُهِنِ اللهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ |
| 22-18 | verily, Allah (SWT) does what He wills | إِنَّ اللهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ |

| He created the heavens and the earth in truth | خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالحَقِّ |
| He wraps the night around the day and He wraps the day around the night | يُكَوِّرُ الَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى الَّيْلِ |
| and He subjects the sun and the moon, all run their course for an appointed time | وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى |
| 39-5 | He is certainly the Mighty, the Forgiving | أَلَا هُوَ العَزِيْزُ الغَفَّارُ |
| and among His signs are the night and the day and the sun and the moon | وَمِنْ ءَايَاتِهِ الَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالقَمَرُ |
| do not prostrate to the sun and not to the moon but prostrate to Allah (SWT) who created them | لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِى خَلَقَهُنَّ |
| 41-37 | if it is Him you worship | إِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُوْنَ |
