| | 89-15 | As for man, when his Lord tries him by honoring him and favoring him, then he says “my Lord has honored me” | فَأَمَّا الإِنْسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِي |
| | 89-16 | but when He tries him by straitening his provision he says “my Lord has humiliated me” | وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُوْلُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ |
| | 89-24 | He will say “Alas would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for my life (hereafter) | يَقُوْلُ يَالَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي |
