and We caused Isa son of Mariam to follow and We gave him the Gospelوَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيْسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَءَاتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنْجِيْلَ
and We placed in the heart of those who followed him compassion and mercyوَجَعَلْنَا فِي قُلُوْبِ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّبَعُوهُ رَافَةً وَرَحْمَةً
and monasticism, which they invented, We did not prescribe it for themوَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ابْتَدَعُوهَا مَا مَا كَتَبْنَاهَا عَلَيْهِمْ
except the seeking of Allah SWT’s pleasure, but they did not observe it with due observanceإِلَّا ابْتِغَآءَ رِضْوَانِ اللهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا
so We gave the ones who believed among them their rewardفَئَاتَيْنَا الَّذِيْنَ آَمَنُوا مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ
57-27but many of them are defiantly disobedientوَكَثِيْرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُوْنَ
