| And surely you will find them the greediest of mankind for life greedier than the polytheists |
| Each one of them loves if he could be granted a life of a thousand years | يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ |
| but it will not remove him from the punishment, the grant of such a life | وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَهْزِحِهِ مِنَ العَذَابِ أَنْ يُعَمَّرَ |
2-96 | and Allah (SWT) is All-Seeing of what they do | وَاللهُ بَصِيْرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| They followed the magic promoted by the devils during the reign of Solomon |
| Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved, they teach men magic |
| and such things that came down at Babylon to the two Angels, Harut and Marut | وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَى المَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوْتَ وَمَارُوْتَ |
| however, they did not teach anyone till they said, “We are only a test so do not disbelieve” | وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يَقُوْلَ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْ |
| and from these people learn to cause separation with it between man and his wife | فَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُوْنَ بِهِ بَيْنَ المَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ |
| but they do not harm anyone with it except by the permission of Allah (SWT) | وَمَا هُمْ بِضَآرِّيْنَ بِهِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللهِ |
| and they learn what harms them, not what benefits them | وَيَتَعَلَّمُوْنَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ |
| and surely, they knew that the purchasers of it would have no share in the Hereafter | وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوْا لَمَنِ اشْتَرَاهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الأَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ |
2-102 | and wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if only they knew |
| Say “We believe in Allah (SWT) and what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Ebrahim (AS) | قُوْلُوْا ءَامَنَّا بِاللهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ |
| and Ismail (AS) and Ishaq (AS) and Yaqub (AS) and the descendants and what was given to Musa (AS) | وَإِسْمَاعِيْلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوْبَ وَالأَسْبَاطِ وَمَآ أُوْتِيَ مُوْسَى |
| and Isa (AS) and what was given to the Prophets from their Lord | وَعِيْسَى وَمَآ أُوْتِيَ النَّبِيُّوْنَ مِن رَبِّهِمْ |
2-136 | We make no distinction between any one of them and to Him we have submitted” |
| It is prescribed for you, when death approaches any one of you, if he leaves wealth |
2-180 | that he makes a bequest to parents and next of kin in a reasonable manner, a duty upon the righteous |
| Would any one of you wish to be for him a garden of date palms and grape vines flowing from | أَ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ تَكُوْنَ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ مِّنْ نَخِيْلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ |
| underneath it, rivers for him in it from all fruits while old age strikes him | تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ لَهُ فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَأَصَابَهُ الكِبَرُ |
| and he has weak children then a whirlwind strikes it, in it a fire, then it is burnt | وَلَهُ ذُرِّيَّةٌ ضُعَفَآءُ فَأَصَابَهَآ إِعْصَارٌ فِيْهِ نَارٌ فَأَحْتَرَقَتْ |
2-266 | like that Allah (SWT) makes clear for you His signs so that you may ponder (think) |
2-282 | O you who believe! when you contract with one another any debt for a fixed term, then write it | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِذَا تَدَايَنْتُم بِدَيْنٍ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمَّى فَاكْتُبُوْهُ |
| and let a writer (scribe) write between you in justice and the writer must not refuse to write | وَلْيَكْتُب بَّيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالعَدْلِ وَلَا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ أَن يَكْتَبَ |
| as Allah (SWT) taught him so, let him write and let who incurs the liability dictate and he must fear Allah (SWT) | كَمَا عَلَّمَهُ اللهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللهَ |
| his Lord and diminish not from it anything but if is who, on him is the debt poor in understanding | رَبَّهُ وَلَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَإِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الحَقُّ سَفِيْهًا |
| or weak or unable to dictate for himself then let his guardian dictate in justice | أَوْ ضَعِيْفًا أَوْ لَا يَسْتَطِيْعُ أَنْ يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ بِالعَدْلِ |
| and witness with two witnesses from your men and if there are not two men then a man | وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَهِيْدَيْنِ مِن رِّجَالِكُمْ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُوْنَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ |
| and two women from what you are pleased from witnessing, if one of them errs | وَامْرَأَتَانِ مِمَّن تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَآءِ أَنْ تَضِلَّ إِحْدَاهُمَا |
| then the other one of the two can remind her and the witnesses should not refuse when they are called | فَتُذَكِّرَ إِحْدَاهُمَا الأُخْرَى وَلَا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَآءُ إِذَا مَا دُعُوا |
| and don’t be weary to write it whether it be small or big for its fixed term | وَلَا تَسْئَمُوا أَنْ تَكْتُبُوْهُ صَغِيْرًا أَوْ كَبِيْرًا إِلَى أَجَلِهِ |
| that is more just with Allah (SWT) and more solid as evidence and more convenient to prevent doubt | ذَلِكُمْ أَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَأَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَأَدْنَى أَلَّا تَرْتَابُوا |
| except when it is a present trade you carry out on the spot between you | إِلَّآ أَنْ تَكُوْنَ تِجَارَةً حَاضِرَةً تُدِيْرُوْنَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ |
| then no sin on you if you don’t write it but take witnesses when you make a commercial contract | فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَلَّا تَكْتُبُوْهَا وَأَشْهِدُوا إِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْ |
| and not the writer nor the witness must suffer any harm but if you do then truly it will be wickedness in you | وَلَا يُضَآرَّ كَاتِبٌ وَلَا شَهِيْدٌ وَإِنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَإِنَّهُ فُسُوْقٌ بِكُمْ |

| is the guidance of Allah (SWT)” that one is given the like of what was given to you, or they may argue with you | هُدَى اللهِ أَنْ يُؤْتَى أَحَدٌ مِثْلَ مَآ أُوْتِيْتُمْ أَوْ يُحَاجُّوْكُمْ |
| with your Lord say, “Truly, the bounty is in the hand of Allah (SWT) He gives it to who He wishes | عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ الفَصْلَ بِيَدِ اللهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَآءُ |
