اِسْمُ الْمَفْعُوْلِ | the path of those You have bestowed Your Grace | صِرَاطَ الَّذِيْنَ أَنْعَمَتَ عَلَيْهِمْ
1-7 | not of those who have earned Your Anger nor of those who are astray |
And when you said “O Moses we cannot endure one kind of food so, invoke your Lord for us | وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوْسَى لَنْ نَّصْبِرَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ وَاحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ
to bring forth for us of what the earth grows of its herbs, its cucumbers, its wheat/garlic, its lentils | يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الأَرْضُ مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَ قِثَّآئِهَا وَقَوْمِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا
and its onions” He said “Would you exchange for that which is lesser with that which is better?
Go you down to a town and you shall find what you are asking for” and they were covered with | اهْبِطُوْا مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُمْ مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ
humiliation and misery as they drew on themselves the Wrath from Allah that due to their | الذِّلَّةُ وَالمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَاءُوْا بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا
disbelieving in the signs of Allah (SWT) and killing the Prophets without right | يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ وَيَقْتُلُوْنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ بِغَيْرِ الحَقِّ
2-61 | that was because they disobeyed and were transgressing |
Miserable is the price they have sold their souls for that they disbelieve in what Allah (SWT) sent down | بِئْسَمَا اشْتَرَوْا بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ أَنْ يَكْفُرُوْا بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللهُ
grudging Allah (SWT) for granting His Grace to whomsoever He Wills of His servants | بَغْيًا أَنْ يُنَزِّلَ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ عَلَى مَنْ يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ
2-90 | so, they have drawn (earned) wrath upon wrath and for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment |
Humiliation struck on them wherever they are found except with a rope from Allah (SWT) |
and a rope from the people and they incurred wrath from Allah (SWT) | وَحَبْلٍ مِّنَ النَّاسِ وَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللهِ
and the poverty struck on them that is because they disbelieved in the signs of Allah (SWT) | وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ المَسْكَنَةُ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ
3-112 | and they killed the prophets without right that is because they disobeyed, and they used to transgress |
and whoever kills a believer intentionally then his recompence is Hell, abiding in it forever | وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَآؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيْهَا
4-93 | and Allah (SWT’s) anger will be on him, He will curse him, He has prepared for him a great punishment |
Say, shall I inform you what is a worse recompense from Allah (SWT) than that? It is the one who | قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِشَرٍّ مِّنْ ذَلِكَ مَثُوْبَةً عِنْدَ اللهِ مَنْ
Allah (SWT) cursed him and became angry with him and made of them monkeys and swine |
5-60 | and he worshipped false gods, those are worse in rank (position) and farthest astray from the even way | وَعَبَدَ الطَّاغُوتَ أُوْلَآئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ عَنْ سَوَاءِ السَّبِيْلِ
He said, “Verily fallen upon you from your Lord, punishment and anger do you dispute with me about | قَالَ قَدْ وَقَعَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ رِجْسٌ وَغَضَبٌ أَتُجَادِلُوْنَنِي فِي
names you named them, you and your forefathers, not Allah (SWT) sent down for it any authority?
7-71 | then wait indeed, I am with you of the ones who wait” |
and when Moosa (AS) returned to his people angry and grieved he said, “evil is what | وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوْسَى أِلَى قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ أَسِفًا قَالَ بِئْسَمَا
you succeeded me with from after me, were you impatient with the command of your Lord?”
and he cast down the tablets and he seized his brother by the head, dragging him to himself | وَأَلْقَى الأَلْوَاحَ وَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِ أَخِيْهِ يَجُرُّهُ إِلَيْهِ
he said, “son of my mother! surely, the people considered me weak and were about to kill me | قَالَ ابْنَ أُمَّ إِنَّ القَوْمَ اسْتَضْعَفُوْنِي وَكَادُوا يَقْتُلُوْنَنِي
7-150 | so, let not the enemy rejoice over me and don’t make me among the wrongdoing people” | فَلَا تُشْمِتْ بِيَ الأَعْدَآءَ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي مَعَ القَوْمِ الظَّالِمِيْنَ
