Chapter 11
Chapter 11 of the holy Quran with full Arabic text and English translation (Surah Hud – سُوْرَةُ هُوْدٍ – Hud)
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Eternally Merciful
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ
| Part 11 / Chapter 11 | Chapter 11 | Chapter 11 / يَعْتَذِرُوْنَ إِلَيْكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ |
| Verse | ||
| Alif-Lam-Ra | ا ل ر | |
| A book, perfected are its verses, then explained in detail | كِتَابٌ أُحْكِمَتْ ءَايَاتُهُ ثُمَّ فُصِّلَتْ | |
| from One All-Wise, All-Aware | 1 | مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيْمٍ خَبِيْرٍ |
| that “not you worship but Allah (SWT) indeed, I am to you from Him a warner and a bearer of glad tidings” | 2 | أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللهَ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيْرٌ وَبَشِيْرٌ |
| and that, “seek forgiveness of your Lord and turn in repentance to Him, He will let you enjoy a good enjoyment | وَأَنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوْبُوآ إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُم مَّتَاعًا حَسَنًا | |
| for an appointed term and give every possessor of grace, His Grace | إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِي فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُ | |
| but if you turn away then indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a great day | 3 | وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوا فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ كَبِيْرٍ |
| to Allah (SWT) is your return and He is over everything All-Powerful” | 4 | إِلَى اللهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ |
| No doubt! they fold up their breasts that they may hide from Him | ألَآ إِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُوْنَ صُدُوْرَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا مِنْهُ | |
| Surely, when they cover their garments, He knows what they conceal and what they reveal | أَلَا حِيْنَ يَسْتَغْشُوْنَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّوْنَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُوْنَ | |
| surely, He is All-Knowing of what the breasts possess | 5 | إِنَّهُ عَلِيْمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ |
| Part 12 / Chapter 11 | Chapter 11 / وَمَا مِنْ دَآبَّةٍ فِي الأَرْضِ | |
| and not from any moving creature in the earth except upon Allah (SWT) its provision and He knows | وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ | |
| its dwelling place and its resting place (grave), all is in a clear record | 6 | مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا كُلٌّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِيْنٍ |
| and He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six periods (days) | وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ | |
| and His throne is on the water so that He might test which of you is best in deed | وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى المَآءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا | |
| but if you say, “indeed, you will be resurrected from after the death” | وَلَئِنْ قُلْتَ إِنَّكُم مَبْعُوْثُوْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِ المَوْتِ | |
| certainly, those who disbelieved will say, “not is this but clear magic” | 7 | لَيَقُوْلَنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ |
| and if We delay from them the punishment for a determined time | وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ العَذَابَ إِلَى أُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُوْدَةٍ | |
| they will surely say, “What detains it?” no doubt! the day it comes to them, not will be averted from them | لَّيَقُوْلُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُ أَلَا يَوْمَ يَأْتِيْهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوْفًا عَنْهُمْ | |
| and what they used to mock at it will surround them | 8 | وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ |
| and certainly, if We give man a taste from Our mercy then We withdraw it from him | وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَا الإِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً ثُمَّ نَزَعْنَاهَا مِنْهُ | |
| indeed, he is certainly, ungratefully despairing | 9 | إِنَّهُ لَيَئُوْسٌ كَفُوْرٌ |
| and certainly, if We give him a taste of favor after hardship has touched him | وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاهُ نَعْمَآءَ بَعْدَ ضَرّآءَ مَسَّتْهُ | |
| surely, he will say, “the evils have gone from me” indeed, he is boastfully exultant | 10 | لَيَقُوْلَنَّ ذَهَبَ السَّيِّئَاتُ عَنِّي إِنَّهُ لَفَرِيْحٌ فَخُوْرٌ |
| except those who are patient and do righteous deeds | إِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ صَبَرُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ | |
| those, for them is forgiveness and a huge reward | 11 | أُوْلَآئِكَ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيْرٌ |
| Then possibly you may give up a part of what is revealed to you and straitened by it | فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِكٌ بَعْضَ مَا يُوْحَى إِلَيْكَ وَضَآئِقٌ بِهِ | |
| your breasts because they say, “why not is sent down for him a treasure or has come with him | صَدْرُكَ أَنْ يَقُوْلُوا لَوْلَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ كَنْزٌ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُ | |
| an angel?” only you are a warner and Allah (SWT) is a Guardian over everything | 12 | مَلَكٌ إِنَّمَآ أَنْتَ نَذِيْرٌ وَاللهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيْلٌ |
| or they say, “He fabricated it” say, “then bring ten chapters like it, fabricated | أَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ افْتَرَاهُ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِعَشْرِ سُوَرٍ مِّثْلِهِ مُفْتَرَيَاتٍ | |
| and call whom you are able to from other than Allah (SWT) if you are truthful” | 13 | وَادْعُوا مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُم مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِيْنَ |
| then if not they respond to you then know that it was sent down with the knowledge of Allah (SWT) | فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيْبُوا لَكُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَآ أُنْزِلَ بِعِلْمِ اللهِ | |
| and that there is no God except He then will you be of those who submit? | 14 | وَأَن لَّآ إِلَاهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَهَلْ أَنْتُم مُّسْلِمُوْنَ |
| whoever used to desire the worldly life and its adornments | مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيْدُ الحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِيْنَتَهَا | |
| We will repay in full to them for their deeds therein and they in it will not be lessened | 15 | نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فِيْهَا وَهُمْ فِيْهَا لَا يُبْخَسُوْنَ |
| Those are whom not for them in the hereafter except the fire | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ فِيْ الئَاخِرَةِ إِلَّا النَّارُ | |
| and what they did therein has gone in vain and is worthless what they used to do | 16 | وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا فِيْهَا وَبَاطِلٌ مَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| Then is he who is on a clear proof from his Lord and he recites it, a witness from Him and from | أَفَمَنْ كَانَ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ وَيَتْلُوْهُ شَاهِدٌ مِّنْهُ وَمِنْ | |
| before it a book of Musa (AS) as a guide and mercy? those believe in it | قَبْلِهِ كِتَابُ مُوْسَى إِمَامًا وَرَحْمَةً أُوْلَآئِكَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِهِ | |
| and who disbelieves in it among the sects then the fire is his promised place | وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِ مِنَ الأَحْزَابِ فَالنَّارُ مَوْعِدُهُ | |
| so, do not be in doubt about it truly, it is the truth from your Lord | فَلَا تَكُ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ إِنَّهُ الحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ | |
| but most of the people do not believe | 17 | وَلَاكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| and who is more unjust than who invents a lie against Allah? | وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللهِ كَذِبًا | |
| those will be presented to their Lord and the witnesses will say, | أُوْلَآئِكَ يُعْرَضُوْنَ عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ وَيَقُوْلُ الأَشْهَادُ | |
| “these are those who lied against their Lord” | هَآؤُلَآءِ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ | |
| No doubt! the curse of Allah (SWT) is on the wrongdoers | 18 | أَلَا لَعْنَةُ اللهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| Those who hinder from the path of Allah (SWT) and seek in it crookedness | الَّذِيْنَ يَصُدُّوْنَ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ وَيَبْغَوْنَهَا عِوَجًا | |
| so, they in the hereafter they are the one who disbelieve | 19 | وَهُمْ بِالئَاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُوْنَ |
| Those, not will be escape (relief) in the earth | أُوْلَآئِكَ لَمْ يَكُوْنُوا مُعْجِزِيْنَ فِي الأَرْضِ | |
| and not is for them from besides Allah (SWT) any protectors | وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ | |
| and the punishment will be doubled for them, not were they able to hear | يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمُ العَذَابُ مَا كَانُوا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ السَّمْعَ | |
| and not they used to see | 20 | وَمَا كَانُوا يُبْصِرُوْنَ |
| Those are who have lost their souls and lost from them | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم | |
| what they used to invent | 21 | مَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُوْنَ |
| no doubt that they in the hereafter, they are the greatest loser | 22 | لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الئَاخِرَةِ هُمُ الأَخْسَرُوْنَ |
| Truly, those who believe and do righteous deeds and humble themselves before | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَأَخْبَتُوا إِلَى | |
| their Lord, they are the companions of Paradise, they will live therein forever | 23 | رَبِّهِمْ أُوْلَآئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيْهَا خَالِدُوْنَ |
| the example of the two parties is like the blind and the deaf and the seer | مَثَلُ الفَرِيْقَيْنِ كَالأَعْمَى وَالأَصَمِّ وَالبَصِيْرِ وَالسَّمِيْعِ | |
| are they equal in comparison? then will you not take heed? | 24 | هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ |
| and verily, We sent Nuh (AS) to his people, “Indeed, I am to you a clear warner | 25 | وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوْحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ إِنِّي لَكُمْ نَذِيْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ |
| that let not you worship except Allah (SWT), truly, I fear for you the punishment of a painful day” | 26 | أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا اللهَ إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ أَلِيْمٍ |
| So, the chiefs, those who disbelieved from his people, said, | فَقَالَ المَلَأُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ | |
| “Not we see you except a man like us and not we see followed you, except those, | مَا نَرَاكَ إِلَّا بَشَرًا مِّثْلَنَا وَمَا نَرَاكَ اتَّبَعَكَ إِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ | |
| they are the lowest of us, immature in opinion and not we see in you over us | هُمْ أَرَاذِلُنَا بَادِيَ الرَّأْيِ وَمَا نَرَى لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا | |
| any merit, nay, we think you are the ones who lie” | 27 | مِنْ فَضْلٍ بَلْ نَظُنُّكُمْ كَاذِبِيْنَ |
| He said, “O my people! Do you see if I was on a clear proof from my Lord | قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّي | |
| while He has given me mercy came from Himself | وَءَاتَانِي رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِنْدِهِ | |
| but it has been obscured from you, shall we compel you to accept it while you are averse to it? | 28 | فَعُمِّيَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنُلْزِمُكُمُوْهَا وَأَنْتُمْ لَهَا كَارِهُوْنَ |
| and O my people! not I ask you for it any wealth, not is my reward except from Allah (SWT) | وَيَا قَوْمِ لَآ أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالًا إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَى اللهِ | |
| and not I am going to drive away those who believed | وَمَآ أَنَاْ بِطَارِدِ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا | |
| indeed, they will be meeting their Lord, but I see you are an ignorant people | 29 | إِنَّهُم مُّلَاقُوا رَبِّهِمْ وَلَاكِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ قَوْمًا تَجْهَلُوْنَ |
| and O my people! who will help me against Allah (SWT) if I drove them away | وَيَا قَوْمِ مَن يَنْصُرُنِي مِنَ اللهِ إِنْ طَرَدتُّهُمْ | |
| then will you not take heed? | 30 | أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُوْنَ |
| and not I say to you that with me are the treasures of Allah (SWT) and not I know the unseen | وَلَآ أَقُوْلُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَآئِنُ اللهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ الغَيْبَ | |
| and not I say that I am an angel and not I say for those whom your eyes look down upon | وَلَآ أَقُوْلُ إِنِّي مَلَكٌ وَلَآ أَقُوْلُ لِلَّذِيْنَ تَزْدَرِي أَعْيُنُكُمْ | |
| not will Allah (SWT) give them any good, Allah (SWT) knows best of what is in their souls | لَن يُؤْتِيَهُمُ اللهُ خَيْرًا اللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ | |
| indeed, I, then will surely be of the wrongdoers | 31 | إِنِّي إِذًا لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| They said, “O Nuh (AS) indeed, you disputed with us, and you have been frequent in dispute with us | قَالُوا يَا نُوْحُ قَدْ جَادَلْتَنَا فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَالَنَا | |
| so, bring us of what you threaten us, if you are truthful” | 32 | فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِيْنَ |
| He said, “Only Allah (SWT) will bring it on you if He wills and not you can escape it | 33 | قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَأْتِيْكُمْ بِهِ اللهُ إِنْ شَآءَ وَمَآ أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِيْنَ |
| and not will benefit you my advice if I wish to advise you | وَلَا يَنْفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِي إِنْ أَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَنْصَحَ لَكُمْ | |
| if it was Allah (SWT’s) will, to let you go astray, He is your Lord and to Him you will be returned” | 34 | إِنْ كَانَ اللهُ يُرِيْدُ أَنْ يُغْوِيَكُمْ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُوْنَ |
| or they say, “he has invented it?” say, “if I have invented it, then on me is my crime | ِ | أَمْ يَقُوْلُوْنَ افْتَرَاهُ قُلْ إِنِ افْتَرَيْتُهُ فَعَلَيَّ إِجْرَامِي |
| but I am innocent of what crimes you commit” | 35 | وَأَنَاْ بَرِيْءٌ مِّمَّا تُجْرِمُوْنَ |
| and it was revealed to Nuh (AS) “that not will believe from your people | وَأَوْحِيَ إِلَى نُوْحٍ أَنَّهُ لَن يُؤْمِنَ مِنْ قَوْمِكَ | |
| except whom have indeed, already believed so, do not be distressed by what they have been doing | 36 | إِلَّا مَنْ قَدْ ءَامَنَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُوْنَ |
| and construct the ship under our eyes and our inspiration and do not address Me | وَاصْنَعِ الفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِي | |
| concerning those who wronged, only they are the ones to be drowned” | 37 | فِي الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوا إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُوْنَ |
| and he was constructing the ship and every time the chiefs of his people passed by him | وَيَصْنَعُ الفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأٌ مِّن قَوْمِهِ سَخِرُوا | |
| they ridiculed him, he said, “if you ridicule us then we can ridicule you | مِنْهُ قَالَ إِنْ تَسْخَرُوا مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنْكُمْ | |
| as you ridicule | 38 | كَمَا تَسْخَرُوْنَ |
| and soon you will know whom a punishment will come to him that will disgrace him | فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ مَن يَأْتِيْهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيْهِ | |
| and a lasting punishment will descend on him” | 39 | وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيْمٌ |
| until when came Our command and the oven overflowed | حَتَّى إِذَا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّوْرُ | |
| We said, “Load in it of every kind a pair | قُلْنَا احْمِلْ فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ | |
| and your family except who, the word has preceded against him | وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ القَوْلُ | |
| and whoever believed” and not believed with him except a few | 40 | وَمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَمَآ ءَامَنَ مَعَهُ إِلَّا قَلِيْلٌ |
| and he said, “Embark in it in the name of Allah (SWT) its coarse and its anchorage | وَقَالَ ارْكَبُوا فِيْهَا بِسْمِ اللهِ مَجْرِيهَا وَمُرْسَاهَآ | |
| indeed, my Lord is certainly Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful” | 41 | إِنَّ رَبِّي لَغَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
| and it sailed with them on the waves like mountains and Nuh (AS) called out to his son | وَهِيَ تَجْرِي بِهِمْ فِيْ مَوْجٍ كَالجِبَالِ وَنَادَى نُوْحٌ ابْنَهُ | |
| and he was in apart, “O my son! Embark with us | وَكَانَ فِيْ مَعْزِلٍ يَا بُنَيَّ ارْكَبْ مَّعَنَا | |
| and do not be with the disbelievers” | 42 | وَلَا تَكُن مَّعَ الكَافِرِيْنَ |
| He said, “I will betake myself to a mountain that will save me from the water” | قَالَ سَئَاوِي إِلَى جَبَلٍ يَعْصِمُنِي مِنَ المَآءِ | |
| he said, “there is no protector today from the command of Allah (SWT) except on whom He has mercy” | قَالَ لَا عَاصِمَ اليَوْمَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللهِ إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ | |
| and the waves came in between them, so he was among the drowned | 43 | وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُمَا المَوْجُ فَكَانَ مِنَ المُغْرَقِيْنَ |
| and it was said, “O earth! swallow your water and O sky! withhold” | وَقِيْلَ يَآ أَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَآءَكِ وَيَا سَمَآءُ أَقْلِعِي | |
| and the water subsided, and the command was fulfilled, and it rested on Judi | وَغِيْضَ المَآءُ وَقُضِيَ الأَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الجُوْدِيِّ | |
| and it was said, “away with the wrongdoing people” | 44 | وَقِيْلَ بُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| and Nuh (AS) called his Lord and he said, “O my Lord! indeed, my son is of my family | وَنَادَى نُوْحٌ رَّبَّهُ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ ابْنِي مِنْ أَهْلِي | |
| and indeed, your promise is true, and You are the Most Just of the judges” | 45 | وَإِنَّ وَعْدَكَ الحَقُّ وَأَنْتَ أَحْكَمُ الحَاكِمِيْنَ |
| He said, “O Nuh (AS) surely, he is not from your family indeed, his deeds are without righteousness | قَالَ يَا نُوْحُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ | |
| so, do not ask Me about what not you have of it any knowledge | فَلَا تَسْئَلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ | |
| indeed, I admonish you lest you be among the ignorant” | 46 | إِنِّي أَعِظُكَ أَنْ تَكُوْنَ مِنَ الجَاهِلِيْنَ |
| He said, “O my Lord! Indeed, I seek refuge in You that I ask You what not I have any knowledge of it | قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوْذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْئَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ | |
| and unless You forgive me and have mercy on me, I will be among the losers” | 47 | وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْلِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُن مِّنَ الخَاسِرِيْنَ |
| It was said, “O Nuh (AS) Go down with peace from Us and blessings on you and on the | قِيْلَ يَا نُوْحُ اهْبِطْ بِسَلَامٍ مِّنَّا وَبَرَكَاتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى | |
| nations from those with you and nations We will grant enjoyment | أُمَمٍ مِّمَّن مَّعَكَ وَأُمَمٌ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ | |
| then a painful punishment will touch them from Us” | 48 | ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيْمٌ |
| This is from the news of the unseen, We reveal it to you, not were you knowing it | تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنْبَآءِ الغَيْبِ نُوْحِيْهَآ إِلَيْكَ مَا كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُهَآ | |
| you and not your people from before this so, be patient! | أَنْتَ وَلَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ هَذَا فَاصْبِرْ | |
| indeed, the end is for the God-fearing” | 49 | إِنَّ العَاقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ |
| and to Aad We sent their brother Hud (AS) he said, “O my people! worship Allah (SWT) | وَإِلَى عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُوْدًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللهَ | |
| not for you is any God other than Him, not you are but inventors | 50 | مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَاهٍ غَيْرُهُ إِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُوْنَ |
| O my people! not I ask you for it a reward, not is my reward | يَا قَوْمِ لَآ أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِنْ أَجْرِيَ | |
| except from the One who created me, then will not you use reason? | 51 | إِلَّا عَلَى الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ |
| and O my people! seek forgiveness of your Lord then turn in repentance to Him, He will send from the sky | وَيَا قَوْمِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تَوْبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ السَّمَآءَ | |
| on you, abundance and add strength to your strength | عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَى قُوَّتِكُمْ | |
| so do not turn away as criminals” | 52 | وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوا مُجْرِمِيْنَ |
| They said, “O Hud (AS) you have not brought us clear proofs and not we will leave our gods | قَالُوا يَاهُوْدُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِي ءَالِهَتِنَا | |
| on your saying and not are we believers in you | 53 | عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِيْنَ |
| only we say but that some of our gods have seized you with evil, he said, | إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا اعْتَرَاكَ بَعْضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوءٍ قَالَ إِنِّي | |
| “I call Allah (SWT) to witness, and you bear witness that I am free from that you associate | 54 | أُشْهِدُ اللهَ وَاشْهَدُوا أَنِّى بَرِىءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ |
| from other than Him, so plot against me, all of you, and give me no respite | 55 | مِن دُونِهِ فَكِيدُنِى جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ لَا تُنْظِرُونِ |
| Truly I put my trust in Allah (SWT), my Lord and your Lord, not from a moving creature but He | إِنِّى تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ رَبِّى وَرَبِّكُم مَّا مِن دَآبَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ | |
| has a grasp of its forelock, verily my Lord is on a straight path | 56 | ءَاخِذٌ بِنَا صِيَتِهَآ إِنَّ رَبِّى عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ |
| and if they turn away, then truly I have conveyed what I was sent with it, to you. My Lord will succeed you | فَإِن تَوَلَّوا فَقَد أَبْلَغْتُكُم مَّآ أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْكُم وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّى | |
| with a people other than you and you will not harm Him in the least, truly my Lord is a guardian over all things | 57 | قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُم وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُ شَيْئًا إِنَّ رَبِّى عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَفِيْظٌ |
| and when Our commandment came, We saved Hud (AS) and those who believed with him | وَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُوْدًا وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا مَعَهُ | |
| by a mercy from Us and We saved them from a severe torment | 58 | بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُم مِن عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ |
| and Ad they rejected the signs of their Lord and disobeyed their Messengers | وَتِلْكَ عَادٌ جَحَدُوا بِئَايَاتِ رَبِّهِم وَعَصَوا رُسُلَهُ | |
| and they followed the command of every proud, obstinate person | 59 | وَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيْدٍ |
| and they were followed in this world by a curse and on the day of resurrection. Did not indeed, Ad | وَأُتْبِعُوا فِى هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً وَيَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ أَلَآ إِنَّ عَادًا | |
| disbelieved in their Lord, so away with Ad, the people of Hud | 60 | كَفَرُوا رَبَّهُم أَلَا بُعْدًا لِّعَادٍ قَوْمِ هُوْدٍ |
| and to Thamud, their brother Salih (AS), he said, “O my people, worship Allah (SWT), there is not for you | وَإِلَى ثَمُوْدَ أَخَاهُم صَالِحًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللهَ مَا لَكُم مِّن | |
| a God other than He, He brought you forth from the earth and He settled you therein | إِلَاهٍ غَيْرُهُ هُوَ أَنْشَأَكُم مِّنَ الأَرْضِ وَاسْتَعْمَرَكُم فِيهَا | |
| so, seek His forgiveness then turn in repentance to Him, truly my Lord is Near, Responsive | 61 | فَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيهِ إِنَّ رَبِّى قَرِيْبٌ مُّجِيْبٌ |
| They said, “O Salih, you have been among us as a figure of hope prior till, do you forbid us to worship | قَالُوا يَا صَالِحُ قَد كُنْتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّا قَبْلَ هَذَآ أَتَنهَانَآ أَن نَّعْبُدَ | |
| what our fathers worshipped? so truly we are in grave doubt as to that which you invite us | 62 | مَا يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيهِ مُرِيْبٍ |
| He said, “O my people, if I have a clear proof from my Lord, and has come to me from Him | قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَئَيْتُم إِن كُنْتُ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَانِى مِنْهُ | |
| a mercy, then who can help me from Allah (SWT) if I disobeyed Him? so, not you increase me | رَحْمَةً فَمَن يَنْصُرُنِى مِنَ اللهِ إِن عَصَيتُهُ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِى | |
| but in loss | 63 | غَيْرَ تَخْسِيْرٍ |
| and O my people! this she-camel of Allah (SWT) is a sign to you so leave her to feed in the land of Allah (SWT) | وَيَا قَوْمِ هَذِهِ نَاقَةُ اللهِ لَكُم ءَايَةً فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِى أَرْضِ اللهِ | |
| and do not touch her with evil lest a near torment should touch you” | 64 | وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُم عَذَابٌ قَرِيْبٌ |
| but they killed her, so he said, “enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days | فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا فِى دَارِكُم ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ | |
| this is a promise that will not be belied | 65 | ذَلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوْبٍ |
| so, when Our commandment came, We saved Salih (AS) and those who believed with him by a mercy | فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّينَا صَالِحًا وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ | |
| from Us and from the disgrace of that day, truly, your Lord, He is All-Strong, All-Mighty | 66 | مِّنَّا وَمِن خِزْىِ يَوْمَئِذٍ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ القَوِىُّ العَزِيْزُ |
| and the torment overtook those who wronged so in the morning in their homes they lay prostrate | 67 | وَأَخَذَ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِى دِيَارِهِم جَاثِمِيْنَ |
| as if they never lived there, truly Thamud disbelieved in their Lord, so away with Thamud | 68 | كَأَن لَّم يَغْنَوا فِيهَآ أَلَآ إِنَّ ثَمُودَا كَفَرُوا رَبَّهُم أَلَا بُعْدًا لِّثَمُودَ |
| and verily Our Messengers came to Ebrahim (AS) with glad tidings, they said, “Greetings of peace” | وَلَقَدْ جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَآ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ بِالبُشْرَى قَالُوا سَلَامًا | |
| he said, “Greetings of peace” and he hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf | 69 | قَالَ سَلَامٌ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَنْ جَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيْذٍ |
| but when he saw their hands went not to it, he mistrusted them and conceived a fear of them | فَلَمَّا رَءَآ أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُم وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُم خِيْفَةً | |
| they said, “fear not, truly we have been sent to the people of Lut (AS) | 70 | قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَى قَوْمِ لُوْطٍ |
| and his wife was standing, and she laughed, and We gave her glad tidings of Ishaq (AS) | وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَآئِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَاقَ | |
| and after Ishaq, of Yaqub (AS) | 71 | وَمِن وَرَآءِ إِسْحَاقَ يَعْقُوْبَ |
| she said, “Woe unto me, shall I bear a child while I am an old woman and here is my husband, | قَالَتْ يَا وَيْلَتَى ءَأَلِدُ وَأَنَاْ عَجُوزٌ وَهَذَا بَعْلِى | |
| an old man, surely, this is a strange thing” | 72 | شَيْخًا إِنَّ هَذَا لَشَيْءٌ عَجِيْبٌ |
| they said, “do you wonder at the decree of Allah (SWT)? the mercy of Allah (SWT) and His blessings | قَالُوا أَتَعْجَبِيْنَ مِن أَمْرِ اللهِ رَحْمَتُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ | |
| be on you, family of the house, surely, He is All-Praiseworthy, All-Glorious | 73 | عَلَيْكُم أَهْلَ البَيْتِ إِنَّهُ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ |
| so, when the fear had subsided from Ebrahim (AS) and the glad tidings reached him | فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَن إِبْرَاهِيْمَ الرَّوْعُ وَجَآءَتْهُ البُشْرَى | |
| he began to plead with Us for the people of Lut (AS) | 74 | يُجَادِلُنَا فِى قَوْمِ لُوْطٍ |
| verily, Ebrahim (AS) was surely forbearing, humble and repentant | 75 | إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ لَحَلِيْمٌ أَوَّاهٌ مُّنِيْبٌ |
| “O Ebrahim (AS), forsake this, indeed the commandment of your Lord has gone forth | يَآ إِبْرَاهِيْمُ أَعْرِضْ عَن هَذَآ إِنَّهُ قَد جَآءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ | |
| and verily, a torment will come for them which cannot be turned back | 76 | وَإِنَّهُم ءَاتِيهِم عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُودٍ |
| and when Our Messengers came to Lut (AS), he was grieved over them and felt straitened | وَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوْطًا سِىءَ بِهِم وَضَاقَ بِهِم | |
| for them, he said, “this is a distressful day” | 77 | ذَرْعًا وَقَالَ هَذَا يَوْمٌ عَصِيْبٌ |
| and his people came to him, rushing towards him, and from before they used to commit evil | وَجَآئَهُ قَوْمُهُ يُهْرَعُوْنَ إِلَيْهِ وَمِن قَبْلُ كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ | |
| he said, “O my people! here are my daughters, they are purer for you so, fear Allah (SWT) | قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ هَآؤُلَآءِ بَنَاتِى هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُم فَاتَّقُوا اللهَ | |
| and do not disgrace before my guests, is there not among you a right-minded man? | 78 | وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِى ضَيْفِى أَلَيْسَ مِنْكُم رَجُلٌ رَّشِيْدٌ |
| they said, “surely you know that we have no desire for your daughters | قَالُوا لَقَد عَلِمتَ مَا لَنَا فِى بَنَاتِكَ مِن حَقٍّ | |
| and indeed, you surely know what we want | 79 | وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ |
| he said, “had I strength to overpower you or I could access a strong support | 80 | قَالَ لَو أَنَّ لِى بِكُم قُوَّةً أَو ءَاوِى إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيْدٍ |
| they said, “O Lut (AS) verily we are Messengers of your Lord, they will not reach you | قَالُوا يَا لُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَن يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ | |
| so, travel with your family in a part of the night and let not anyone among you look back | فَأَسْرِ بِأَهْلِكَ بِقِطعٍ مِّنَ الَّيْلِ وَلَا يَلْتَفِت مِنكُم أَحَدٌ | |
| except your wife, verily it will afflict her, what will afflict them | إِلَّا امْرَأَتَكَ إِنَّهُ مُصِيْبُهَا مَآ أَصَابَهُم | |
| verily, morning is their appointed time, is not the morning, near? | 81 | إِنَّ مَوعِدَهُمُ الصُّبْحُ أَلَيْسَ الصُّبْحُ بِقَرِيْبٍ |
| so, when Our commandment came, We made its upside its low side and We rained | فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْتَرنَا | |
| on them stones of baked clay, layered | 82 | عَلَيهَا حِجَارَةً مِّن سَجِّيلٍ مَّنضُودٍ |
| marked from your Lord, and not is it ever far from the wrongdoers | 83 | مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ وَمَا هِيَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ بِبَعِيدٍ |
| and to Madyan, their brother Shuaib (AS), he said, “O my people, worship Allah (SWT) | وَإِلَى مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُم شُعَيْبًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللهَ | |
| not for you from a God besides Him and do not decrease the measure | مَا لَكُم مِّن إِلَاهٍ غَيْرُهُ وَلَا تَنقُصُوا المِكْيَالَ | |
| and the scale, truly, I see you in prosperity and I truly fear | وَالمِيزَانَ إِنِّى أَرَاكُم بِخَيْرٍ وَإِنِّى أَخَافُ | |
| for you the punishment of a day, all-encompassing | 84 | عَلَيكُم عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُّحِيطٍ |
| and O my people, give full measure and weight in justice and do not deprive | وَيَا قَوْمِ أَوفُوا المِكْيَالَ وَالمِيزَانَ بِالقِسْطِ وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا | |
| the people their things and do not act wickedly in the earth, spreading corruption | 85 | النَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُم وَلَا تَعثَوا فِى الأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِيْنَ |
| what remains with Allah (SWT) is best for you, if you are believers | بَقِيَّةُ اللهِ خَيْرٌ لَّكُم إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |
| and not am I over you a guardian” | 86 | وَمَآ أَنَاْ عَلَيكُم بِحَفِيظٍ |
| they said, “O Shuaib (AS), does your prayer command you that we leave what | قَالُوا يَا شُعَيبُ أَصَلَاتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ أَن نَّترُكَ مَا يَعْبُدُ | |
| our fathers worshipped or that we do regarding our wealth what we wish? | ءَابَآؤُنَآ أَو أَن نَّفعَلَ فِى أَمْوَالِنَا مَا نَشَآؤُا | |
| verily, you, certainly you are forbearing, right-minded | 87 | إِنَّكَ لَأَنتَ الحَلِيمُ الرَّشِيدُ |
| he said, “O my people, do you see if I am on a clear proof from my Lord | قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَئَيتُم إِن كُنتُ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّى | |
| and He provided me from Himself, a good provision and not I intend to differ with you | وَرَزَقَنِى مِنهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن أُخَالِفَكُم | |
| in what I forbid you from it, not I intend but the reform as much as I am able | إِلَى مَآ أَنهَاكُم عَنهُ إِن أُرِيدُ إِلَّا الإِصْلَاحَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ | |
| and not is my success except with Allah (SWT), upon Him I trust and to Him I turn | 88 | وَمَا تَوفِيقِى إِلَّا بِاللهِ عَلَيهِ تَوَكَّلتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ |
| and O my people, let my dissension cause you to sin, lest touches you similar to | وَيَا قَومِ لَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُم شِقَاقِى أَن يُصِيبَكُم مِّثْلُ | |
| what befell the people of Nuh (AS) or the people of Hud (AS) or the people of Salih (AS) | مَآ أَصَابَ قَومَ نُوحٍ أَو قَومَ هُودٍ أَو قَومَ صَالِحٍ | |
| and not are the people of Lut (AS) far off from you | 89 | وَمَا قَومُ لُوطٍ مِّنكُم بِبَعِيدٍ |
| and ask forgiveness of your Lord then turn to Him in repentance | وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُم ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيهِ | |
| verily my Lord is Most Merciful, Most Loving | 90 | إِنَّ رَبِّى رَحِيمٌ وَدُودٌ |
| they said, “O Shuaib (AS) we do not understand much of what you say | قَالُوا يَا شُعَيبُ مَا نَفْقَهُ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ | |
| and truly we see you among us as weak and had it not been for your family | وَإِنَّا لَنَرَاكَ فِينَا ضَعِيفًا وَلَو لَا رَهطُكَ | |
| we would certainly have stoned you and you are not powerful against us” | 91 | لَرَجَمنَاكَ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَينَا بِعَزِيزٍ |
| he said, “O my people! is then my family of more weight to you than Allah (SWT)? | قَالَ يَا قَومِ أَرَهطِى أَعَزُّ عَلَيكُم مِّنَ اللهِ | |
| and you have taken Him behind your backs | وَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُ وَرَآءَكُم ظِهرِيًّا | |
| verily, my Lord is All Encompassing of what you do | 92 | إِنَّ رَبِّى بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ |
| and O my people! work according to your position, truly I am working | وَيَا قَومِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُم إِنِّى عَامِلٌ | |
| soon you will know to whom will come a punishment disgracing him | سَوفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ | |
| and who, he is a liar, and watch you, truly I with you am watching | 93 | وَمَن هُوَ كَاذِبٌ وَارتَقِبُوا إِنِّى مَعَكُم رَقِيبٌ |
| and when Our commandment came, We saved Shuaib (AS) and those who believed | وَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمرُنَا نَجَّينَا شُعَيبًا وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا | |
| with him by a mercy from Us and a torment overtook the wrongdoers | مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَأَخَذَتِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيحَةُ | |
| and they became in their homes fallen prone | 94 | فَأَصْبَحُوا فِى دِيَارِهِم جَاثِمِينَ |
| as if they never lived there, so away with Madyan as away with Thamud | 95 | كَأَن لَّم يَغنَوا فِيهَآ أَلَا بُعدًا لِّمَديَنَ كَمَا بَعِدَت ثَمُودُ |
| and indeed, We sent Musa (AS) with Our signs and a clear authority | 96 | وَلَقَد أَرسَلنَا مُوسَى بِئَايَاتِنَا وَسُلطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ |
| to Firaun and his chiefs but they followed the command of Firaun | إِلَى فِرعَونَ وَمَلَإِيهِ فَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ فِرعَونَ | |
| however, the command of Firaun was no right guide | 97 | وَمَآ أَمرُ فِرعَونَ بِرَشِيدٍ |
| he will precede his people on the day of resurrection and lead them into the fire | يَقدُمُ قَومَهُ يَومَ القِيَامَةِ فَأَورَدَهُمُ النَّارَ | |
| and wretched is the place they are led to | 98 | وَبِئْسَ الوِردُ المَورُودُ |
| they were followed in this by a curse and on the day of resurrection | وَأُتبِعُوا فِى هَذِهِ لَعنَةً وَيَومَ القِيَامَةِ | |
| wretched is the gift gifted | 99 | بِئْسَ الرِّفدُ المَرفُودُ |
| that is of the news of the towns We relate to you | ذَلِكَ مِن أَنبَآءِ القُرَى نَقُصُّهُ عَلَيكَ | |
| of them some are standing and mown | 100 | مِنهَا قَآئِمٌ وَحَصِيدٌ |
| We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves | وَمَا ظَلَمنَاهُم وَلَاكِن ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُم | |
| so not availed them, their gods whom they invoked | فَمَآ أَغْنَت عَنهُم ءَالِهَتُهُمُ الَّتِى يَدعُونَ | |
| from other than Allah (SWT) anything when came the command of your Lord | مِن دُونِ اللهِ مِن شَيءٍ لَّمَا جَآءَ أَمرُرَبِّكَ | |
| nor did they increase them other than ruin | 101 | وَمَا زَادُوهُم غَيرَ تَتبِيبٍ |
| such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are wronging | وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَآ أَخَذَ القُرَى وَهِىَ ظَالِمَةٌ | |
| verily His seizure is Painful, Severe | 102 | إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ |
| indeed, in that are surely signs for who fear the punishment of the hereafter | إِنَّ فِى ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّمَن خَافَ عَذَابَ الآخِرَةِ | |
| that is a day mankind will be gathered on it and that is a day witnessed | 103 | ذَلِكَ يَومٌ مَّجمُوعٌ لَّهُ النَّاسُ وَذَلِكَ يَومٌ مَّشْهُودٌ |
| and not We delay it except for a term limited (fixed) | 104 | وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُ إِلَّا لِأَجَلٍ مَّعدُودٍ |
| on the day when it comes, no person shall speak except by His leave | يَومَ يَأْتِ لَا تَكَلَّمُ نَفسٌ إِلَّا بِإِذنِهِ | |
| and among them wretched and blessed | 105 | فَمِنهُم شَقِيٌّ وَسَعِيدٌ |
| as for those who are wretched, then in the fire for them | فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ شَقُوا فَفِى النَّارِ لَهُم | |
| in it sighing and wailing | 106 | فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَشَهِيقٌ |
| they will dwell therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain | خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ | |
| except what your Lord wills, indeed, your Lord is the All-Accomplisher of what He intends | 107 | إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ |
| as for those who were glad, then in Paradise they will abide in it | وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا فَفِى الجَنَّةِ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا | |
| for all the time the heaven and the earth endure except as your Lord wills | مَا دَامَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ | |
| a gift without an end | 108 | عَطَآءً غَيرَ مَجذُوذٍ |
| so, be not in doubt as to what these worship, not they worship | فَلَا تَكُ فِى مِريَةٍ مِّمَّا يَعبُدُ هَآؤُلَآءِ مَا يَعبُدُونَ | |
| except as their fathers from before worshipped | إِلَّا كَمَا يَعبُدُ ءَابَآؤُهُم مِّن قَبلُ | |
| and indeed, We will pay them their share in full, without diminishing | 109 | وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُم نَصِيبَهُم غَيرَ مَنقُوصٍ |
| and indeed, We gave Musa (AS) the book, but differences arouse therein | وَلَقَد ءَاتَينَا مُوسَى الكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ | |
| and had it not been for a word gone forth from your Lord, surely would have been judged | وَلَولَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَت مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُدِىَ | |
| between them, and indeed, they surely are in doubt concerning it, suspicious | 110 | بَيْنَهُم وَإِنَّهُم لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّنهُ مُرِيبٍ |
| and indeed, to each then, your Lord will certainly pay them in full for their works | وَإِنَّ كُلَّا لَّمَّا لَيُوَفِّيَنَّهُم رَبُّكَ أَعْمَالَهُم | |
| surely, He is All-Aware of what they do | 111 | إِنَّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ |
| so, stand firm as you are commanded, along with those who repent with you and transgress not | فَاستَقِم كَمَآ أُمِرتَ وَمَن تَابَ مَعَكَ وَلَا تَطغَوا | |
| verily, He is All-Seer of what you do | 112 | إِنَّهُ بِمَا تَعمَلُون بَصِيرٌ |
| and do not incline to those who do wrong, lest the fire should touch you | وَلَا تَركَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ | |
| and not for you from other than Allah (SWT) any protector, then not will you be helped | 113 | وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللهِ مِن أَولِيَآءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ |
| and establish the prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of night | وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَىِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِّنَ الَّيلِ | |
| indeed, good removes evil, that is a reminder for the ones who remember | 114 | إِنَّ الحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ذَلِكَ ذِكرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ |
| and be patient as verily, Allah (SWT) does not let go to waste the reward of the good doers | 115 | وَاصْبِر فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ المُحْسِنِينَ |
| so, had there only been among the generations before you, men enduring | فَلَولَا كَانَ مِنَ القُرُونِ مِن قَبلِكُم أُولُوا بَقِيَّةٍ | |
| prohibiting from corruption in the earth, except a few of whom | يَنهَونَ عَنِ الفَسَادِ فِى الأَرضِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّمَّن | |
| We saved from among them, but those who did wrong followed what enjoyment they were given | أَنجَينَا مِنهُم وَاتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَآ أُترِفُوا | |
| therein and they were criminals | 116 | فِيهِ وَكَانُوا مُجرِمِينَ |
| and not would your Lord destroy the cities unjustly | وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهلِكَ القُرَى بِظُلمٍ | |
| while its people reform | 117 | وَأَهلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ |
| and had your Lord willed, surely, He could have made mankind one community | وَلَو شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً | |
| however not will they cease to differ | 118 | وَلَا يَزَالُونَ مُختَلِفِينَ |
| except whom your Lord bestowed mercy and for that He created them, and the word of your Lord was fulfilled | إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ رَبُّكَ وَلِذَلِكَ خَلَقَهُم وَتَمَّت كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ | |
| “Surely, I shall fill Hell with jinn and men all together” | 119 | لَأَملَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجمَعِينَ |
| and all that We relate to you of the news of the Messengers, is that We affirm thereby | وَكُلًّا نَّقُصُّ عَلَيكَ مِن أَنبَآءِ الرُّسُلِ مَا نُثَبِّتُ بِهِ | |
| your heart, and in this, the truth has come to you, and an admonition | فُؤَادَكَ وَجَآءَكَ فِى هَذِهِ الحَقُّ وَمَوعِظَةٌ | |
| and a reminder for the believers | 120 | وَذِكرَى لِلمُؤمِنِينَ |
| and say to those who do not believe, “work according to your position | وَقُل لِّلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤمِنُونَ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُم | |
| indeed, We are working” | 121 | إِنَّا عَامِلُونَ |
| and wait, indeed, We are ones who wait | 122 | وَانتَظِرُوا إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ |
| and belongs to Allah (SWT) the unseen of the heavens and the earth | وَلِلَّهِ غَيبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرضِ | |
| and to Him, the matter will be returned, all of it, so, worship Him | وَإِلَيهِ يُرجَعُ الأَمرُ كُلُّهُ فَاعْبُدهُ | |
| and put your trust upon Him, and your Lord is not unaware of what you do | 123 | وَتَوَكَّل عَلَيهِ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعمَلُونَ |
