In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Eternally Merciful
Part 17 / Chapter 22 | Verse | Chapter 22 /
O mankind! Be mindful of your Lord |
Indeed, the shaking of the hour is a thing, great | 1 | إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيْمٌ |
2 | ||
17 | ||
see you not that indeed, prostrate to Allah (SWT), whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth | أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُ مَنْ فِى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَن فِى الأَرْضِ
and the sun and the moon and the stars and the mountains and the trees and the moving creatures | وَالشَّمْسُ وَالقَمَرُ وَالنُّجُوْمُ وَالجِبَالُ وَالشَّجَرُ وَالدَّوَآبُّ
and many of the people? however, many are there upon whom, the punishment is justified | وَكَثِيْرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَكَثِيْرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ العَذَابُ
and whomever Allah (SWT) humiliates, then not for him is a bestower of honor | وَمَن يُهِنِ اللهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِن مُّكْرِمٍ
verily, Allah (SWT) does what He wills | 18 | إِنَّ اللهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَآءُ |
38 | ||
Permission is given to those who are being fought because they were wronged |
and indeed, Allah (SWT) is surely able for their victory | 39 | وَإِنَّ اللهَ عَلَى نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيْرٌ |
Those who have been evicted from their homes without right except that they said, “Our Lord is Allah (SWT) | الَّذِيْنَ أُخْرِجُوا مِن دِيَارِهِم بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّآ أَن يَقُوْلُوا رَبُّنَا اللهُ
and had not Allah (SWT) checked the people, some of them by others surely would have been demolished | وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لَّهُدِّمَتْ
monasteries and churches and synagogues and mosques wherein are mentioned much the name of Allah (SWT) | صَوَامِعُ وَبِيَعٌ وَصَلَوَاتٌ وَمَسَاجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيْهَا اسْمُ اللهِ كَثِيْرًا
and surely Allah (SWT) will help those who help him indeed, Allah (SWT) is All-Strong, All-Mighty | 40 | وَلَيَنْصُرَنَّ اللهُ مَن يَنْصُرُهُ إِنَّ اللهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيْزٌ |
those who if We establish them in the land, they establish the prayer and give the obligatory tax | الَّذِيْنَ إِن مَّكَّنَّاهُم فِى الأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ
and they enjoin the right and forbid the wrong and for Allah (SWT) is the end of the matters | 41 | وَأَمَرُوا بِالمَعْرُوْفِ وَنَهَوا عَنِ المُنكَرِ وَلِلَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الأُمُورِ |
and if they deny you then certainly denied before them the people of Nuh (AS) and Aad and Thamud | 42 | وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَد كَذَّبَت قَبْلَهُم قَوْمُ نُوْحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُوْدُ |
and the people of Ebrahim (AS) and the people of Lut (AS) | 43 | وَقَوْمُ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوْطٍ |
and the inhabitants of Madyan and Musa (AS) was denied so I granted respite to the disbelievers | وَأَصْحَابُ مَدْيَنَ وَكُذِّبَ مُوْسَى فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ
then I seized them and how was My punishment | 44 | ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُم فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيْرِ |
and how many of a township We destroyed it while it was doing wrong so it is fallen into ruin | فَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ فَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا
and (how many) an abandoned well and (how many) a lofty castle (palace) | 45 | وَبِئْرٍ مُّعَطَّلَةٍ وَقَصْرٍ مَّشِيْدٍ |
so have not they travelled in the land and is for them hearts they reason with it | أَفَلَمْ يَسِيْرُوا فِى الأَرْضِ فَتَكُوْنَ لَهُمْ قُلُوْبٌ يَعْقِلُوْنَ بِهَآ
or ears they hear with it? verily the eyes do not go blind | أَوْ ءَاذَانٌ يَسْمَعُوْنَ بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الأَبْصَارُ
but the hearts which are in the breasts go blind | 46 | وَلَكِن تَعْمَى القُلُوْبُ الَّتِى فِى الصُّدُوْرِ |
and they ask you to hasten on the punishment, but not will Allah (SWT) fail in His promise | وَيَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَكَ بِالعَذَابِ وَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللهُ وَعْدَهُ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ
and indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count | 47 | وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّوْنَ |
and how many of a town I gave respite to it while it was doing wrong then I seized it and to me is the destination | 48 | وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَيَّ المَصِيْرُ |
Say, “O people, only I am to you a clear warner” | 49 |
So, those who believe and do righteous deeds, for them is forgiveness and a noble provision | 50 |
and those who strove against Our verses to frustrate them, those are the companions of the hellfire | 51 | وَالَّذِيْنَ سَعَوا فِى ءَايَاتِنَا مُعَاجِزِيْنَ أُوْلَآئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الجَحِيْمِ |
and not We sent from before you any messenger and not a prophet but when he recited | وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُوْلٍ وَلَا نَبِيٍّ إِلَّآ إِذَا تَمَنَّى
Satan threw in his recitation, but Allah (SWT) abolishes what Satan throws |
then Allah (SWT) will establish His verses and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 52 | ثُمَّ يُحْكِمُ اللهُ ءَايَاتِهِ وَللهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ |
that He may make what Satan throws a trial for those who in their hearts is a disease | لِّيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِى الشَّيْطَانُ فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِيْنَ فِى قُلُوْبِهِم مَّرَضٌ
and their hearts are hardened and indeed, the wrongdoers are surely, in opposition, far | 53 | وَالقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوْبُهُم وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِيْنَ لَفِى شِقَاقٍ بَعِيْدٍ |
and that may know those who have been given the knowledge that it is the truth from your Lord | وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا العِلْمَ أَنَّهُ الحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ
and they believe in it and their hearts may humbly submit to it and indeed, Allah (SWT) is surely the guide of | فَيُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُ قُلُوْبُهُمْ وَإِنَّ اللهَ لَهَادِ
those who believe to a straight path | 54 | الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ |
and those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt about it until the hour comes to them unexpectedly | وَلَا يَزَالُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا فِى مِرْيَةٍ مِّنْهُ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً
or comes to them the punishment of a barren day | 55 | أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيْمٍ |
The sovereignty that day will be for Allah (SWT), He will judge between them | الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ
so, those who believe and did righteous deeds will be in gardens of delight | 56 | فَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فِى جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيْمِ |
and those who disbelieved and denied Our verses, then those, for them will be a humiliating punishment | 57 | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِئَايَاتِنَا فَأُوْلَآئِكَ لَهُم عَذَابٌ مُّهِيْنٌ |
and those who emigrated in the way of Allah (SWT) then were killed or died surely, Allah (SWT) will provide them | وَالَّذِيْنَ هَاجَرُوا فِى سَبِيْلِ اللهِ ثُمَّ قُتِلُوا أَوْ مَاتُوا لَيَرْزُقَنَّهُمُ اللهُ
an excellent provision and indeed, Allah (SWT) surely, He is the best of the providers | 58 | رِزْقًا حَسَنًا وَإِنَّ اللهَ لَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِيْنَ |
Surely, He will admit them to an entrance they will be pleased with it | لَيُدْخِلَنَّهُم مُّدْخَلًا يَرْضَوْنَهُ
and indeed, Allah (SWT) is surely All-Knowing, Most-Forbearing | 59 | وَإِنَّ اللهَ لَعَلِيْمٌ حَلِيْمٌ |
That and whoever has retaliated with the like of what he was made to suffer by it then he was oppressed on him | ذَلِكَ وَمَن عَاقَبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوْقِبَ بِهِ ثُمَّ بُغِيَ عَلَيْهِ
Allah (SWT) will surely help him indeed, Allah (SWT) is surely Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving | 60 |
61 | ||
that is because Allah SWT, He is the Truth and that which they call upon other than Him | ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللهَ هُوَ الحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُوْنَ مِن دُوْنِهِ
it is falsehood and that Allah SWT, He is Exalted, Great | 62 | هُوَ البَاطِلُ وَأَنَّ اللهَ هُوَ العَلِيُّ الكَبِيْرُ |
63 | ||
belongs to Him whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth | لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ
and indeed Allah SWT is Rich (free from need and want), the Praiseworthy | 64 | وَإِنَّ اللهَ لَهُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيْدُ |
76 | ||
O you who believe! bow and prostrate and worship your Lord |
and do good that you may be successful | 77 | وَافْعَلُوا الْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ |
and strive toward Allah (SWT) with a sincere striving | وَجَاهِدُوا فِى اللهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ
He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty |
the religion of your father, Ebrahim (AS), He named you Muslims from before and in this | مِّلَّةَ أَبِيْكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ المُسْلِمِيْنَ مِن قَبْلُ وَفِى هَذَا
that the Messenger may be a witness over you, and you may be witnesses over mankind | لِيَكُوْنَ الرَّسُوْلُ شَهِيْدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُوْنُوا شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ
so, establish the prayer and pay the obligatory tax and hold fast to Allah (SWT) | فَأَقِيْمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِاللهِ
He is your Protector, an excellent Protector and an excellent Helper | 78 |
