Chapter 25
Chapter 25 of the holy Quran with full Arabic text and English translation (Surah Al-Furqan – سُوْرَةُ الفُرْقَانِ – The criterion)
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Eternally Merciful
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ
| Part 18 / Chapter 25 | Chapter 25 / قَدْ أَفْلَحَ المُؤْمِنُوْنَ | |
| Blessed is Who sent down the Criterion to His slave | تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ الفُرْقَانَ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ | |
| that he may be a warner to mankind | 1 | لِيَكُوْنَ لِلْعَالَمِيْنَ نَذِيْرًا |

| and not We sent before you from Messengers except that they | وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ المُرْسَلِيْنَ إِلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ | |
| certainly, ate food and walked in the markets | لَيَأْكُلُوْنَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُوْنَ فِى الأَسْوَاقِ | |
| and We have made some of you, a trial for others | وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً | |
| will you have patience? and your Lord is All-Seeing | 20 | أَتَصْبِرُوْنَ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيْرًا |
| Part 19 / Chapter 25 | Chapter 25 / وَقَالَ الَّذِيِنَ لَا يَرْجُوْنَ لِقَآئَنَا | |
| and those who expect not the meeting with Us said, “why the angels are not sent down to us | وَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَرْجُوْنَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا المَلَآئِكَةُ | |
| or we see our Lord?” indeed, they have become arrogant within themselves | أَوْ نَرَى رَبَّنَا لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فِى أَنْفُسِهِمْ | |
| and they are insolent with a great insolence | 21 | وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِيْرًا |
| indeed he led me away from the rememberance (reminder) after it came to me | لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِي | |
| as Satan is to man a traitor (deserter – forsaker) | 29 | وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنْسَانِ خَذُوْلًا |
| and when it is said to them, “prostrate to the Most Merciful” they say, “who is the Most Merciful? | وَإِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّحْمَانِ قَالُوا مَا الرَّحْمَانُ | |
| shall we prostrate to who you command us?” so it only increases them, in aversion | 60 | أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا |
| 76 | ||
| say, “my Lord will not care for you, if not your prayer (seeking-invocation) | قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُوا بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ | |
| but verily, you have denied so, soon will be, the inevitable | 77 | فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُوْنُ لِزَامًا |
