Chapter 4
Chapter 4 of the holy Quran with full Arabic text and English translation (Surah An-Nisa – سُوْرَةُ النِّسَآءِ – The Women)
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Eternally Merciful
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Part 4 / Chapter 4 | Verse | Chapter 4 / لَن تَنَا لُوا البِرَّ |
O mankind! be mindful of your Lord who created you from a single soul | يَآ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ | |
and He created from it, its mate and from them both, He dispersed many men and women | وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيْرًا وَنِسَآءً | |
and be mindful of Allah (SWT) who you (all) ask from Him and the wombs | وَاتَّقُوا اللهَ الَّذِي تَسَآءَلُوْنَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ | |
Indeed Allah (SWT) is over you, Ever Watchful | 1 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيْبًا |
and give the orphans their possessions (wealth) and do not exchange the bad for the good | وَءَاتُوا اليَتَامَى أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَلَا تَتَبَدَّلُوا الخَبِيْثَ بِالطَّيِّبِ | |
and do not consume the wealth into your wealth, indeed, it is a big sin | 2 | وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَى أَمْوَالِكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حُوْبًا كَبِيْرًا |
and if you fear that you will not act justly with the orphans | وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تُقْسِطُوا فِي اليَتَامَى | |
then marry what is good to you from the women two or three or four | فَانْكِحُوا مَا طَابَ لَكُمْ مِّنَ النِّسَآءِ مَثْنَى وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ | |
but if you fear that not you can be just then one or what your right hand possesses | فَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا فَوَاحِدَةً أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ | |
that is nearer (more suitable) that you may not incline | 3 | ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَلَّا تَعُوْلُوا |
and give the women their dowry graciously and if they remit to you of anything | وَءَاتُوا النِّسَآءَ صَدُقَاتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةً فَإِنْ طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ | |
of it on their own then take it (eat-consume) satisfied, at ease | 4 | مِنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوْهُ هَنِيْئًا مَّرِيْئًا |
And give not to the foolish your property which Allah (SWT) made for you a means of support | وَلَا تُؤْتُوا السُّفَهَآءَ أَمْوَالَكُمُ الَّتِي جَعَلَ اللهُ لَكُمْ قِيَامًا | |
so, provide them from it and clothe them and say for them kind words | 5 | وَارْزُقُوْهُمْ فِيْهَا وَاكْسُوْهُمْ وَقُوْلُوا لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوْفًا |
and test the orphans until when they reach marriage | وَابْتَلُوا اليَتَامَى حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغُوا النِّكَاحَ | |
then if you perceive in them sound judgement, then release to them their property | فَإِنْ ءَانَسْتُم مِّنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَادْفَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ | |
and don’t consume it extravagantly and hastily that they grow up and whoever is rich | وَلَا تَأْكُلُوْهَآ إِسْرَافًا وَبِدَارًا أَن يَّكْبَرُوا وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِيًّا | |
then let him refrain and whoever is poor then let him eat in a fair manner | فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ وَمَن كَانَ فَقِيْرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالمَعْرُوْفِ | |
and when you release to them their property, then take witnesses on them | فَإِذَا دَفَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فَأَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِمْ | |
and upon Allah (SWT) sufficed the accounting (reckoning) | 6 | وَكَفَى بِاللهِ حَسِيْبًا |
a share belongs to the men from what the parents and relatives left | لِلرِّجَالِ نَصِيْبٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ الوَالِدَانِ وَالأَقْرَبُوْنَ | |
and a share belongs to the women from what the parents and relatives left | وَلِلنِّسَآءِ نَصِيْبٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ الوَالِدَانِ وَالأَقْرَبُوْنَ | |
from what from it was little or much a share obligatory | 7 | مِمَّا قَلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ كَثُرَ نَصِيْبًا مَّفْرُوْضًا |
and when the people of near and the orphans and the needy are present for the division | وَإَذَا حَضَرَ القِسْمَةَ أُوْلُوا القُرْبَى وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنُ | |
then provide them from it and say to them kind words | 8 | فَارْزُقُوْهُمْ مِنْهُ وَقُوْلُوْ لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوْفًا |
and let those who if they left from behind them weak offspring fear | وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِيْنَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَافًا | |
they would have feared about them so let them fear Allah (SWT) and let them say right words | 9 | خَافُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللهَ وَلْيَقُوْلُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيْدًا |
Surely, those who consume the property of the orphan unjustly (wrongfully) | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَأْكُلُوْنَ أَمْوَالَ اليَتَامَى ظُلْمًا | |
only they consume into their bellies fire, and they will soon burn in a blazing fire | 10 | إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُوْنَ فِيْ بُطُوْنِهِمْ نَارًا وَسَيَصْلُوْنَ سَعِيْرًا |
Allah (SWT) instructs you concerning your children belonging to the male like a portion for two females | يُوْصِيْكُمُ اللهُ فِي أَوْلَادِكُمْ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ | |
but if there are women, more than two then for them two thirds of what he left | فَإِنْ كُنَّ نِسَآءً فَوْقَ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ | |
but if there is only one then for her half and for his parents for each one of them | وَإِنْ كَانَتْ وَاحِدَةً فَلَهَا النِّصْفُ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ | |
a sixth of what he left if, is for him a child | مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ | |
and if not is for him a child and his parents inherit it then for his mother is a third | فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُ وَلَدٌ وَوَرِثَهُ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ الثُّلُثُ | |
and if are for him siblings then for his mother is a sixth after any will | فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُ إِخْوَةٌ فَلِأُمِّهِ السُّدُسُ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ | |
he has made with it or any debt | يُوْصِى بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ | |
your parents and your children, not you know which of them is nearer to you in benefit | ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُوْنَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعًا | |
an obligation from Allah (SWT) truly Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 11 | فَرِيْضَةً مِّنَ اللهِ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا |
and for you is half of what your spouse’s left if not is for them a child | وَلَكُمْ نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ أَزْوَاجُكُمْ إِنْ لَّمْ يَكُنْ لَّهُنَّ وَلَدٌ | |
but if is for them a child then for you is a fourth of what they left | فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُنَّ وَلَدٌ فَلَكُمُ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْنَ | |
from after any will they made for it or any debt | مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوْصِيْنَ بِهَآ أَوْدَيْنٍ | |
and for them is a fourth of what you left if not is for you a child | وَلَهُنَّ الرُّبُعُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَّكُمْ وَلَدٌ | |
but if is for you a child, then for them, the eight of what you left from after | فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ وَلَدٌ فَلَهُنَّ الثُّمُنُ مِمَّا تَرَكْتُمْ مِّنْ بَعْدِ | |
any will you made for it or any debt | وَصِيَّةٍ تُوْصُوْنَ بِهَآ أَوْدَيْنٍ | |
and if is a man whose wealth is to be inherited has no parent or child or women | وَإِنْ كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُوْرَثُ كَلَالَةً أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ | |
and for him is a brother or a sister | وَلَهُ أَخٌ أَوْ أُخْتٌ | |
then for each one of the two is a sixth but if they are more than that | فَلِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ فَإِنْ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ | |
then they are partners in a third from after any will was made for it or any debt | فَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فِي الثُّلُثِ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوْصَى بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ | |
without harm | غَيْرَ مُضَآرٍ | |
an ordinance from Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, Most-Forbearing | 12 | وَصِيَّةً مِّنَ اللهِ وَاللهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَلِيْمٌ |
These are the limits of Allah (SWT) and who obeys Allah (SWT) and His messenger | تِلْكَ حُدُوْدُ اللهِ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللهَ وَرَسُوْلَهُ | |
He will admit him into gardens flowing from under them, rivers | يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِى مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ | |
abiding in it forever and that is the great success | 13 | خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا وَذَلِكَ الفَوْزُ العَظِيْمُ |
and whoever disobeys Allah (SWT) and His messenger and transgresses His limits | وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللهَ وَرَسُوْلَهُ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُوْدَهُ | |
He will admit him into the fire, abiding therein forever and for him is a humiliating punishment | 14 | يُدْخِلْهُ نَارًا خَالِدًا فِيْهَا وَلَهُ عَذَابٌ مُّهِيْنٌ |
and those who commit immorality from your women | وَالَّاتِي يَأْتِيْنَ الفَاحِشَةَ مِنْ نِسَآئِكُمْ | |
then call to witness four among you | فَاسْتَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةً مِّنْكُمْ | |
and if they testify then confine them in the houses | فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا فَأَمْسِكُوْهُنَّ فِي البُيُوْتِ | |
until death comes to them, or Allah (SWT) makes for them a way | 15 | حَتَّى يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ المَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيْلًا |
and the two who commit it among you then harm them both | وَالَّذَانِ يَأْتِيَانِهَا مِنْكُمْ فَئَاذُوْهُمَا | |
but if they repent and correct themselves then turn away from both of them | فَإِنْ تَابَ وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمَا | |
indeed, Allah (SWT) is Ever Accepting of repentance, Most-Merciful | 16 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيْمًا |
only repentance to Allah (SWT) for those who do the evil in ignorance | إِنَّمَا التَّوْبَةُ عَلَى اللهِ لِلَّذِيْنَ يَعْمَلُوْنَ السُّوءَ بِجَهَالَةٍ | |
then they repent from soon after, for those Allah (SWT) will turn to them | ثُمَّ يَتُوْبُوْنَ مِنْ قَرِيْبٍ فَأُوْلَآئِكَ يَتُوْبُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ | |
and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 17 | وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا |
and not the repentance for those who do the evil deeds | وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِيْنَ يَعْمَلُوْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ | |
until when death approaches one of them | حَتَّى إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ | |
he says, “Indeed, I repent now” and not those who die while they are disbelievers | قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الئَانَ وَلَا الَّذِيْنَ يَمُوْتُوْنَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ | |
those, We have prepared for them a painful punishment | 18 | أُوْلَآئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيْمًا |
O you who believe! not lawful for you to inherit the women forcefully | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَرِثُوا النِّسَآءَ كَرْهًا | |
and not you constrain them to take a part of what you gave them | وَلَا تَعْضُلُوْهُنَّ لِتَذْهَبُوا بِبَعْضِ مَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوْهُنَّ | |
except that they commit open immorality and live with them with kindness | إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْتِيْنَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ وَعَاشِرُوْهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ | |
but if you dislike them then perhaps that you dislike a thing | فَإِنْ كَرِهْتُمُوْهُنَّ فَعَسَى أَنْ تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا | |
and Allah (SWT) made in it much good | 19 | وَيَجْعَلَ اللهُ فِيْهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيْرًا |
and if you intend replacing a wife in place of a wife | وَإِنْ أَرَدْتُّمُ اسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجٍ مَّكَانَ زَوْجٍ | |
and you gave one of them a great amount of wealth, then don’t take anything from it | وَءَاتَيْتُمْ إِحْدَاهُنَّ قِنْطَارًا فَلَا تَأْخُذُوا مِنْهُ شَيْئًا | |
will you take it slandering and openly sinning? | 20 | أَتَأْخُذُونَهُ بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُّبِيْنًا |
and how you take it when surely part of you has gone to another | وَكَيْفَ تَأْخُذُوْنَهُ وَقَدْ أَفْضَى بَعْضُكُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ | |
and they took from you a strong covenant | 21 | وَأَخَذْنَ مِنْكُمْ مِّيْثَاقًا غَلِيْظًا |
and do not marry from women whom your fathers married | وَلَا تَنْكِحُوا مَا نَكَحَ ءَابَآءُكُمْ مِّنَ النِّسَآءِ | |
except what indeed passed | إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ | |
indeed, it was an immorality and hateful and an evil way | 22 | إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَمَقْتًا وَسَآءَ سَبِيْلًا |
Forbidden to you your mothers and your daughters and your sisters and your father’s sisters | حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ وَعَمَّاتُكُمْ | |
and your mother’s sisters and daughters of brother’s and daughters of sister’s and | وَخَلَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ الأَخِ وَبَنَاتُ الأُخْتِ | |
and your mothers who nursed you and your sisters from the nursing | وَأُمَّهَاتُكُمُ الَّاتِي أَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ مِّنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ | |
and mothers of your wives and your stepdaughters who are in your guardianship | وَأُمَّهَاتُ نِسَآءِكُمْ وَرَبَآئِبُكُمُ الَّاتِي فِي حُجُوْرِكُمْ | |
from your women whom you entered into them | مِّنْ نِسَآئِكُمُ الَّاتِي دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ | |
but if you did not enter into them, then there is no sin on you | فَإِنْ لَّمْ تَكُوْنُوا دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ | |
and wives of your sons who are from your loins | وَحَلَآئِلُ أَبْنَآئِكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ أَصْلَابِكُمْ | |
and that you gather between two sisters except what has passed before | وَأَنْ تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الأُخْتَيْنِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ | |
indeed, Allah (SWT) is Most-Forgiving, Most Merciful | 23 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا |
Part 5 / Chapter 4 | Chapter 4 / وَالمُحْصَنَاتُ | |
and the chaste (married) from the women except who your right hands possess | وَالمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ النِّسَآءِ إِلَّا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ | |
the book (decree) of Allah (SWT) upon you and lawful to you what is beyond that | كِتَابَ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ مَّا وَرَآءَ ذَلِكُمْ | |
that you seek with your wealth intending to guard (chaste) without lust | أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ مُّحْصِنِيْنَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِيْنَ | |
so, what you enjoyed of it from them then give them their obligatory reward (bridal due) | فَمَا اسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْهُنَّ فَئَاتُوْهُنَّ أُجُوْرَهُنَّ فَرِيْضَةً | |
and no sin upon you in what you agree of it from beyond the obligation | وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيْمَا تَرَاضَيْتُمْ بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ الفَرِيْضَةِ | |
indeed, Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 24 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا |
and who among you is not able to afford to marry the chaste women | وَمَنْ لَّمْ يَسْتَطِعْ مِنْكُمْ طَوْلًا أَنْ يَنْكِحَ المُحْصَنَاتِ | |
believing women then from what your right hand possesses from your believing slave girls | المُؤْمِنَاتِ فَمِن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ مِّنْ فَتَيَاتِكُمُ المُؤْمِنَاتِ | |
and Allah (SWT) knows best about your faith some of you from others | وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِإِيْمَانِكُمْ بَعْضُكُمْ مِّنْ بَعْضٍ | |
then marry them with the permission of their family and give them their bridal due in a fair manner | فَانْكِحُوهُنَّ بِإِذْنِ أَهْلِهِنَّ وَءَاتُوْهُنَّ أُجُوْرَهُنَّ بِالمَعْرُوْفِ | |
chaste, not one who is immoral and not one who takes secret lovers | مُحْصَنَاتٍ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحَاتٍ وَلَا مُتَّخِذَاتِ أَخْدَانٍ | |
then when they are married, and they commit immorality | فَإِذَآ أُحْصِنَّ فَإِنْ أَتَيْنَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ | |
then for them half what is on the chaste women of the punishment | فَعَلَيْهِنَّ نِصْفُ مَا عَلَى المُحْصَنَاتِ مِنَ العَذَابِ | |
that is for who fears to be distressed (suffer) among you | ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِيَ العَنَتَ مِنْكُمْ | |
and that you be patient is better for you and Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 25 | وَأَنْ تَصْبِرُوا خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَاللهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
Allah (SWT) wishes to make clear to you and guide you to the ways of those from before you | يُرِيْدُ اللهُ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَيَهْدِيَكُمْ سُنَنَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ | |
and to accept repentance from you and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 26 | وَيَتُوْبَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاللهُ عَلِيْمٌ حَكِيْمٌ |
and Allah (SWT) wishes to accept repentance from you | وَاللهُ يُرِيْدُ أَنْ يَتُوْبَ عَلَيْكُمْ | |
and those who follow the desires wish that you deviate a great deviating | 27 | وَيُرِيْدُ الَّذِيْنَ يَتَّبِعُوْنَ الشَّهَوَاتِ أَنْ تَمِيْلُوا مَيْلًا عَظِيْمًا |
Allah (SWT) wishes to lighten for you as man was created weak | 28 | يُرِيْدُ اللهُ أَنْ يُخَفِّفَ عَنْكُمْ وَخُلِقَ الإِنْسَانُ ضَعِيْفًا |
O you who believe! do not consume your wealth between you in futility (unjustly) | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَكُمْ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْبَاطِلِ | |
except that there be business among you (pleasing) upon mutual consent | إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُوْنُوا تِجَارَةً عَنْ تَرَاضٍ مِّنْكُمْ | |
and do not kill yourselves indeed, Allah (SWT) is to you Most Merciful | 29 | وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيْمًا |
and who does that, transgressing and oppressing | وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ عُدْوَانًا وَظُلْمًا | |
then soon We will burn him in the fire and that is easy for Allah (SWT) | 30 | فَسَوْفَ نُصْلِيْهِ نَارًا وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللهِ يَسِيْرًا |
If you avoid the big of what you are forbidden from it | إِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا كَبَآئِرَ مَا تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ | |
We will remove from you your evil deeds and We will admit you a noble admittance | 31 | نُكَفِّرْ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَنُدْخِلْكُمْ مُّدْخَلًا كَرِيْمًا |
and do not wish for what Allah (SWT) bestowed with it some of you over others | وَلَا تَتَمَنَّوا مَا فَضَّلَ اللهُ بِهِ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ | |
for men a portion from what they earned | لِلرِّجَالِ نَصِيْبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَسَبُوا | |
and for women a portion from what they earned | وَلِلنِّسَآءِ نَصِيْبٌ مِّمَّا اكْتَسَبْنَ | |
and ask Allah (SWT) from His bounty | وَاسْأَلُوا اللهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ | |
indeed Allah (SWT) is over everything All-Knowing | 32 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمًا |
and for all We have made heirs of what the parents and the relatives left | وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَالِيَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُوْنَ | |
and those your right hands (oaths) pledged then give them their share | وَالَّذِيْنَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَئَاتُوْهُمْ نَصِيْبَهُمْ | |
indeed, Allah (SWT) is over everything a Witness | 33 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيْدًا |
The men are custodians (protectors) of the women | الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُوْنَ عَلَى النِّسَآءِ | |
because Allah (SWT) favored (bestowed) some of them over others | بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ | |
and because they spend from their wealth | وَبِمَآ أَنْفَقُوا مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ | |
so, the righteous women are obedient, guarding in the unseen what Allah (SWT) guards | فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللهُ | |
and those you fear their ill conduct then advise them and avoid them | وَالَّاتِي تَخَافُوْنَ نُشُوْزَهُنَّ فَعِظُوْهُنَّ وَاهْجُرُوْهُنَّ | |
in the bed and (finally) strike them (lightly) | فِي المَضَاجِعِ وَاضْرِبُوهُنَّ | |
then if they obey you then do not seek against them a way | فَإِنْ أَطَعْنَكُمْ فَلَا تَبْغُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ سَبِيْلًا | |
indeed Allah (SWT) is Most High, Most Great | 34 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلِيًّا كَبِيْرًا |
and if you fear dissension between the two then send an arbitrator from his family | وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَابْعَثُوا حَكَمًا مِّنْ أَهْلِهِ | |
and an arbitrator from her family if they both want reconciliation | وَحَكَمًا مِّنْ أَهْلِهَآ إِنْ يُرِيْدَآ إِصْلَاحًا | |
Allah (SWT) will cause reconciliation between both of them indeed Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Aware | 35 | يُوَفِّقِ اللهُ بَيْنَهُمَآ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا خَبِيْرًا |
and worship Allah (SWT) and do not associate with Him anything | وَاعْبُدُوا اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا | |
and with your parents be excellent and with the relatives and the orphans and the needy | وَبِالوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَبِذِي القُرْبَى وَاليَتَامَى وَالمَسَاكِيْنِ | |
and the near neighbor and the distant neighbor | وَالجَارِ ذِي القُرْبَى وَالجَارِ ذِي الجُنُبِ | |
and the companion by your side, the son of the way (wayfarer) and who your right hands possess | وَالصَّاحِبِ بِالجَنْبِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيْلِ وَمَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ | |
indeed Allah (SWT) does not love who is self-deluded boaster | 36 | إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ مُخْتَالًا فَغُوْرًا |
those who withhold and enjoin the people to stinginess | الَّذِيْنَ يَبْخَلُوْنَ وَيَأْمُرُوْنَ النَّاسَ بِالبُخْلِ | |
and conceal what Allah (SWT) gave them from His bounty | وَيَكْتُمُوْنَ مَآ ءَاتَاهُمُ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ | |
and We’ve prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment | 37 | وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ عَذَابًا مُّهِيْنًا |
and those who spend their wealth to be seen by the people | وَالَّذِيْنَ يُنْفِقُوْنَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ رِئَآءَ النَّاسِ | |
and not they believe in Allah (SWT) and not in the last day | وَلَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللهِ وَلَا بِاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ | |
and who has Satan for him as a companion then evil is he as a companion | 38 | وَمَنْ يَكُنِ الشَّيْطَانُ لَهُ قَرِيْنًا فَسَآءَ قَرِيْنًا |
and what is against them if they believe in Allah (SWT) and the last day | وَمَاذَا عَلَيْهِمْ لَوْ ءَامَنُوا بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ | |
and spend from what Allah (SWT) provided them? and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing about them | 39 | وَأَنْفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَهُمُ اللهُ وَكَانَ اللهُ بِهِمْ عَلِيْمًا |
Indeed Allah (SWT) does not wrong the weight of an atom and if there is a good | إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ وَإِنْ تَكُ حَسَنَةً | |
He doubles it and gives from near Him a great reward | 40 | يُضَاعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِنْ لَّدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا |
then how when We bring from every nation a witness | فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيْدٍ | |
and We bring you upon these as a witness? | 41 | وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَآؤُلَآءِ شَهِيْدًا |
that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger will wish | يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُوْلَ | |
if the earth was levelled with them and not they will conceal from Allah (SWT) any statement | 42 | لَوْ تًسَوَّى بِهِمُ الأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُوْنَ اللهَ حَدِيْثًا |
O you who believe! don’t go near the prayer while you are intoxicated | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لَا تَقْرَبُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاَنْتُمْ سُكَارَى | |
until you know what you say and don’t in impurity except when passing a way | حَتَّى تَعْلَمُوا مَا تَقُوْلُوْنَ وَلَا جُنُبًا إِلَّا عَابِرِي سَبِيْلٍ | |
until you have bathed and if you are sick or on a journey | حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلُوا وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَّرْضَى أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ | |
or one of you came from the toilet or you have touched the women | أَوْ جَآءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنْكُمْ مِّنَ الغآئِظِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَآءَ | |
and not you found water then take clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands | فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَآءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيْدًا طَيِّبًا | |
and wipe over your faces and your hands | فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوْهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيْكُمْ | |
indeed Allah (SWT) is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving | 43 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا غَفُوْرًا |
Did you not see to those who were given a portion of the book | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا نَصِيْبًا مِّنَ الكِتَابِ | |
purchasing error and they wish that you stray from the way? | 44 | يَشْتَرُوْنَ الضَّلَالَةَ وَيُرِيْدُوْنَ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا السَّبِيْلَ |
and Allah (SWT) knows better about your enemies and sufficient is Allah (SWT) as a protector | وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِأَعْدَآئِكُمْ وَكَفَى بِاللهِ وَلِيًّا | |
and sufficient is Allah (SWT) as a helper | 45 | وَكَفَى بِاللهِ نَصِيْرًا |
from those who are jews, they distort the words from their places | مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ هَادُوا يُحَرِّفُوْنَ الكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِ | |
and they say, “we hear and we disobey” and “hear not to be heard and “listen to us” | وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَاسْمَعْ غَيْرَ مُسْمَعٍ وَرَاعِنَا | |
twisting their tongues and defaming in the religion and if only they had said, | لَيًّا بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ وَطَعْنًا فِي الدِّيْنِ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا | |
“We hear and obey” and “hear and look at us” certainly it would have been better for them | سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا وَاسْمَعْ وَانْظُرْنَا لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ | |
and more upright but Allah (SWT) cursed them for their disbelieve so, not they believe except a few | 46 | وَأَقْوَمَ وَلَاكِن لَّعَنَهُمُ اللهُ بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ إِلَّا قَلِيْلًا |
O those who were given the book! believe in what We revealed | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا الكِتَابَ ءَامِنُوا بِمَا نَزَّلْنَا | |
confirming what is with you from before that We obliterate faces | مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَامَعَكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّطْمِسَ وُجُوْهًا | |
and turn them on their backs or We curse them like We cursed the companions of the sabbath | فَنَرُدَّهَا عَلَى أَدْبَارِهَآ أَوْ نَلْعَنَهُمْ كَمَا لَعَنَّآ أَصْحَابَ السَّبْتِ | |
and the command of Allah (SWT) is done | 47 | وَكَانَ أَمْرُ اللهِ مَفْعُوْلًا |
Surely, Allah (SWT) does not forgive that partners be associated with Him but He forgives what is other than that | إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُوْنَ ذَلِكَ | |
to whom He pleases, who associates partners with Allah (SWT) then certainly, he has fabricated a great sin | 48 | لِمَنْ يَشَآءُ وَمَنْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللهِ فَقَدِ افْتَرَى إِثْمًا عَظِيْمًا |
did you not see to those who ascribe purity to themselves? | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِيْنَ يُزَكُّوْنَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ | |
nay, Allah (SWT) purifies whom He wishes and not He wrongs even as much as a hair on a date seed | 49 | بَلِ اللهُ يُزَكِّي مَن يَشآءُ وَلَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ فَتِيْلًا |
See how they invent about Allah (SWT) a lie and sufficient is it as a clear sin | 50 | أُنْظُرْ كَيْفَ يَفْتَرُوْنَ عَلَى اللهِ الكَذِبَ وَكَفَى بِهِ إِثْمًا مُّبِيْنًا |
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the book? | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا نَصِيْبًا مِّنَ الكِتَابِ | |
They believe in the superstition and the false deities, and they say of those who disbelieve | يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالجِبْتِ وَالطَّاغُوْتِ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ لِلَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
“These are better guided than those who believe in the way” | 51 | هَآؤُلآءِ أَهْدَى مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا سَبِيْلًا |
Those are whom Allah (SWT) cursed | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللهُ | |
and whom Allah (SWT) curses then not will you find for him a helper | 52 | وَمَنْ يَلْعَنِ اللهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ نَصِيْرًا |
or for them is a share of the kingdom? | أَمْ لَهُمْ نَصِيْبٌ مِّنَ المُلْكِ | |
then not will they give the people even a speck on a date seed | 53 | فَإِذَا لَّا يُؤْتُوْنَ النَّاسَ نَقِيْرًا |
or do they envy the people for what Allah (SWT) gave them of His bounty? | أَمْ يَحْسُدُوْنَ النَّاسَ عَلَى مَآ ءَاتَاهُمُ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ | |
but surely, We gave the family of Ebrahim (AS) the book and the wisdom | فَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَآ ءَالَ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ الكِتَابَ وَالحِكْمَةَ | |
and We gave them a great kingdom | 54 | وَءَاتَيْنَاهُمْ مُّلْكًا عَظِيْمًا |
then among them who believe in him and among them who turn away from him | فَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ ءَامَنَ بِهِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ صَدَّ عَنْهُ | |
and sufficient is hell as a blazing fire | 55 | وَكَفَى بِجَهَنَّمَ سَعِيْرًا |
Truly those who disbelieve in our signs, soon We will burn them in a fire | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا بِئَايَاتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيْهِمْ نَارًا | |
Every time their skins are roasted, We will change them, their skins for other than that | كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُوْدُهُمْ بَدَّلْنَاهُمْ جُلُوْدًا غَيْرَهَا | |
so, they can taste the punishment, indeed Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Wise | 56 | لِيَذُوْقُوا العَذَابَ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَزِيْزًا حَكِيْمًا |
and those who believe and do good deeds We will admit them into gardens | وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ | |
flowing from underneath them rivers, they will live in it forever | تَجْرِي مِنْ تحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَآ أَبَدًا | |
for them in it, pure spouses and We will admit them to shade, shading | 57 | لَهُمْ فِيْهَآ أَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَنُدْخِلُهُمْ ظِلًّا ظَلِيْلًا |
Indeed Allah (SWT) orders you to give the trusts to their families (owners) | إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الأَمَانَاتِ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا | |
and when you judge between people, to judge with fairness (justice) | وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَنْ تَحْكُمُوا بِالعَدْلِ | |
Indeed Allah (SWT), how excellent is what He advises you to it | إِنَّ اللهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُمْ بِهِ | |
Indeed Allah (SWT) is All-Hearing, All-Seeing | 58 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ سَمِيْعًا بَصِيْرًا |
O you who believe! Obey Allah (SWT) and obey the messenger | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا أَطِيْعُوا اللهَ وَأَطِيْعُوا الرَّسُوْلَ | |
and the people of authority among you then if you disagree (dispute) in anything | وَأُوْلِي الأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنْ تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ | |
then refer (return-turn back) it to Allah (SWT) and the messenger if you believe in Allah (SWT) | فَرُدُّوْهُ إِلَى اللهِ وَالرَّسُوْلِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللهِ | |
and the last day, that is good and best for interpretation | 59 | وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيْلًا |
Did you not see to those who claim that they believe in what was revealed to you | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِيْنَ يَزْعُمُوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا بِمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ | |
and what was revealed from before you? | وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ | |
They wish to go for judgement to false deities | يُرِيْدُوْنَ أَنْ يَتَحَاكَمُوا إِلَى الطَّاغُوْتِ | |
and surely, they were ordered to disbelieve (reject) in it | وَقَدْ أُمِرُوا أَنْ يَكْفُرُوا بِهِ | |
and Satan wishes to mislead them a distant misleading | 60 | وَيُرِيْدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلَالًا بَعِيْدًا |
and when it is said to them, “come to what Allah (SWT) revealed and to the messenger” | وَإِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوا إِلَى مَآ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُوْلِ | |
you see the hypocrites turning away from you a turning away | 61 | رَأَيْتَ المُنَافِقِيْنَ يَصُدُّوْنَ عَنْكَ صُدُوْدًا |
So how when a disaster befalls them for what they hands sent forth | فَكَيْفَ إِذَآ أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُّصِيْبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيْهِمْ | |
then they come to you swearing by Allah (SWT) | ثُمَّ جَآءُوْكَ يَحْلِفُوْنَ بِاللهِ | |
“Not we wished except good and reconciliation | 62 | إِنْ أَرَدْنَآ إِلَّا إِحْسَانًا وَتَوْفِيْقًا |
Those are whom Allah (SWT) knows what is in their hearts | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ يَعْلَمُ اللهُ مَا فِي قُلُوْبِهِمْ | |
so, turn away from them and advise them and say to them about their selves a word reaching | 63 | فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَعِظْهُمْ وَقُلْ لَّهُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ قَوْلًا بَلِيْغًا |
and not did We send a messenger except to be obeyed by the permission of Allah (SWT) and if that when | وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُوْلٍ إِلَّا لِيُطَاعَ بِإِذْنِ اللهِ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذْ | |
they wronged themselves, they came to you and sought forgiveness from Allah (SWT) and sought forgiveness | ظَّلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ جَآءُوْكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا اللهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ | |
for them, the messenger, indeed they would have found Allah (SWT) Oft-Returning, Most-Merciful | 64 | لَهُمُ الرَّسُوْلُ لَوَجَدُوا اللهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيْمًا |
But no, by your Lord, not will they believe until they make you judge in what arises between them | فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ حَتَّى يُحَكِّمُوْكَ فِيْمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ | |
then not they find in themselves discomfort about what you decided | ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ | |
and they submit a submitting | 65 | وَيُسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيْمًا |
and if that We decreed on them to “kill yourselves | وَلَوْ أَنَّا كَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنِ اقْتُلُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ | |
or go forth from your homes” not they would have done it except a few among them | أَوِ اخْرُجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِكُم مَّا فَعَلُوْهُ إِلَّا قَلِيْلٌ مِّنْهُمْ | |
and if that they would have done what they were advised with it | وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ فَعَلُوا مَا يُوْعَظُوْنَ بِهِ | |
it would surely have been better for them and a stronger firming | 66 | لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ تَثْبِيْتًا |
and then We certainly would have given them from ourselves a great reward | 67 | وَإِذًا لَّآتَيْنَاهُم مِّن لَّدُنَّآ أَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا |
and We surely would have guided them to a straight path | 68 | وَلَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيْمًا |
and who obeys Allah (SWT) and the messenger then those are with those whom | وَمَن يُطِعِ اللهَ وَالرَّسُوْلَ فَأُوْلَآئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِيْنَ | |
Allah (SWT) favored upon them from the prophets and the truthful and the martyrs | أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَالصِّدِّيْقِيْنَ وَالشُّهَدَآءِ | |
and the righteous and those are excellent companions | 69 | وَالصَّالِحِيْنَ وَحَسُنَ أُوْلَآئِكَ رَفِيْقًا |
that is the bounty from Allah (SWT) and sufficient is Allah (SWT) as the All-Knower | 70 | ذَلِكَ الفَضْلُ مِنَ اللهِ وَكَفَى بِاللهِ عَلِيْمًا |
O you who believe! take your precautions | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا خُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْ | |
then advance in groups or advance all together | 71 | فَانفِرُوا ثُبَاتٍ أَوِ انْفِرُوا جَمِيْعًا |
and indeed, among you certainly who undoubtedly lags behind then if a disaster befalls you | وَإِنَّ مِنْكُمْ لَمَنْ لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّ فَإِنْ أَصَابَتْكُمْ مُّصِيْبَةٌ | |
he said, “Verily Allah (SWT) favored on me when not I was among them present | 72 | قَالَ قَدْ أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَلَيَّ إِذْ لَمْ أَكُنْ مَّعَهُمْ شَهِيْدًا |
and indeed, if befalls you a bounty from Allah (SWT) | وَلَئِنْ أَصَابَكُمْ فَضْلٌ مِّنَ اللهِ | |
certainly, they would undoubtedly say as if not there been between you and between him any affection | لَيَقُوْلَنَّ كَأَنْ لَّمْ تَكُنْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ مَوَدَّةٌ | |
“Oh! I wish I had been among them then I would have attained a great success” | 73 | يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ مَعَهُمْ فَأَفُوْزَ فَوْزًا عَظِيْمًا |
Then let them fight in the way of Allah (SWT) those who sell the life of the world for the hereafter | فَلْيُقَاتِلْ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ الَّذِيْنَ يَشْرُوْنَ الحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالآخِرَةِ | |
and whoever fights in the way of Allah (SWT) and is killed or achieves victory | وَمَنْ يُقَاتِلْ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ فَيُقْتَلْ أَوْ يَغْلِبْ | |
then soon We will give him a great reward | 74 | فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيْهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا |
and what is to you that you don’t fight in the way of Allah (SWT) | وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ | |
while the weak among the men, women and children | وَالمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَآءِ وَالوِلْدَانِ | |
those who say, “Our Lord remove us from this town, it’s oppressive people | الَّذِيْنَ يَقُوْلُوْنَ رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَاذِهِ القَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا | |
make for us from Yourself a protector and make for us from Yourself a helper | 75 | وَاجْعَلْ لَّنَا مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَلْ لَّنَا مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ نَصِيْرًا |
Those who believe, they fight in the way of Allah (SWT) | الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ | |
and those who disbelieve, they fight in the way of the false deities | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِ الطَّاغُوْتِ | |
so, fight the friends of Satan indeed, the plot of Satan is weak | 76 | فَقَاتِلُوا أَوْلِيَآءَ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيْفًا |
Did you not see to those, it was said to them, “Restrain (withhold) your hands | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِيْنَ قِيْلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ | |
and establish (stand up) prayer and give the obligatory tax?” | وَأَقِيْمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتُوا الزَّكَاةَ | |
then when the fighting was ordained on them | فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ القِتَالُ | |
behold (suddenly) a group among them fear men (people) like the fear of Allah (SWT) or greater, fear | إِذَا فَرِيْقٌ مِّنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللهِ أَوْ أَشَدَّ خَشْيَةً | |
and they said, “Our Lord! Why You write (prescribe-ordain) for us the fighting? | وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا القِتَالَ | |
Why not You delay for us to a near term” | لَوْلَآ أَخَّرْتَنَآ إِلَى أَجَلٍ قَرِيْبٍ | |
Say, “Enjoyment of the world is little and the hereafter is better for who fears | قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَلِيْلٌ وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّمَنِ اتَّقَى | |
and not you will be wronged a hair on a date seed” | 77 | وَلَا تُظْلَمُوْنَ فَتِيْلًا |
Wherever you be death will overtake (grasp) you even if you be in lofty towers | أَيْنَمَا تَكُوْنُوا يُدْرِككُمُ المَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُرُوْجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ | |
and if any good befalls them they say, “this is from Allah (SWT)” | وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُوْلُوا هّذِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ | |
and if any evil (bad) befalls them they say, “this is from you” | وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُوْلُوا هّذِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ | |
say, “all (everything) is from Allah (SWT)” so what is with these people | قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِنْدِ اللهِ فَمَا لِهَآؤُلَآءِ القَوْمِ | |
they almost not understand, any statement? | 78 | لَا يَكَادُوْن يَفْقَهُوْنَ حَدِيْثًا |
Whatever from good befalls you is from Allah (SWT) | مّآ أَصَابَكَ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ فَمِنَ اللهِ | |
and whatever from evil (bad) befalls you is from your own selves | وَمَآ أَصَابَكَ مِنْ سَيِّئَةٍ فَمِن نَّفْسِكَ | |
and We have sent you to the people as a messenger and with Allah (SWT) is sufficient as a witness | 79 | وَأَرْسَلْنَاكَ لِلنَّاسِ رَسُوْلًا وَكَفَى بِاللهِ شَهِيْدًا |
He who obeys the messenger then surely, he obeyed Allah (SWT) | مَّن يُطِعِ الرَّسُوْلَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللهَ | |
and he who turns away then not We sent you on them as a guardian | 80 | وَمَنْ تَوَلَّى فَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيْظًا |
and they say, “obedience” then when they go out from with you | وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ طَاعَةٌ فَإِذَا بَرَزُوا مِنْ عِنْدِكَ | |
a group of them plan by night other than that which you say | بَيَّتَ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنْهُمْ غَيْرَ الَّذِي تَقُوْلُ | |
and Allah (SWT) records what they plan by night so, turn away from them | وَاللهُ يَكْتُبُ مَا يُبَيِّتُوْنَ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ | |
and put your trust in Allah (SWT) and sufficient is Allah (SWT) as a Trustee (Guardian) | 81 | وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللهِ وَكَفَى بِاللهِ وَكِيْلًا |
then do they not ponder (consider) on the Quran? and if it were from, with other than Allah (SWT) | أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُوْنَ القُرْءَانَ وَلَوْ كَانَ مِنْ عِنْدِ غَيْرِ اللهِ | |
they would have certainly found in it much contradiction | 82 | لَوَجَدُوا فِيْهِ اخْتِلَافًا كَثِيْرًا |
and when a matter comes to them from the security and the fear, they spread it | وَإِذَا جَآءَهُمْ أَمْرٌ مِّنَ الأَمْنِ أَوِ الخَوْفِ أَذَاعُوا بِهِ | |
and if they referred it to the messenger and to the people of authority among them | وَلَوْ رَدُّوْهُ إِلَى الرَّسُوْلِ وَإِلَى أُوْلِى الأَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ | |
surely, those would have known it who draw correct conclusion from it among them | لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِيْنَ يَسْتَنْبِطُوْنَهُ مِنْهُمْ | |
and if not for the bounty of Allah (SWT) upon them and His mercy | وَلَوْ لَا فَضْلُ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ | |
surely, you would have followed Satan except a few | 83 | لَاتَّبَعْتُمُ الشَّيْطَانَ إِلَّا قَلِيْلًا |
so, fight in the way of Allah (SWT) not you are responsible except for yourself | فَقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ لَا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفْسَكَ | |
and encourage the believers, perhaps Allah (SWT) will restrain the might of those who disbelieve | وَحَرِّضِ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ عَسَى اللهُ أَنْ يَكُفَّ بَأْسَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
and Allah (SWT) is stronger in might and stronger in punishment | 84 | وَاللهُ أَشَدُّ بَأْسًا وَأَشَدُّ تَنْكِيْلًا |
Whoever intercedes a good intercession will have for him a share from it | مَّن يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً حَسَنَةً يَكُن لَّهُ نَصِيْبٌ مِّنْهَا | |
and whoever intercedes a bad intercession will have for him a portion from it | وَمَن يَشْفَعْ شَفَاعَةً سَيِّئَةً يَكُن لَّهُ كِفْلٌ مِّنْهَا | |
and Allah (SWT) is on everything a keeper | 85 | وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّقِيْتًا |
and when you are greeted with a greeting then greet with better than it or return it | وَإِذَا حُيِّيْتُمْ بِتَحِيَّةٍ فَحَيُّوا بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهَآ أَوْ رُدُّوهَآ | |
Indeed Allah (SWT) is over everything one who takes account (Reckoner-Accountant) | 86 | إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَسِيْبًا |
Allah (SWT) no god except Him | اللهُ لَا إِلَاهَ إِلَّا هُوَ | |
Indeed, He will certainly gather you on the day of resurrection, no doubt about it | لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيْهِ | |
and who is truer (more truthful) than Allah (SWT) in a statement? | 87 | وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللهِ حَدِيْثًا |
So, what is with you concerning the hypocrites (that you are) two parties | فَمَا لَكُمْ فِي المُنَافِقِيْنَ فِئَتَيْنِ | |
so, Allah (SWT) cast them back for what they earned | وَاللهُ أَرْكَسَهُمْ بِمَا كَسَبُوا | |
Do you wish that you guide whom Allah (SWT) led astray? | أَتُرِيْدُونَ أَنْ تَهْدُوا مَنْ أَضَلَّ اللهُ | |
and who Allah (SWT) misguides, then not will you find for him a way | 88 | وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ سَبِيْلًا |
They wish if you disbelieve like how they disbelieve so you would be alike | وَدُّوا تَكْفُرُوْنَ كَمَا كَفَرُوا فَتَكُوْنُوْنَ سَوَآءً | |
so, don’t take from them friends (allies) until they migrate to the way of Allah (SWT) | فَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءَ حَتَّى يُحَاجِرُوا فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ | |
but if they turn back then take (seize) them and kill them wherever you find them | فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوا فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوْهُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَدْتُمُوْهُمْ | |
and don’t take from them friend and not helper | 89 | وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْهُمْ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيْرًا |
except those who join to a group between you and between them a treaty | إِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ يَصِلُوْنَ إِلَى قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيْثَاقٌ | |
or they come to you whose hearts restrain to fight you | أَوْ جَآءُوكُمْ حَصِرَتْ صُدُوْرُهُمْ أَنْ يُقَاتِلُوْكُمْ | |
or to fight their people and if Allah (SWT) willed surely, He could’ve empowered them over you | أَوْ يُقَاتِلُوا قَوْمَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ لَسَلَّطَهُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ | |
then surely, they would’ve fought you so if they withdraw from you and don’t fight you | فَلَقَاتَلُوكُمْ فَإِنِ اعْتَزَلُوْكُمْ فَلَمْ يُقَاتِلُوْكُمْ | |
and offer to you, peace then not Allah (SWT) made for you against them a way | 90 | وَأَلْقَوا إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ فَمَا جَعَلَ اللهُ لَكُمْ عَلَيْهُمْ سَبِيْلًا |
soon you will find others wishing that they be secure from you, and they be secure from their people | سَتَجِدُوْنَ ءَاخَرِيْنَ يُرِيْدُوْنَ أَنْ يَأْمَنُوْكُمْ وَيَأْمَنُوا قَوْمَهُمْ | |
Every time they are returned to the temptation, they are cast back into it | كُلَّ مَا رُدُّوا إِلَى الفِتْنَةِ أُرْكِسُوا فِيْهَا | |
so, if not they withdraw from you and offer to you, peace and they restrain their hands | فَإِن لَّمْ يَعْتَزِلُوْكُمْ وَيُلْقُوا إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ وَيَكُفُّوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ | |
then take them and kill them wherever you find them | فَخُذُوْهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوْهُمْ حَيْثُ ثًقِفْتُمُوْهُمْ | |
and those We made for you against them a clear authority | 91 | وَأُوْلَآئِكُمْ جَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانًا مُّبِيْنًا |
and not is for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake | وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَقْتُلَ مُؤْمِنًا إِلَّا خَطَئًا | |
and whoever killed a believer by mistake then freeing a believing slave and blood money must be paid | وَمَنْ قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا خَطَئًا فَتَحْرِيْرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَدِيَةٌ مُسَلَّمَةٌ | |
to his family unless they remit as charity | إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلَّآ أَن يَصَّدَّقُوا | |
but if they were from a people hostile to you and he was a believer | فَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَّكُمْ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ | |
then freeing a believing slave | فَتَحْرِيْرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ | |
and if they were from a people between you and between them was a treaty | وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيْثَاقٌ | |
then blood money payment to his family and freeing of a believing slave | فَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَتَحْرِيْرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ | |
and whoever does not find then fasting of two months consecutively as a repentance from Allah (SWT) | فَمَن لَّم يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةً مِّنَ اللهِ | |
and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 92 | وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا |
and whoever kills a believer intentionally then his recompence is Hell, abiding in it forever | وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَآؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيْهَا | |
and Allah (SWT’s) anger will be on him, and He will curse him, and He has prepared for him a great punishment | 93 | وَغَضِبَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيْمًا |
O you who believe! when you strike out in the way of Allah (SWT) then clarify (investigate) | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا إِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ فَتَبَيَّنُوا | |
and don’t say to whom offers to you, peace, “you are not a believer” | وَلَا تَقُوْلُوا لِمَنْ أَلْقَى إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِنًا | |
seeking transitory gains of the worldly life for with Allah (SWT) are abundant spoils | تَبْتَغُوْنَ عَرَضَ الحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فَعِنْدَ اللهِ مَغَانِمُ كَثِيْرَةٌ | |
like that you were from before, then Allah (SWT) conferred favor upon you so clarify | كَذَالِكَ كُنْتُم مِّن قَبْلُ فَمَنَّ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنُوا | |
surely, Allah (SWT) is over what you do All-Aware | 94 | إِنَّ الله كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرًا |
Not equal the ones who sit from the believers, except those who are disabled | لَّا يَسْتَوِى القَاعِدُوْنَ مِنَ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ غَيْرُ أُوْلِى الضَّرَرِ | |
and the ones who strive in the way of Allah (SWT) with their wealth and themselves | وَالمُجَاهِدُوْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ | |
Allah (SWT) prefers the ones who strive with their wealth and themselves | فَضَّلَ اللهُ المُجَاهِدِيْنَ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَلَى القَاعِدِيْنَ | |
in degrees and to all Allah (SWT) promised the best | دَرَجَةً وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللهُ الحُسْنَى | |
and Allah (SWT) conferred on the ones who strive over the ones who sit a great reward | 95 | وَفَضَّلَ اللهُ المُجَاهِدِيْنَ عَلَى القَاعِدِيْنَ أَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا |
Degrees from Him and forgiveness and mercy and Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 96 | دَرَجَاتٍ مِّنْهُ وَمَغْفِرَةً وَرَحْمَةً وَكَانَ اللهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا |
Surely, those whom the angels take them (their souls) while wronging themselves | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ تَوَفَّاهُمُ المَلَآئِكَةُ ظَالِمِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ | |
they say, “in what (condition) you were?” they say, “we were weak (oppressed) in the earth (world)” | قَالُوا فِيْمَ كُنْتُمْ قَالُوا كُنَّا مُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ فِي الأَرْضِ | |
they say, “was not the earth of Allah (SWT) vast (spacious) so you could emigrate in it?” | قَالُوا أَلَمْ تَكُنْ أَرْضُ اللهِ وَاسِعَةً فَتُهَاجِرُوا فِيْهَا | |
so, those their abode is hell, and it is evil, a destination | 97 | فَأُوْلَآئِكَ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَسَآئَتْ مَصِيْرًا |
except the weak (oppressed) from the men and the women and the children | إِلَّا المُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَآعِ وَالوِلْدَانِ | |
not, are they able to get around (plan) and not they are guided to a way | 98 | لَا يَسْتَطِيْعُوْنَ حِيْلَةً وَلَا يَهْتَدُوْنَ سَبِيْلًا |
Then those perhaps Allah (SWT) will pardon on them, and Allah (SWT) is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving | 99 | فَأُوْلَآئِكَ عَسَى اللهُ أَن يَعْفُوَ عَنْهُمْ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَفُوَّا غَفُوْرًا |
and whoever emigrates in the path of Allah (SWT) he will find in the earth | وَمَنْ يُهَاجِرْ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ يَجِدْ فِي الأَرْضِ | |
many refuge places and abundance and whoever goes forth from his home, an emigrant | مُرَاغَمًا كَثِيْرًا وَسَعَةً وَمَن يَخْرُجْ مِن بَيْتِهِ مُهَاجِرًا | |
to Allah (SWT) and His messenger then death overtakes him | إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُوْلِهِ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ المَوْتُ | |
then certainly, his reward falls upon Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 100 | فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللهِ وَكَانَ اللهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا |
and when you set forth on the earth then blame is not upon you | وَإِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ | |
that you shorten from the prayer if you fear that those who disbelieve may test (try-harm) you | أَن تَقْصُرُوا مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ إِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
surely, the disbelievers are for you an open (clear) enemy | 101 | إِنَّ الكَافِرِيْنَ كَانُوا لَكُمْ عَدُوًّا مُّبِيْنًا |
and when you among them and you stand (lead) for them the prayer | وَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِيهِمْ فَأَقَمْتَ لَهُمُ الصَّلَاةَ | |
then let stand a group among them with you and let them take their arms | فَلْتَقُمْ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنْهُم مَعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوا أَسْلِحَتَهُمْ | |
then when they prostrated then let them be from behind you | فَإِذَا سَجَدُوا فَلْيَكُوْنُوا مِن وَرَآئِكُمْ | |
and let come another group not (yet) prayed then let them pray with you | وَلْيَأْتِ طَآئِفَةٌ أُخْرَى لَمْ يُصَلُّوا فَلْيُصَلُّوا مَعَكَ | |
and let them take their precautions and their arms | وَاليَأْخُذُوا حِذْرَهُمْ وَأَسْلِحَتَهُمْ | |
those who disbelieved wished that you neglect about your arms and your baggage | وَدَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا لَوْ تَغْفُلُوْنَ عَنْ أَسْلِحَتِكُمْ وَأَمْتِعَتِكُمْ | |
so, they can attack you in a single attack and there is no blame upon you | فَيَمِيْلُوْنَ عَلَيْكُم مَّيْلَةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ | |
if was with you any harm because of rain or you are sick | إِنْ كَانَ بِكُمْ أَذًى مِّن مَّطَرٍ أَوْ كُنْتُم مَّرْضَى | |
that you lay down your arms but take your precautions | أَنْ تَضَعُوا أَسْلِحَتَكُمْ وَخُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْ | |
surely, Allah (SWT) has prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment | 102 | إِنَّ اللهَ أَعَدَّ لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ عَذَابًا مُّهِيْنًا |
then when you completed the prayer then remember Allah (SWT) standing and sitting | فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُوْدًا | |
and on your sides but when you are secure then establish the prayer | وَعَلَى جُنُوْبِكُمْ فَإِذَا اطْمَأْنَنْتُمْ فَأَقِيْمُوا الصَّلَاةَ | |
truly the prayer at fixed times is prescribed on the believers | 103 | إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى المُؤْمِنِيْنَ كِتَابًا مَّوْقُوْتًا |
and don’t be weak in pursuing the people, if you are suffering | وَلَا تَهِنُوا فِي ابْتِغَآءِ القَوْمِ إِنْ تَكُوْنُوا تَأْلَمُوْنَ | |
then indeed, they are suffering like what you are suffering while you expect from Allah (SWT) | فَإِنَّهُمْ يَأْلَمُوْنَ كَمَا تَأْلَمُوْنَ وَتَرْجُوْنَ مِنَ اللهِ | |
what they don’t expect, and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 104 | مَا لَا يَرْجُوْنَ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا |
Indeed, We sent down to you the book with the truth that you may judge between the people | إِنَّآ أَنْزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكَ الكِتَابَ بَالحَقِّ لِتَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ | |
with what Allah (SWT) has shown you and don’t be for the deceitful a pleader | 105 | بِمَآ أَرَاكَ اللهُ وَلَا تَكُنْ لِلْخَآئِنِيْنَ خَصِيْمًا |
and seek forgiveness of Allah (SWT) truly Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Mercfiful | 106 | وَاسْتَغْفِرِ اللهَ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا |
and don’t argue for those who deceive themselves | وَلَا تُجَادِلْ عَنِ الَّذِيْنَ يَخْتَانُوْنَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ | |
indeed Allah (SWT) does not love who is treacherous, sinfull | 107 | إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُحِبُّ مَنْ كَانَ خَوَّانًا أَثِيْمًا |
They seek to hide from the people but they hide not from Allah (SWT) | يَسْتَخْفُوْنَ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلَا يَسْتَخْفُوْنَ مِنَ اللهِ | |
and He is with them when they plot by night what not He is pleased of the word | وَهُوَ مَعَهُمْ إِذْ يُبَيِّتُوْنَ مَا لَا يَرْضَى مِنَ القَوْلِ | |
and Allah (SWT) is of what they do All-Encompassing | 108 | وَكَانَ اللهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ مُحِيْطًا |
Here you are those who argue for them in the life of the world | هَآ أَنْتُمْ هَآؤُلَآءِ جَادَلْتُمْ عَنْهُمْ فِي الحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا | |
then who will argue to Allah (SWT) for them on the day of resurrection | فَمَنْ يُجَادِلُ اللهَ عَنْهُمْ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ | |
or who will be for them a defender (lawyer-guardian-manager) | 109 | أَمْ مَّنْ يَكُوْنُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيْلًا |
and whoever does evil or wrongs his soul then seeks forgiveness of Allah (SWT) | وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوْءًا أَوْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرِ اللهَ | |
he will find Allah (SWT) Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 110 | يَجِدِ اللهَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا |
and whoever earns a sin then only he earns it against his soul | وَمَنْ يَكْسِبْ إِثْمًا فَإِنَّمَا يَكْسِبُهُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ | |
and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 111 | وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا |
and whoever earns a fault or a sin then he throws it on an innocent | وَمَنْ يَكْسِبْ خَطِيْئَةً أَوْ إِثْمًا ثُمَّ يَرْمِ بِهِ بَرِيْئًا | |
then surely, he burdened (himself) with a slander and a clear sin | 112 | فَقَدِ احْتَمَلَ بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُّبِيْنًا |
and if not for the bounty of Allah (SWT) upon you and His Mercy | وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللهِ عَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَتُهُ | |
surely a group from them plotted to mislead you but not they mislead except themselves | لَهَمَّتْ طَآئِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُضِلُّوْكَ وَمَا يُضِلُّوْنَ إِلَّآ أَنْفُسَهُمْ | |
and not they harm you in anything | وَمَا يَضُرُّوْنَكَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ | |
and Allah (SWT) revealed to you the book and wisdom | وَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ الكِتَابَ وَالحِكْمَةَ | |
and taught you what you were not knowing and the bounty of Allah (SWT) upon you is great | 113 | وَعَلَّمَكَ مَا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَعْلَمُ وَكَانَ فَضْلُ اللهِ عَلَيْكَ عَظِيْمًا |
There is no good in most of their private talk except who enjoins charity | لَّا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيْرٍ مِّنْ نَجْوَاهُمْ إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ | |
or kindness or making peace (correcting improving) between the people | أَوْ مَعْرُوْفٍ أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ | |
and who does that seeking the pleasure of Allah (SWT) | وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ ابْتِغَآءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللهِ | |
then soon We will give him a great reward | 114 | فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيْهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا |
and whoever opposes the messenger from after what became clear to him of the guidance | وَمَنْ يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُوْلَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الهُدَى | |
and he follows other than the way of the believers | وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيْلِ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ | |
We will turn him to what he turned, and We will burn him in hell and evil it is as a destination | 115 | نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّى وَنُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيْرًا |
Indeed Allah (SWT) won’t forgive that partners be associated with Him | إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ | |
but He forgives what is other than that to whom He wishes | وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُوْنَ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشآءُ | |
and whoever associates partners with Allah (SWT) then certainly he strayed a far straying | 116 | وَمَنْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيْدًا |
Not they invoke from besides Him except female | إِنْ يَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِهِ إِلَّا إِنَاثًا | |
and they invoke except Satan, rebellious | 117 | وَإِنْ يَدْعُوْنَ إِلَّا شَيْطَانًا مَّرِيْدًا |
Allah (SWT) cursed him, and he said, “Indeed I will surely take from your slaves a specified portion” | 118 | لَعَنَهُ اللهُ وَقَالَ لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيْبًا مَفْرُوْضًا |
and indeed, I will certainly mislead them and indeed, I will certainly arouse desires in them | وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمْ وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ | |
and indeed, I will certainly order them so they will surely cut off the ears of cattle | وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ ءَاذَانَ الأَنْعَامِ | |
and indeed, I will certainly order them so they will surely change the creation of Allah (SWT) | وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللهِ | |
and who takes Satan as a friend from besides Allah (SWT) | وَمَنْ يَتَّخِذِ الشَّيْطَانَ وَلِيًّا مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ | |
certainly, he lost a clear loss | 119 | فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًا مُّبِيْنًا |
He promises them and causes them to desire and not Satan promises them except deception | 120 | يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيْهِمْ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلَّا غُرُوْرًا |
Those, their abode is Hell and not will they find from it a place to escape | 121 | أُوْلَآئِكَ مَأْوَاهُمْ حَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يَجِدُوْنَ عَنْهَا مَحِيْصًا |
and those who believe and do righteous deeds, We will admit them into gardens | وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَنُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ | |
rivers flowing from under it, abiding in it forever | تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَا أَبَدًا | |
the promise of Allah (SWT) is truth and who is truer than Allah (SWT) in word? | 122 | وَعْدَ اللهِ حَقًّا وَمَنْ أَصْدَقُ مِنَ اللهِ قِيْلًا |
not by your wishes and not by the wishes of the people of the book | لَيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَآ أَمَانِيِّ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ | |
who does evil will be recompensed for it | مَنْ يَعْمَلْ سُوءًا يُجْزَ بِهِ | |
and not will he find for him from other than Allah (SWT) a friend nor a helper | 123 | وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيْرًا |
and who does from righteous deeds from male or female and he is a believer | وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ | |
then those will enter Paradise and not will they be wronged as much as the speck on a date seed | 124 | فَأُوْلَآئِكَ يَدْخُلُوْنَ الجَنَّةَ وَلَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ نَقِيْرًا |
and who is better in religion than who submits his face to Allah (SWT) and he is a good doer | وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ دِيْنًا مِّمَّنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ | |
and follows the religion of Ebrahim (AS), upright? and Allah (SWT) took Ebrahim (AS) as a friend | 125 | وَاتَّبَعَ مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ حَنِيْفًا وَاتَّخَذَ اللهُ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ خَلِيْلًا |
and belongs to Allah (SWT) whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth | وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ | |
and Allah (SWT) is on everything All-Encompassing | 126 | وَكَانَ اللهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّحِيْطًا |
and they ask you concerning the women, say, “Allah (SWT) explains about them | وَيَسْتَفْتُوْنَكَ فِي النِّسَآءِ قُلِ اللهُ يُفْتِيْكُمْ فِيْهِنَّ | |
and what is recited to you in the book about the orphan girls | وَمَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الكِتَابِ فِي يَتَامَى النِّسَآءِ | |
who not you give them what is ordained for them, while you desire to marry them | الَّتِي لَا تُؤْتُوْنَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُوْنَ أَنْ تَنْكِحُوْهُنَّ | |
and the weak of the children and to stand for orphans with justice | وَالمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ مِنَ الوِلْدَانِ وَأَنْ تَقُوْمُوا لِلْيَتَامَى بِالقِسيْطِ | |
and whatever you do from good, then indeed Allah (SWT) is about it All-Knowing | 127 | وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِهِ عَلِيْمًا |
and if a woman fears from her husband ill conduct or turning away (desertion) | وَإِنِ امْرَأَةٌ خَافَتْ مِنْ بَعْلِهَا نُشُوْزًا أَوْ إِعْرَاضًا | |
then no sin on them both to make peace between them both in reconciliation and reconciliating is better | فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَآ أَنْ يُصْلِحَا بَيْنَهُمَا صُلْحًا وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ | |
and the souls are moved by greed and if you do good and fear (be conscious of Allah (SWT) | وَأُحْضِرَتِ الأَنْفُسُ الشُّحَّ وَإِنْ تُحْسِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا | |
then truly Allah (SWT) is with what you do, All-Aware | 128 | فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرًا |
and not will you be able to be just between women even if you desired | وَلَنْ تَسْتَطِيْعُوا أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا بَيْنَ النِّسَآءِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتُمْ | |
so do not incline a complete inclination then leave her like one clinging (suspended) | فَلَا تَمِيْلُوا كُلَّ المَيْلِ فَتَذَرُوْهَا كَالمُعَلَّقَةِ | |
and if you make peace and fear then truly Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 129 | وَإِنْ تُصْلِحُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا |
and if they both separate, Allah (SWT) will avail both of them from His abundance | وَإِنْ يَتَفَرَّقَا يُغْنِ اللهُ كُلًّا مِّنْ سَعَتِهِ | |
and Allah (SWT) is All-Encompassing, All-Wise | 130 | وَكَانَ اللهُ وَاسِعًا حَكِيْمًا |
and belongs to Allah (SWT) whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth | وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ | |
and indeed, We enjoined those who were given the book from before you and to you | وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذِيْنَ أُوْتُوا الكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ | |
that you fear Allah (SWT) and if you disbelieve then indeed, belongs to Allah (SWT) whatever is in the heavens | أَنِ اتَّقُوا اللهَ وَإِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ | |
and whatever is in the earth and Allah (SWT) is Rich (Free of need-self-sufficient), Worthy of All-Praise | 131 | وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللهُ غَنِيًّا حَمِيْدًا |
and belongs to Allah (SWT) whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth | وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ | |
and Ever All-Sufficient is Allah (SWT) as a Guardian (Disposer of affairs-Trustee-Manager) | 132 | وَكَفَى بِاللهِ وَكِيْلًا |
If He wishes, He can cause you to go away, O people! and bring others | إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ وَيَأْتِ بِئَاخَرِيْنَ | |
and Allah (SWT) is over that All-Powerful | 133 | وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَدِيْرًا |
Who wants the reward of the world then with Allah (SWT) is the reward of the world and the hereafter | مَّنْ كَانَ يُرِيْدُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا فَعِنْدَ اللهِ ثَوَابُ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ | |
and Allah (SWT) is All-Hearing, All-Seeing | 134 | وَكَانَ اللهُ سَمِيْعًا بَصِيْرًا |
O you who believe! be standing firm for justice, witnesses to Allah (SWT) | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا كُوْنُوا قَوَّامِيْنَ بَالقِسْطِ شُهَدَآءَ لِلَّهِ | |
even if against yourselves or the parents and the relatives, if he be rich or poor | وَلَوْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوِ الوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأَقْرَبِيْنَ إِنْ يَكُنْ غَنِيًّا أَوْ فَقِيْرًا | |
for Allah (SWT) is nearer to both of them so don’t follow the desire that you be just | فَاللهُ أَوْلَى بِهِمَا فَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا الهَوَى أَنْ تَعْدِلُوا | |
and if you distort or turn away then indeed, Allah (SWT) is over what you do All-Aware | 135 | وَإِنْ تَلْوُوا أَوْ تُعْرِضُوا فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرًا |
O you who believe! believe in Allah (SWT) and His messenger | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا ءَامِنُوا بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ | |
and the book which He sent down to His messenger and the book which | وَالكِتَابِ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ عَلَى رَسُوْلِهِ وَالكِتَابِ الَّذِي | |
He sent down from before and who disbelieves in Allah (SWT) and His angels and His books and His messengers | أَنْزَلَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بَاللهِ وَمَلَآئِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ | |
and the last day then indeed, he strayed a far (distant) straying | 136 | وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيْدًا |
Indeed, those who believe, then disbelieve, then believe, then disbelieve, | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا ثُمَّ ءَامَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا | |
then increased in disbelief, Allah (SWT) will not forgive them and will not guide them to a way | 137 | ثُمَّ ازْدَادُوا كُفْرًا لَّمْ يَكُنِ اللهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ وَلَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ سَبِيْلًا |
Give news to the hypocrites that for them is a painful punishment | 138 | بَشِّرِ المُنَافِقِيْنَ بِأَنَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيْمًا |
who take the disbelievers as friends from other (instead of) the believers | الَّذِيْنَ يَتَّخِذُوْنَ الكَافِرِيْنَ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِنْ دُوْنِ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ | |
do they seek with them honor? then certainly all the honor belongs to Allah (SWT) | 139 | أَيَبْتَغُوْنَ عِنْدَهُمُ العِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ العِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيْعًا |
and certainly, He sent down to you in the book that | وَقَدْ نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الكِتَابِ أَنْ | |
when you hear the verses of Allah (SWT) being denied by them and ridiculed by them | إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ ءَايَاتِ اللهِ يُكْفَرُ بِهَا وَيُسْتَهْزَأُ بِهَا | |
then don’t sit with them until they engage in a conversation other than it | فَلَا تَقْعُدُوا مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى يَخُوْضُوا فِي حَدِيْثٍ غَيْرِهِ | |
Indeed, you then like them, certainly Allah (SWT) will gather the hypocrites | إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا مِّثْلُهُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ جَامِعُ المُنَافِقِيْنَ | |
and the disbelievers in Hell altogether | 140 | وَالكَافِرِيْنَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ جَمِيْعًا |
Those who wait for you, so if is for you a victory from Allah (SWT) | الَّذِيْنَ يَتَرَبَّصُوْنَ بِكُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فَتْحٌ مِّنَ اللهِ | |
they say, “Were we not with you?” and if was for the disbelievers a share (portion of victory) | قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَّعَكُمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ نَصِيْبٌ | |
they say, “Did not we have advantage over you and (protect) prevent you from the disbelievers?” | قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَسْتَحْوِذْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَنَمْنَعْكُمْ مِّنَ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ | |
and Allah (SWT) will judge between you on the day of resurrection | فَاللهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ | |
and not will Allah (SWT) make for the disbelievers over the believers a way | 141 | وَلَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللهُ لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ عَلَى المُؤْمِنِيْنَ سَبِيْلًا |
Truly, the hypocrites (seek to) deceive Allah (SWT) while He deceives them | إِنَّ المُنَافِقِيْنَ يُخَادِعُوْنَ اللهَ وَهُوَ خَادِعُهُمْ | |
and when they stand up for the prayer, they stand up lazily | وَإِذَا قَامُوا إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ قَامُوا كُسَالَى | |
they want to be seen by men (the people) and not they remember Allah (SWT) except a little | 142 | يُرَآءُوْنَ النَّاسَ وَلَا يَذْكُرُوْنَ اللهَ إِلَّا قَلِيْلًا |
wavering between that, not to these and not to these | مُّذَبْذَبِيْنَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ لَآ إِلَى هَآؤُلَآءِ وَلَآ إِلَى هَآؤُلَآءِ | |
and who Allah (SWT) causes to be led astray then not you will find for him a way | 143 | وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللهُ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ سَبِيْلًا |
O you who believe! take not the disbelievers as friends | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الكَافِرِيْنَ أَوْلِيَآءَ | |
instead of (from other than) the believers | مِنْ دُوْنِ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ | |
Do you want to make for Allah (SWT) against yourselves a clear authority (power-evidence)? | 144 | أَتُرِيْدُوْنَ أَنْ تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَانًا مُّبِيْنًا |
Truly, the hypocrites are in the lowest grade of the fire | إِنَّ المُنَافِقِيْنَ فِي الدَّرْكِ الأَسْفَلِ مِنَ النَّارِ | |
and not will you find for them a helper | 145 | وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُمْ نَصِيْرًا |
except those who repent and correct and hold fast to Allah (SWT) | إِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ تَابُوا وَأَصْلَحُوا وَاعْتَصَمُوا بِاللهِ | |
and are sincere in their religion for Allah (SWT) for those are with the believers | وَأَخْلَصُوا دِيْنَهُمْ لِلّهِ فَأُوْلَآئِكَ مَعَ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ | |
and soon Allah (SWT) will give the believers a great reward | 146 | وَسَوْفَ يُؤْتِ اللهُ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ أَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا |
What Allah (SWT) does (gains) by your punishment if you are grateful and you believe? | مَّا يَفْعَلُ اللهُ بِعَذَابِكُمْ إِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ وَءَامَنْتُمْ | |
And Allah is Ever-Grateful (Appreciative), All-Knowing | 147 | وَكَانَ اللهُ شَاكِرًا عَلِيْمًا |
Part 6 / Chapter 5 | Chapter 5 / لَّا يُحِبُّ اللهُ الجَهْرَ | |
Allah (SWT) does not love speaking loudly of the evil of the word except who is wronged | لَا يُحِبُّ اللهُ الجَهْرَ بِالسُّوءِ مِنَ القَوْلِ إِلَّا مَنْ ظُلِمَ | |
and Allah (SWT) is All-Hearing, All-Knowing | 148 | وَكَانَ اللهُ سَمِيْعًا عَلِيْمًا |
If you disclose the good or conceal it or pardon of an evil | إِنْ تُبْدُوا خَيْرًا أَوْ تُخْفُوْهُ أَوْ تَعْفُوا عَنْ سُوْءٍ | |
then truly Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, All-Powerful | 149 | فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا قَدِيْرًا |
Truly those who disbelieve in Allah (SWT) and His messengers and want to differentiate | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِاللهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَيُرِيْدُوْنَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقُوا | |
between Allah (SWT) and His messengers say, “We believe in a part and disbelieve in a part” | بَيْنَ اللهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَيَقُوْلُوْنَ نُؤْمِنُ بِبَعْضٍ وَنَكْفُرُ بِبَعْضٍ | |
and they want to take between that a way | 150 | وَيُرِيْدُوْنَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذُوا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ سَبِيْلًا |
Those, they are the disbelievers, truly and We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment | 151 | أُوْلآئِكَ هُمُ الكَافِرُوْنَ حَقًا وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ عَذَابًا مُّهِيْنًا |
and those who believe in Allah (SWT) and His messengers and do not differentiate between one among them | وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا بِاللهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَلَمْ يُفَرِّقُوا بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُمْ | |
those soon He will give them their reward and Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 152 | أُوْلَآئِكَ سَوْفَ يُؤْتِيْهِمْ أُجُوْرَهُمْ وَكَانَ اللهُ غَفُوْرًا رَّحِيْمًا |
The people of the book ask you to send down to them a book from the heaven | يَسْئَلُكَ أَهْلُ الكِتَابِ أَنْ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ كِتَابًا مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ | |
then indeed, they asked Moosa (AS) greater than that when they said, “Show us Allah (SWT) in plain sight” | فَقَدْ سَأَلُوا مُوْسَى أَكْبَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالُوا أَرِنَا اللهَ جَهْرَةً | |
so, the lightning took (seized) them for their wrongdoing | فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْ | |
then they took the calf from after the clear signs came to them | ثُمَّ اتَّخَذُوا العِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ البَيِّنَاتُ | |
then We forgave them for that and We gave Moosa (AS) a clear authority | 153 | فَأَفَوْنَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَءَاتَيْنَا مُوْسَى سُلْطَانًا مُّبِيْنًا |
and We raised above (over) them the mount for their covenant | وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ الطُّوْرَ بِمِيْثَاقِهِمْ | |
and We said to them, “Enter the door (in humility) prostrating” | وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ادْخُلُوا البَابَ سُجَّدًا | |
and We said to them, “Do not transgress in the sabbath (Saturday)” and We took from them an earnest covenant | 154 | وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا فِيْ السَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُمْ مِّيْثَاقًا غَلِيْظًا |
Then because of their breaking their covenant and their disbelieve in the signs of Allah (SWT) | فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِّثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِمْ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ | |
and their killing the prophets without right and their saying, “Our hearts are wrapped” | وَقَتْلِهِمُ الأَنْبِيَآءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوْبُنَا غُلْفٌ | |
Nay, Allah (SWT) sealed upon them, for their disbelieve so not they believe except a little | 155 | بَلْ طَبَعَ اللهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ إِلَّا قَلِيْلًا |
and for their disbelieve and their saying about Mariam (RA) a great slander | 156 | وَبِكُفْرِهِمْ وَقَوْلِهِمْ عَلَى مَرْيَمَ بُهْتَانًا عَظِيْمًا |
and their saying, “Truly, we killed the Messiah Isa (AS) son of Maryam (RA), the prophet of Allah (SWT) | وَقَوْلِهِم إِنَّا قَتَلْنَا المَسِيْحَ عِيْسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ رَسُوْلَ اللهِ | |
but not they killed him and not they crucified him, but it was made to appear so to them | وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَكِنْ شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ | |
and indeed, those who differed in it are certainly in doubt about it | وَإِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ اخْتَلَفُوا فِيْهِ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِّنْهُ | |
not for them about it of any knowledge except following assumption and not they killed him, certainly | 157 | مَا لَهُمْ بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِلَّا اتِّبَاعَ الظَّنِّ وَمَا قَتَلُوهُ يَقِيْنًا |
Nay, Allah (SWT) raised him to Him and Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Wise | 158 | بَل رَّفَعَهُ اللهُ إِلَيْهِ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَزِيْزًا حَكِيْمًا |
and not from the people of the book except he must absolutely believe in him before his death | وَإِن مِّنْ أَهْلِ الكِتَابِ إِلَّا لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ | |
and on the day of resurrection he (AS) will be against them a witness | 159 | وَيَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ يَكُوْنُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيْدًا |
then for the wrongdoing of those who were jews, We forbade for them good things that were permitted for them | فَبِظُلْمٍ مِّنَ الَّذِيْنَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ طَيِّبَاتٍ أُحِلَّتْ لَهُمْ | |
because of their hindering from the way of Allah (SWT) many | 160 | وَبِصَدِّهِمْ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ كَثِيْرًا |
and their taking usury while certainly they were forbidden from it, and they consume the wealth of the people | وَأَخْذِهِمُ الرِّبَوا وَقَدْ نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَأَكْلِهِمْ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ | |
with falsehood so We prepared for the disbelievers among them, a painful punishment | 161 | بِالبَاطِلِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيْمًا |
but the ones who are firm among them in the knowledge and the believers, believe | لَّاكِنِ الرَّاسِخُوْنَ فِي العِلْمِ مِنْهُمْ وَالمُؤْمِنُوْنَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ | |
in what was sent down to you and what was sent down from before you and they establish the prayer | بِمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ وَالمُقِيْمِيْنَ الصَّلَوةَ | |
and the ones who give the obligatory tax and the ones who believe in Allah (SWT) and the last day | وَالمُؤْتُوْنَ الزَّكَوةَ وَالمُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ | |
those, soon We will give them a great reward | 162 | أُوْلَآئِكَ سَنُؤْتِيْهِمْ أَجْرًا عَظِيْمًا |
Truly We certainly inspired (revealed) to you like how We revealed to Nuh (AS) and the prophets from after him | إِنَّآ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ كَمَآ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَى نُوْحٍ وَالنَّبِيِّيْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ | |
and We revealed to Ebrahim (AS) and Ismail (AS) and Ishaq (AS) and Yacoob (AS) | وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيْلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوْبَ | |
and the tribes (12 sons of Yacoob) and Isa (AS) and Ayyub (AS-Job) and Yunus (AS-Jonah) and Haroon (AS-Aaron) | وَالأَسْبَاطِ وَعِيْسَى وَأَيُّوْبَ وَيُوْنُسَ وَهَارُوْنَ | |
and Suleiman (AS) and We gave Dawood (AS) the book (of Psalms) | 163 | وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُوْدَ زَبُوْرًا |
and messengers indeed, We mentioned them to you from before | وَرُسُلًا قَدْ قَصَصْنَاهُمْ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ | |
and messengers We did not mention them to you and Allah (SWT) spoke to Moosa (AS) a speaking | 164 | وَرُسُلًا لَّمْ نَقْصُصْهُمْ عَلَيْكَ وَكَلَّمَ اللهُ مُوْسَى تَكْلِيْمًا |
Messengers, bearers of glad tidings and warner’s so that not is for mankind against Allah (SWT) any argument | رُّسُلًا مُّبَشِّرِيْنَ وَمُنْذِرِيْنَ لِئَلَّا يَكُوْنَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى اللهِ حُجَّةٌ | |
after the messengers and Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Wise | 165 | بَعْدَ الرُّسُلِ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَزِيْزًا حَكِيْمًا |
but Allah (SWT) bears witness to what He revealed to you, He revealed it with His knowledge | لَّاكِنِ اللهُ يَشْهَدُ بِمَآ أَنْزَلَ إِلَيْكَ أَنْزَلَهُ بِعِلْمِهِ | |
and the angels bear witness and sufficient is Allah (SWT) as a witness | 166 | وَالمَلَآئِكَةُ يَشْهَدُوْنَ وَكَفَى بِاللهِ شَهِيْدًا |
Indeed, those who disbelieve and hinder from the path of Allah (SWT) | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ | |
certainly, they strayed a far (distant) straying | 167 | قَدْ ضَلُّوا ضَلَالًا بَعِيْدًا |
Indeed, those who disbelieve and did wrong not will Allah (SWT) forgive them | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا وَظَلَمُوا لَمْ يَكُنِ اللهُ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ | |
and not He will guide them to a way | 168 | وَلَا لِيَهْدِيَهُمْ طَرِيْقًا |
except a path to Hell, abiding in it forever | إِلَّا طَرِيْقَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَآ أَبَدًا | |
and that is for Allah (SWT) easy | 169 | وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللهِ يَسِيْرًا |
O people! Indeed, came to you the messenger with the truth from your Lord | يَآ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمُ الرَّسُوْلُ بِالحَقِّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ | |
so, believe! (is) better for you and if you disbelieve then certainly belongs to Allah (SWT) | فَئَامِنُوا خَيْرًا لَّكُمْ وَإِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ | |
whatever is in the heavens and the earth and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | 170 | مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا |
O people of the book! don’t commit excess in your religion and don’t say about Allah (SWT) | يَآ أَهْلَ الكِتَابِ لَا تَغْلُوا فِي دِيْنِكُمْ وَلَا تَقُوْلُوا عَلَى اللهِ | |
except the truth, only the Messiah, Isa (AS) son of Mary, messenger of Allah (SWT) and His Word | إِلَّا الحَقَّ إِنَّمَا المَسِيْحُ عِيْسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ | |
which He conveyed to Maryam (RA) and a spirit from Him so believe in Allah (SWT) and His messengers | أَلْقَاهَآ إِلَى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوْحٌ مِّنْهُ فَئَامِنُوا بِاللهِ وَرُسُلِهِ | |
and don’t say “three”, desist (is) better for you | وَلَا تَقُوْلُوا ثَلَاثَةٌ انْتَهُوا خَيْرًا لَّكُمْ | |
(say) only Allah (SWT) is a God, One, Glory be to Him! that He has for Him a son | إِنَّمَا اللهُ إِلَاهٌ وَاحِدٌ سُبْحَانَهُ أَنْ يَكُوْنَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ | |
belongs to Him what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and sufficient is Allah (SWT) as a Guardian (Trustee-Manager) | 171 | لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَكَفَى بِاللهِ وَكِيْلًا |
The Messiah will not dislike being a slave belonging to Allah (SWT) | لَّنْ يَسْتَنْكِفَ المَسِيْحُ أَنْ يَكُوْنَ عَبْدًا لِّلَّهِ | |
nor the angels, who are near and who dislikes being His slave | وَلَا المَلَآئِكَةُ المُقَرَّبُوْنَ وَمَنْ يَسْتَنْكِفْ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ | |
and he is proud, then soon He will gather them to Him all together | 172 | وَيَسْتَكْبِرْ فَسَيَحْشُرُهُمْ إِلَيْهِ جَمِيْعًا |
So, as for those who believe and do good deeds | فَأَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ | |
then He will give them in full their reward and He will increase them from His bounty | فَيُوَفِّيْهِمْ أُجُوْرَهُمْ وَيَزِيْدُهُمْ مِّنْ فَضْلِهِ | |
and as for those who disliked and were arrogant then He will punish them with a painful punishment | وَأَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَنْكَفُوا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فَيُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيْمًا | |
and not they will find for them from other than Allah (SWT) a friend nor a helper | 173 | وَلَا يَجِدُوْنَ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيْرًا |
O people! Indeed, came to you proof from your Lord | يَآ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُم بُرْهَانٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ | |
and We sent down to you a clear light | 174 | وَأَنْزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ نُوْرًا مُّبِيْنًا |
So, as for those who believe in Allah (SWT) and held fast to Him | فَأَمَّا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا بِاللهِ وَاعْتَصَمُوا بِهِ | |
then We will admit them into a mercy from Him and a bounty | فَسَيُدْخِلُهُمْ فِي رَحْمَةٍ مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلٍ | |
and He will guide them to Him a straight path | 175 | وَيَهْدِيْهِمْ إِلَيْهِ صِرَاطًا مُّسْتَقِيْمًا |
They ask you, say, “Allah (SWT) explains concerning the ones without heirs | يَسْتَفْتُوْنَكَ قُلِ اللهُ يُفْتِيْكُمْ فِي الكَلَالَةِ | |
if a man died and not for him a child but for him a sister then for her is half of what he left | إِنِ امْرُؤٌا هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَ | |
and he, he inherits it if is for her no child, but if there were two females | وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا وَلَدٌ فَإِنْ كَانَتَا اثْنَتَيْنِ | |
then for them both two thirds from what he left | فَلَهُمَا الثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَ | |
and if they were siblings, men and women then for the male like a portion of two females | وَإِنْ كَانُوا إِخْوَةً رِّجَالًا وَنِسَآءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ | |
Allah (SWT) makes clear for you lest you stray and Allah (SWT) is over everything All-Knowing | 176 | يُبَيِّنُ اللهُ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا وَاللهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ |
