Chapter 6
Chapter 6 of the holy Quran with full Arabic text and English translation (Surah Al-An’am – سُوْرَةُ الأَنْعَامِ – The Cattle)
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Eternally Merciful
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ
| Part 7 / Chapter 6 | Ch 6 | Chapter 6 / وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا مَآ أُنْزِلَ |
| Verse | ||
| All praise and thanks belong to Allah (SWT) who created the heavens and the earth | الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ | |
| and made the darkness and the light | وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّوْرَ | |
| then those who disbelieved in their Lord, they ascribe equals | 1 | ثُمَّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُوْنَ |
| He is who created you from clay, then He decreed a term | هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِّنْ طِيْنٍ ثُمَّ قَضَى أَجَلًا | |
| and a term specified by Him, then, yet you doubt | 2 | وَأَجَلٌ مُّسَمَّى عِنْدَهُ ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ تَمْتَرُوْنَ |
| and He is Allah (SWT) in the heavens and on the earth | وَهُوَ اللهُ فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَفِي الأَرْضِ | |
| He knows your hidden and your open and He knows what you earn | 3 | يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهْرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُوْنَ |
| and not comes to them of a sign from the signs of their Lord | وَمَا تَأْتِيْهِمْ مِنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ | |
| except they turn away from it | 4 | إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِيْنَ |
| Indeed, they denied the truth when it came to them | فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا بِالحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ | |
| but soon will come to them the news that they were mocking at it | 5 | فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيْهِمْ أَنْبَآؤُوا مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ |
| Did they not see how many a nation We destroyed from before them | أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ | |
| whom We established on the earth such as We have not established you? | مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ | |
| and We sent the sky upon them in abundance | وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَآءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا | |
| and We made the rivers flow from under them | وَجَعَلْنَا الأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ | |
| yet We destroyed them for their sins | فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوْبِهِمْ | |
| and We created after them other generations | 6 | وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا ءَاخَرِيْنَ |
| and had We sent down to you a writing on a paper | وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَابًا فِي قِرْطَاسٍ | |
| so, they could physically touch it with their hands | فَلَمَسُوْهُ بِأَيْدِيْهِمْ | |
| Certainly, those who disbelieve would say “In this is but clearly magic” | 7 | لَقَالَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِيْنٌ |
| and they say, “Why has not an angel been sent down to him?” | وَقَالُوا لَوْلَآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ | |
| Had We sent down an angel, surely the matter would have been decided | وَلَوْ أَنْزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِيَ الأَمْرُ | |
| then, no respite will be granted to them | 8 | ثُمَّ لَا يُنْظَرُوْنَ |
| and had We made him an angel, We would have certainly made him a man | وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَاهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنَاهُ رَجُلًا | |
| thus, We would certainly have confused them in what they were already confused | 9 | وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَّا يَلْبِسُوْنَ |
| and indeed, messengers were mocked from before you | وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ | |
| but those from them who mocked were overtaken by what | فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِيْنَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُمْ | |
| they used to mock at | 10 | مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ |
| Say, “Travel in the land | قُلْ سِيْرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ | |
| then see how the end of those was, who denied (rejected)” | 11 | ثُمَّ انْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ المُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| Say, “To whom belongs what is in the heavens and the earth? | قُلْ لِّمَن مَّا فِي السَّمَاوَآتِ وَالأَرْضِ | |
| Say, “Belongs to Allah (SWT), He has prescribed for Himself, Mercy | قُل لِّلّهِ كَتَبَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ | |
| Certainly, He will indeed assemble you all on the day of Resurrection | لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ | |
| about which there is no doubt | لَا رَيْبَ فِيْهِ | |
| those who have lost themselves as they do not believe | 12 | الَّذِيْنَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| and belongs to Him whatsoever lives in the night and the day | وَلَهُ مَا سَكَنَ فِي الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ | |
| and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower | 13 | وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ العَلِيْمُ |
| Say, “shall I take as a friend (helper) any other than Allah (SWT) | قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا | |
| the Creator of the heavens and the earth? | فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَآتِ وَالأَرْضِ | |
| and it is He who feeds and is not fed | وَهُوْ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ | |
| Say, “Truly I am commanded to be the first of those who submit | قُلْ إِنِّي أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُوْنَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ | |
| and be not of the polytheists” | 14 | وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ المُشْرِكِيْنَ |
| Say, “I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the punishment of an overwhelming day” | 15 | قُلْ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيْمٍ |
| Who is averted from it, on that day | مَّنْ يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ | |
| then indeed He showed mercy to him and that is a clear success | 16 | فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُ وَذَلِكَ الفَوْزُ المُبِيْنُ |
| and if Allah (SWT) touches you with harm | وَإِن يَّمْسَسْكَ اللهُ بِضُرٍّ | |
| then there is no one who can remove, except He | فَلَا كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلَّا هُوَ | |
| and if He touches you with good, then He is over everything All-Powerful | 17 | وَإِنْ يَّمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ |
| and He is Irresistible (Subjugator) over His slaves | وَهُوَ القَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ | |
| and He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware | 18 | وَهُوَ الحَكِيْمُ الخَبِيْرُ |
| Say, “What thing is greatest as a witness (testimony)?” | قُلْ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَادَةً | |
| Say, “Allah (SWT) is a witness between you and I | قُلِ اللهُ شَهِيْدٌ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ | |
| and this Quran was revealed to me | وَأَوْحِيَ إِلَيَّ هَذَا القُرْءَانُ | |
| that I may therewith warn you and whomsoever it may reach | لِأُنْذِرَكُمْ بِهِ وَمَنْ بَلَغَ | |
| Indeed, can you truly bear witness that with Allah (SWT) there are other gods?” | أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُوْنَ أَنَّ مَعَ اللهِ ءَالِهَةً أُخْرَى | |
| Say, “I cannot bear (such) witness” | قُلْ لَّآ أَشْهَدُ | |
| Say, “Only He is the One God | قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَاهٌ وَاحِدٌ | |
| and truly I am innocent from what you associate” | 19 | وَإِنَّنِي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُوْنَ |
| Those We have given the Scripture recognize him | الَّذِيْنَ ءَاتَيْنَاهُمُ الكِتَابَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ | |
| as they recognize their own sons | كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَآءَهُمُ | |
| those who have lost themselves, they will not believe | 20 | الَّذِيْنَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| and who does more wrong than who invents a lie against Allah (SWT) | وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللهِ كَذِبًا | |
| or he denies His signs | أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِئَايَاتِهِ | |
| Verily He will not cause the ones who do wrong to succeed | 21 | إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ |
| and on the day when We shall gather them all together | وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيْعًا | |
| then We shall say to those who joined partners | ثُمَّ نَقُوْلُ لِلَّذِيْنَ أَشْرَكُوا | |
| “Where are your partners, those you used to claim” | 22 | أَيْنَ شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُوْنَ |
| then not will there be for them an escape | ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِتْنَتُهُمْ | |
| except to say; “By Allah (SWT), our Lord! we were not of those who associated” | 23 | إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا وَاللهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِيْنَ |
| Look! how they lie against their own selves | انْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ | |
| and lost from them will be what they invented | 24 | وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ |
| and among them are who listen to you | وَمِنْهُمْ مَّنْ يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ | |
| but We placed coverings upon their hearts | وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَى قُلُوْبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً | |
| lest they comprehend it and in their ears is a deafness | أَنْ يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا | |
| and even if they see every sign, they will not believe therein | وَإِنْ يَرَوا كُلَّ ءَايَةٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَا | |
| till when they come to you to argue with you, those who disbelieve say | حَتَّى إِذَا جَآءُوكَ يُجَادِلُونَكَ يَقُوْلُ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا | |
| “Not is this but tales of the ancient” | 25 | إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيْرُ الأَوَّلِيْنَ |
| and they forbid from him, and they keep away from him | وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْئَوْنَ عَنْهُ | |
| and they destroy not except themselves, but they perceive not | 26 | وَإِنْ يُهْلِكُونَ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ |
| and if you (could) see when they are made to stand by the fire | وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَى النَّارِ | |
| then they will say, “Would that we were sent back | فَقَالُوا يَا لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ | |
| we will not deny the signs of our Lord and we would be of the believers” | 27 | وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِئَايَاتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ |
| Nay! What they were concealing from before became manifest for them | بَلْ بَدَا لَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُخْفُوْنَ مِنْ قَبْلُ | |
| and if they were sent back, they would certainly return to what they were forbidden | وَلَوْ رُدُّوا لَعَادُوا لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ | |
| and indeed, they are certainly liars | 28 | وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُوْنَ |
| and they said, “Not is it except our life of the world and not shall we be resurrected” | 29 | وَقَالُوا إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِيْنَ |
| and if you (could) see when they are made to stand before their Lord! | وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ | |
| He will say, “Is this not the truth?” | قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا بِالْحَقِّ | |
| They will say, “Yes indeed, by our Lord” | قَالُوا بَلَى وَرَبِّنَا | |
| He will then say; “So taste the punishment that which you used to disbelieve” | 30 | قَالَ فَذُوْقُوا العَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُوْنَ |
| indeed, those who disbelieved in the meeting with their Lord, lost | قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوا بِلِقَآءِ اللهِ | |
| till when came to them the hour, suddenly | حَتَّى إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً | |
| they say: “O our regret over what we neglected in (concerning) it” | قَالُوا يَا حَسْرَتَنَا عَلَى مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيْهَا | |
| while they will bear their burdens on their backs | وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُوْنَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَى ظُهُوْرِهِمْ | |
| no doubt evil is what they bear | 31 | أَلَا سَآءَ مَا يَزِرُوْنَ |
| and not is the life of the world except play and amusement | وَمَا الحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ | |
| while the home of the hereafter is better for those who are God-conscious | وَلَلدَّارُ الآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِيْنَ يَتَّقُوْنَ | |
| will you then not reason? | 32 | أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ |
| indeed, We know that it certainly grieves you, what they say | قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُ لَيَحْزُنُكَ الَّذِي يَقُوْلُوْنَ | |
| and indeed, they do not deny you | فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُوْنَكَ | |
| but the signs (verses) of Allah (SWT) the wrongdoers deny (reject) | 33 | وَلَاكِنَّ الظَّالِمِيْنَ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ يَجْحَدُوْنَ |
| Verily, messengers from before you were denied | وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ | |
| but they were patient over what they were rejected | فَصَبَرُوا عَلَى مَا كُذِّبُوا | |
| and they were troubled (harmed) until came to them Our help | وَأُوْذُوا حَتَّى أَتَاهُمْ نَصْرُنَا | |
| and no one can alter the words of Allah (SWT) | وَلَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ | |
| and most certainly came to you of the news of the messengers | 34 | وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكَ مِنْ نَّبَإِىْ الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ |
| and if their aversion (turning away) be great upon you | وَإِنْ كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ | |
| then if you are able to seek a way down into the earth | فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَبْتَغِيَ نَفَاقًا فِي الأَرْضِ | |
| or a way up to the heaven so that you may bring them a sign | أَوْ سُلَّمًا فِي السَّمَآءِ فَتَأْتِيَهُمْ بِئَايَةٍ | |
| and had Allah (SWT) willed, surely, He could have gathered them to the guidance | وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى الهُدَى | |
| so, you do not ever remotely be of the ignorant | 35 | فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الجَاهِلِيْنَ |
| only those who listen will respond | إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيْبُ الَّذِيْنَ يَسْمَعُوْنَ | |
| while the dead, Allah (SWT) will raise them up | وَالمَوْتَى يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللهُ | |
| then to Him they will be returned | 36 | ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُوْنَ |
| and they say: “Why is not sent down to him a sign from his Lord” | وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ | |
| say: “Truly Allah (SWT) is All-Capable to send down a sign | قُلْ إِنَّ اللهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يُنَزِّلَ ءَايَةً | |
| but most of them do not know | 37 | وَلَاكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| and not from a moving creature on earth | وَمَا مِنْ دَآبَّةٍ فِي الأَرْضِ | |
| nor a bird that flies with its wings | وَلَا طَآئِرٍ يَطِيْرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ | |
| except are communities like you | إِلَّآ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُمْ | |
| not We neglected in the book from anything | مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الكِتَابِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ | |
| then to their Lord they will be gathered | 38 | ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُوْنَ |
| and those who neglected our signs (verses) are deaf and dumb, in darkness | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوا بِئَايَاتِنَا صُمٌّ وَبُكْمٌ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ | |
| Who Allah (SWT) wishes; He lets him go astray | مَنْ يَشَإِ اللهُ يُضْلِلْهُ | |
| and who He wishes, He makes him on a straight path | 39 | وَمَنْ يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ |
| When you see you all, when the punishment of Allah (SWT) comes to you | قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللهِ | |
| or the hour comes to you | أَوْ أَتَتْكُمُ السَّاعَةُ | |
| will you all then call other than Allah (SWT) if you be truthful? | 40 | أَغَيْرَ اللهِ تَدْعُوْنَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِيْنَ |
| Nay, only Him you will call | بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَدْعُوْنَ | |
| and He will remove what you call upon it, if He wills | فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُوْنَ إِلَيْهِ إِنْ شَآءَ | |
| and you will forget who you associate | 41 | وَتَنْسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُوْنَ |
| and certainly, We sent to people (nations) from before you | وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَى أُمَمٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ | |
| then We took (seized) them with adversity (evil) and hardship (harm) | فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالبَأْسَآءِ وَالضَّرَّآءِ | |
| so that they may humble themselves | 42 | لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُوْنَ |
| then why not, when came to them our punishment, they humbled themselves? | فَلَوْلَآ إِذْ جَآءَهُمْ بَاْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُوا | |
| but their hearts became hardened | وَلَاكِنْ قَسَتْ قُلُوْبُهُمْ | |
| and Satan made fair seeming to them that which they used to do | 43 | وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| so, when they forgot what they were reminded of it | فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ | |
| We opened upon them the doors (gates) of everything | فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ | |
| until when they rejoiced in what they were given | حَتَّى إِذَا فَرِحُوا بِمَآ أُوْتُوا | |
| We took (seized) them suddenly and then they were in despair | 44 | أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ مُّبْلِسُوْنَ |
| So, the root of the people who did wrong was cut off | فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ القَوْمِ الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوا | |
| and all praises and thanks belong to Allah (SWT), the Lord of the worlds | 45 | وَالحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ |
| Say “Have you seen if Allah (SWT) took away you’re hearing | قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخَذَ اللهُ سَمْعَكُمْ | |
| and your sight and sealed up your hearts | وَأَبْصَارَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَى قُلُوْبِكُمْ | |
| which God other than Allah (SWT) can bring you to it?” | مَّنْ إِلَاهٌ غَيْرُ اللهِ يَأْتِيْكُمْ بِهِ | |
| See how We explain the signs | انْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الأَيَاتِ | |
| yet they turn away | 46 | ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُوْنَ |
| Say “Can you see (imagine) you | قُلْ أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ | |
| if the punishment of Allah (SWT) comes to you suddenly or openly | إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً | |
| will any be destroyed except the wrongdoing people?” | 47 | هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا القَوْمُ الظَّالِمُوْنَ |
| and We send not the messengers except as bearers of glad tidings and warner’s | وَمَا نُرْسِلُ المُرْسَلِيْنَ إِلَّا مَبَشِّرِيْنَ وَمُنْذِرِيْنَ | |
| so, who believes and corrects (reforms by believing and doing righteous deeds) | فَمَنْ ءَامَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ | |
| then no fear will they have, nor will they grieve | 48 | فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُوْنَ |
| and those who deny our signs | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوا بِئَايَاتِنَا | |
| the punishment (torment) will touch them for what they defiantly disobeyed | 49 | يَمَسُّهُمُ العَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُوْنَ |
| Say, I don’t tell you that with me are the treasures of Allah (SWT) | قُلْ لَّا أَقُوْلُ لَكُمْ عِنْدِي خَزَآئِنُ اللهِ | |
| nor I know the unseen, nor I say to you that I am an angel | وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ الغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُوْلُ لَكُمْ إِنِّي مَلَكٌ | |
| not I follow except what is revealed to me | إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوْحَى إِلَيَّ | |
| Say; “Are equal the blind and the one who sees? | قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الأَعْمَى وَالبَصِيْرُ | |
| will you then not ponder (give thought)? | 50 | أَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ |
| and warn therewith those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord | وَأَنْذِرْ بِهِ الَّذِيْنَ يَخَافُوْنَ أَنْ يُحْشَرُوا إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ | |
| not for them from other than He, a friend (protector, ally, guardian) nor an intercessor | لَيْسَ لَهُمْ مِنْ دُوْنِهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلَا شَفِيْعٌ | |
| so that they may become righteous (mindful, Godfearing) | 51 | لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُوْنَ |
| and not you send (drive) away those who call their Lord | وَلَا تَطْرُدِ الَّذِيْنَ يَدْعُوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ | |
| in the morning and the evening desiring His face (Countenance) | بِالغَدَاةِ وَالعَشِيِّ يُرِيْدُوْنَ وَجْهَهُ | |
| not upon you of their accounting about anything | مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ | |
| and not of your accounting upon them from anything | وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ شَيْءٍ | |
| if you drive them away then you will be of the wrongdoers | 52 | فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُوْنَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| and likewise, We tried (tested) some of them with others | وَكَذَلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ | |
| till they say, “Are these upon whom Allah (SWT) favored from among us?” | لِّيَقُوْلُوا أَهَآؤُلَآءِ مَنَّ اللهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِّنْ بَيْنِنَآ | |
| Is Allah (SWT) not the Most Knowing of those who are grateful? | 53 | أَلَيْسَ اللهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِالشَّاكِرِيْنَ |
| and when come to you those who believe in our signs | وَإِذَا جَآءَكَ الَّذِيْنَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِئَايَاتِنَا | |
| then say, “Peace be upon you” | فَقُلْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ | |
| your Lord has prescribed mercy upon himself | كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ | |
| that he who does evil in ignorance among you | أَنَّهُ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنْكُمْ سُوءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ | |
| then he repents after that and acts righteously | ثُمَّ تَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ | |
| then indeed He is Most-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 54 | فَأَنَّهُ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
| and thus, do We explain Our signs | وَكَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الأَيَاتِ | |
| so that the way of the criminals is made clear | 55 | وَلِتَسْتَبِيْنَ سَبِيْلُ الْمُجْرِمِيْنَ |
| Say, “Truly I have been forbidden to worship those you call from other than Allah (SWT)” | قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِيْنَ تَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ | |
| say, “I will not follow your vain desires” | قُلْ لَّآ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَآءَكُمْ | |
| “Certainly, I will go astray then, and will not be from the guided ones” | 56 | قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَآ أَنَا مِنَ المُهْتَدِيْنَ |
| Say, “Truly I am on clear proof from my Lord, while you deny it” | قُلْ إِنِّي عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّي وَكَذَّبْتُمْ بِهِ | |
| Not with me what you seek to hasten of it | مَا عِنْدِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ بِهِ | |
| not is the decision except for Allah (SWT), He relates the truth | إِنِ الحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ يَقُصُّ الحَقَّ | |
| and He is the best of Deciders (Explainers-Judges) | 57 | وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الفَاصِلِيْنَ |
| Say, “If that what you seek to hasten with it, were with me | قُلْ لَوْ أَنَّ عِنْدِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ بِهِ | |
| surely the matter would have been decided between you and between me | لَقُضِيَ الأَمْرُ بِيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ | |
| and Allah (SWT) is Most-Knowing of the wrongdoers” | 58 | وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| and with Him are the keys to the unseen, none know them except He | وَعِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَآ إِلَّا هُوَ | |
| and He knows what is in the land and what is in the sea | وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي البَرِّ وَالبَحْرِ | |
| and not a leaf falls except He knows it | وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا | |
| and not a grain in the darkness of the earth | وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الأَرْضِ | |
| and not moist and not dry except in a clear record (register-book) | 59 | وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِيْنٍ |
| and He is who takes your souls by night | وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ بِالَّيْلِ | |
| and has knowledge of what you committed by day | وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُمْ بِالنَّهَارِ | |
| then He raises you up therein till a specified term is fulfilled | ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيْهِ لِيُقْضَى أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى | |
| then to Him will be your return | ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ | |
| then He will inform you about what you used to do | 60 | ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| and He is the Subjugator (Irresistible) over His slaves | وَهُوَ القَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ | |
| and He sends guardians (protectors) over you | وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً | |
| till when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him | حَتَّى إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَكُمُ المَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا | |
| and they do not fail | 61 | وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُوْنَ |
| then they are returned to Allah (SWT) their true Friend (Protector-Guardian) | ثُمَّ رُدُّوا إِلَى اللهِ مَوْلَاهُمُ الحَقِّ | |
| Unquestionably, for Him is the judgement and He is swiftest of the ones who account | 62 | أَلَا لَهُ الحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ الحَاسِبِيْنَ |
| Say, “Who saves you from the darkness of the land and the sea? | قُلْ مَنْ يُنَجِّيْكُمْ مِّنْ ظُلُمَاتِ البَرِّ وَالبَحْرِ | |
| you call Him humbly and secretly | تَدْعُوْنَهُ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً | |
| truly if He saves us from this, indeed we will certainly be from the grateful (thankful) ones” | 63 | لَّئِنْ أَنْجَيْنَا مِنْ هَذِهِ لَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِيْنَ |
| Say, “Allah (SWT) saves you from it and from every distress | قُلِ اللهُ يُنَجِّيْكُمْ مِّنْهَا وَمِنْ كُلِّ كَرْبٍ | |
| then you associate partners” | 64 | ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ تُشْرِكُوْنَ |
| Say, He is All-Capable (powerful) to send upon you, punishment from above you | قُلْ هُوَ القَادِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّنْ فَوْقِكُمْ | |
| or from under (beneath) your feet or to cover (confuse-obscure-mix) you into sects (parties-spread) | أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا | |
| and make some of you taste the violence of others | وَيُذِيْقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ | |
| Look (see) how We explain the signs so that they may understand | 65 | أُنْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الأَيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُوْنَ |
| but your people denied it while it is the truth | وَكَذَّبَ بِهِ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ الحَقُّ | |
| Say, “I am not a friend (guardian-protector-manager) over you” | 66 | قُلْ لَسْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِوَكِيْلٍ |
| For every news is a fixed time so soon you will know | 67 | لِكُلِّ نَبَإٍ مُّسْتَقَرٌّ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| and when you see those who engage in vain talk about our signs | وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ الَّذِيْنَ يَخُوْضُوْنَ فِي ءَايَاتِنَا | |
| then turn away from them till they engage in a talk other than it | فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّى يَخُوْضُوا فِي حَدِيْثٍ غِيْرِهِ | |
| and if Satan causes you to forget | وَإِمَّ يُنْسِيَنَّكَ الشَّيْطَانُ | |
| then do not sit with the wrongdoing people after the reminder | 68 | فَلَا تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ الذِّكْرَى مَعَ القَوْمِ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| and not on those who fear from their accounting of anything (responsible) | وَمَا عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ يَتَّقُوْنَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ | |
| but a reminder so that they may fear | 69 | وَلَكِنْ ذِكْرَى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُوْنَ |
| and leave those who take their religion as play and amusement | وَذَرِ الَّذِيْنَ اتَّخَذُوا دِيْنَهُمْ لَعِبًا وَلَهْوًا | |
| as the life of the world has deceived (deluded) them | وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا | |
| but remind with it lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned | وَذَكِّرْ بِهِ أَنْ تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ | |
| not for it from other than Allah (SWT) a friend (protector) nor an intercessor | لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلَا شَفِيعٌ | |
| and if he offers a ransom (justifies) every ransom, not will be taken from it | وَإِنْ تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍ لَّا يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَآ | |
| those are who are given to destruction for what they earned | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ أُبْسِلُوا بِمَا كَسَبُوا | |
| for them a drink of scalding water and a painful torment | لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيْمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيْمٌ | |
| because they used to disbelieve | 70 | بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْفُرُوْنَ |
| Say, “Should we call from other than Allah (SWT) who cannot benefit us nor harm us | قُلْ أَنَدْعُوا مِنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا | |
| and we turn back on our heels after when Allah (SWT) guided us | وَنُرَدُّ عَلَى أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَانَا اللهُ | |
| like the one who the devils enticed him in the earth into confusion | كَالَّذِيْ اسْتَهْوَتْهُ الشَّيَاطِيْنُ فِي الأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ | |
| He has companions, they call him to the guidance, “Come to us” | لَهُ أَصْحَابٌ يَدْعُوْنَهُ إِلَى الهُدَى ائْتِنَا | |
| Say, “Truly the guidance of Allah (SWT), It is the guidance | قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللهِ هُوَ الهُدَى | |
| and we’ve been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds | 71 | وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ |
| and to establish the prayer and fear Him | وَأَنْ أَقِيْمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَاتَّقُوْهُ | |
| and He is who, to Him you will be gathered” | 72 | وَهُوَ الَّذِي إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُوْنَ |
| and He is who created the heavens and the earth in truth | وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالحَقِّ | |
| and the day He says “Be” and it will be, His word is the truth | وَيَوْمَ يَقُوْلُ كُنْ فَيَكُوْنُ قَوْلُهُ الحَقُّ | |
| and for Him is the dominion (kingdom), the day the trumpet will be blown in | وَلَهُ المُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّوْرِ | |
| He is the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen and He is the All-Wise, All-Aware | 73 | عَالِمُ الغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ وَهُوَ الحَكِيْمُ الخَبِيْرُ |
| and when Ebrahim (AS) said to his father, Azar | وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيْمُ لِأَبِيْهِ ءَازَرَ | |
| “Do you take idols as gods? | أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا ءَالِهَةً | |
| Truly, I see you and your people in clear error” | 74 | إِنِّي أَرَاكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِيْنٍ |
| Thus, We show Ebrahim (AS) the kingdom of the heavens and the earth | وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِيَ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ مَلَكُوْتَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ | |
| so that he be among the ones who believe firmly (certain) | 75 | وَلِيَكُوْنَ مِنَ المُوْقِنِيْنَ |
| So, when the night covered over him, he saw a star, he said “This is my Lord” | فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ الَّيْلُ رَءَا كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي | |
| but when it set, he said “Not I like the ones that set” | 76 | فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ قَالَ لَا أُحِبُّ الآفِلِيْنَ |
| and when he saw the moon rising, he said “This is my Lord” but when it set | فَلَمَّا رَءَا القَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَ | |
| he said “Certainly, if my Lord guides me not, I will surely be among the people who went astray | 77 | قَالَ لَئِنْ لَّمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ القَوْمِ الضَّآلِّيْنَ |
| and when he saw the sun rising, he said, “This is my Lord, this is greater | فَلَمَّا رَءَا الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي هَذَآ أَكْبَرُ | |
| but when it set, he said, “O my people, truly I am free of what you associate” | 78 | فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَاقَوْمِ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُوْنَ |
| Indeed, I turned (directed) my face to who created the heavens and the earth, upright | إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ | |
| and not am I from the polytheists | 79 | حَنِيْفًا وَمَآ أَنَاْ مِنَ المُشْرِكِيْنَ |
| and his people argued with him, he said, “Do you argue with me concerning Allah (SWT) while certainly | وَحَآجَّهُ قَوْمُهُ قَالَ أَتُحَآجُّونِّي فِي اللهِ وَقَدْ | |
| He has guided me?” and not I fear what you associate with Him except that my Lord wills anything | هَدَانِ وَلَآ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُوْنَ بِهِ إِلَّآ أَنْ يَشَآءَ رَبِّي شَيْئًا | |
| my Lord encompasses everything in knowledge, will you then not take heed (remember)?” | 80 | وَسِعَ رَبِّي كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُوْنَ |
| and how I should fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allah (SWT) | وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَآ أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلَا تَخَافُوْنَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُمْ بِاللهِ | |
| what, not He sent down for it to you, any authority | مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَانًا | |
| then which of the two parties has more right to security if you know? | 81 | فَأَيُّ الفَرِيْقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بَالأَمْنِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| those who believed and did not mix their faith with wrong (injustice-wrongdoing) | الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُوا إِيْمَانَهُمْ بِظُلْمٍ | |
| Those, for them is security and they are guided | 82 | أُوْلَآئِكَ لَهُمُ الأَمْنُ وَهُمْ مُّهْتَدُوْنَ |
| and these are our arguments, We gave it to Ebrahim (AS) against his people | وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَآ ءَاتَيْنَاهَآ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ | |
| We raise degrees, whom We will, Truly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing | 83 | نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَّن نَّشَآءُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ |
| and We bestowed to him Ishaq (AS) and Yacoob (AS) all We guided and Nuh (AS) We guided | وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْهَاقَ وَيَعْقُوْبَ كُلًّا هَدَيْنَا وَنُوْحًا هَدَيْنَا | |
| from before and from his descendants Dawood (AS) and Suleiman (AS) and Ayyub (AS) and Yusuf (AS) | مِن قَبْلُ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ دَاوُوْدَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَأَيُّوْبَ وَيُوْسُفَ | |
| and Moosa (AS) and Haroon (AS) and thus We reward the good doers | 84 | وَمُوْسَى وَهَارُوْنَ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي المُحْسِنِيْنَ |
| and Zakariya (AS) and Yahya (AS) and Isa (AS) and Ilyaas (AS) all from the righteous | 85 | وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَ وَعِيْسَى وَإِلْيَاسَ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ |
| and Ismail (AS) and Elisha (AS) and Yunus (AS) and Lut (AS) and all We preferred over the creation | 86 | وَإِسْمَاعِيْلَ وَاليَسَعَ وَيُوْنُسَ وَلُوْطًا وَكُلًّا فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى العَالَمِيْنَ |
| and from their fathers and their off-springs and their brothers and We chose them, and We guided them | وَمِنْ ءَابَآئِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَانِهِمْ وَاجْتَبَيْنَاهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ | |
| to a straight path | 87 | إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ |
| These are the guidance of Allah (SWT), He guides with it whom He wills from His slaves | ذَلِكَ هُدَى اللهِ يَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ | |
| but if they associate then surely worthless for them what they used to do | 88 | وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| Those are whom We gave them the book and the judgement (wisdom) and prophethood but if they disbelieve | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ ءَاتَيْنَاهُمُ الكِتَابَ وَالحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ فَإِنْ يَكْفُرْ | |
| in it then indeed, We entrusted it to a people who are not therein believers | 89 | بِهَا هَأؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّيْسُوا بِهَا بِكَافِرِيْنَ |
| Those whom Allah (SWT) guided then of their guidance, follow | أُوْلَآئِكَ الَّذِيْنَ هَدَى اللهُ فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ | |
| Say, “not I ask you for it a reward, not it is but a reminder to the worlds” | 90 | قُلْ لَّآ أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَى لِلْعَالَمِيْنَ |
| and not they appraised Allah (SWT) a true appraisal of Him when they said, “not Allah (SWT) revealed to man | وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ إِذْ قَالُوا مَآ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَلَى بَشَرٍ | |
| from anything” say, “who revealed the book which Moosa (AS) brought with him | مِّن شَيّءٍ قُلْ مَنْ أَنْزَلَ الكِتَابَ الَّذِي جَآءَ بِهِ مُوْسَى | |
| as a light and a guidance for the people?” you make it parchments, | نُوْرًا وَهُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ تَجْعَلُوْنَهُ قَرَاطِيْسَ | |
| you disclose it, and you conceal much, and you were taught what not you knew | تُبْدُوْنَهَا وَتُخْفُوْنَ كَثِيْرًا وَعُلِّمْتُمْ مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنْتُمْ | |
| nor your fathers, say, “Allah (SWT)” then leave them in their idle talk, playing | 91 | وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ قُلِ اللهُ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِي خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُوْنَ |
| and this is a book, We revealed it, blessed, confirming which is between his hands | وَهَذَا كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ مُّصَدِّقُ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ | |
| so you may warn the mother of the cities and who is around it and who believe | وَلِتُنْذِرَ أُمَّ القُرَى وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَالَّذِيْنَ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ | |
| in the hereafter, they believe in it and they are over their prayers, guarding | 92 | بِالآخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِهِ وَهُمْ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُوْنَ |
| and who is more unjust than who invents about Allah (SWT) a lie or who said, “It has been inspired to me | وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيَّ | |
| while not a thing was inspired to him and who said, “I will reveal like what Allah (SWT) revealed | وَلَمْ يُوْحَ إِلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَنْ قَالَ سَأُنْزِلُ مِثْلَ مَآ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ | |
| and if you see when the wrongdoers are in agonies of death while the angels | وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذِ الظَّالِمُوْنَ فِي غَمَرَاتِ المَوْتِ وَالمَلَآئِكَةُ | |
| stretching out their hands, “Discharge your souls! | بَاسِطُوا أيْدِيْهِمْ أَخْرِجُوا أَنْفُسَكُمُ | |
| today you will be rewarded with humiliating punishment because you used to say | اليَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الهُوْنِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَقُوْلُوْنَ | |
| about Allah (SWT) other than the truth and you were towards His verses, arrogant” | 93 | عَلَى اللهِ غَيْرَ الحَقِّ وَكُنْتُمْ عَنْ ءَايَاتِهِ تَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ |
| Surely, you came to Us alone like how We created you the first time and you left whatever | وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُوْنَا فُرَادَى كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُمْ مَّا | |
| We bestowed on you behind your backs and not We see with you | خَوَّلْنَاكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُوْرِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَى مَعَكُمْ | |
| your intercessors which you claimed that they with you partners | شُفَعَآءَكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيْكُمْ شُرَكَآؤُا | |
| indeed, it is severed between you and is lost on you what you used to claim | 94 | لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْكُم مَّا كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُوْنَ |
| Indeed Allah (SWT) is the one who parts the grain and the date seed, He brings forth the living from the dead | إِنَّ اللهَ فَالِقُ الحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى يُخْرِجُ الحَيَّ مِنَ المَيِّتِ | |
| the One who brings forth the dead from the living, that is Allah (SWT) so, how are you deluded? | 95 | وَمُخْرِجُ المَيِّتِ مِنَ الحَيِّ ذَلِكُمُ اللهُ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُوْنَ |
| Parter of the daybreak and He made the night for resting and the sun and the moon | فَالِقُ الإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ الَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالقَمَرَ | |
| for calculation, that is the ordaining of the All-Mighty, All-Knowing | 96 | حُسْبَانًا ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيْرُ العَزِيْزِ العَلِيْمِ |
| and He is who made for you the stars to guide you with them in the darkness of the land and the sea | وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُوْمَ لِتَهْتَدُوا بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ | |
| of the land and the sea indeed, We explain the verses to a people who know | 97 | البَرِّ وَالبَحْرِ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الأَيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| and He is who produced (raised) you from a single soul then a place of comfort (dwelling) and a place of rest | وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ | |
| indeed, We explain the verses to a people who understand | 98 | قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الأَيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَفْقَهُوْنَ |
| and He is who sends down water from the heavens then We brought forth with it, vegetation of every | وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ | |
| kind, then We brought forth from it greens We bring forth from it clustered grains | شَيْءٍ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِرًا نُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّا مُّتَرَاكِبًا | |
| and from the date palm, from its spathe, low hanging clusters of grapes and gardens of grapes | وَمِنَ النَّخْلِ مِن طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ دَانِيَةٌ وَجَنَّاتٍ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍ | |
| and the olives and the pomegranates resembling and not resembling, look at its | وَالزَّيْتُوْنَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ انْظُرُوا إِلَى | |
| fruit, when it bears fruit and its ripening, truly in these are certainly signs for a people who believe | 99 | ثَمَرِهِ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِهِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكُمْ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| and they made for Allah (SWT) partners with the jinn though He has created them | وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ الجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ | |
| and they falsely attribute to Him sons and daughters without knowledge | وَخَرَقُوا لَهُ بَنِيْنَ وَبَنَاتٍ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ | |
| Glory be to Him and exalted above what they attribute | 100 | سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ |
| Originator of the heavens and the earth, how be for Him a son, while not is for Him | بَدِيْعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ أَنَّى يَكُوْنُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُ | |
| a companion and He created everything, and He is over everything, All-Knowing | 101 | صَاحِبَةٌ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ |
| That is Allah (SWT), your Lord, there is no God except Him, Creator of everything | ذَلِكُمُ اللهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَا إِلَاهَ إِلَّا هُوَ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ | |
| so, worship Him and He is over everything a Guardian (Manager-Lawyer-Representative-Trustee) | 102 | فَاعْبُدُوهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيْلٌ |
| The visions cannot grasp Him while He grasps the visions and He is All-Subtle, All-Aware | 103 | لَا تُدْرِكُهُ الأَبْصَارُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ الأَبْصَارَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيْفُ الخَبِيْرُ |
| Indeed, came to you, enlightenment from your Lord then, whoever sees then, it is for his soul | قَدْ جَآءَكُمْ بَصَائِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَنْ أَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِ | |
| and whoever is blind then, it is against himself and not am I upon you a guardian | 104 | وَمَنْ عَمِيَ فَعَلَيْهَا وَمَآ أَنَاْ عَلَيْكُمْ بِحَفِيْظٍ |
| and thus, We explain the verses that they may say, “You studied” | وَكَذَلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الأَيَاتِ وَلِيَقُوْلُوا دَرَسْتَ | |
| that We may make it clear for a people who know | 105 | وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| Follow what has been inspired to you from your Lord, there is no God except Him | اتَّبِعْ مَآ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَا إِلَاهَ إِلَّا هُوَ | |
| and turn away from the polytheists | 106 | وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ المُشْرِكِيْنَ |
| and if Allah (SWT) willed, not they would associate and not We made you over them a watcher | وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ مَآ أَشْرَكُوا وَمَا جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيْظًا | |
| and not you are over them a guardian | 107 | وَمَآ أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيْلٍ |
| and do not insult those who call (invoke-pray) from other than Allah (SWT) | وَلَا تَسُبُّوا الَّذِيْنَ يَدْعُوْنَ مِن دُوْنِ اللهِ | |
| lest they insult Allah (SWT) out of enmity, without knowledge thus | فَيَسُبُّوا اللهَ عَدْوًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ كَذَلِكَ | |
| We have made fair seeming for every community their deed then to their Lord is their return | زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ مَرْجِعُهُمْ | |
| then He will inform them about what they were doing | 108 | فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| and they swear by Allah (SWT) their strongest oaths that if came to them a sign they would certainly believe in it | وَأَقْسَمُ بِاللهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِنْ جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌ لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا | |
| Say, “only the signs are with Allah (SWT) and what will make you perceive, when it comes, not they will believe” | 109 | قُلْ إِنَّمَا الآيَاتُ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَآ إِذَا جَآءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| And We will turn their hearts and their sight just as they did not believe in it the first time | وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ | |
| and We will leave (forsake) them in their transgression wandering blindly | 110 | وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُوْنَ |
| Part 8 / Chapter 6 | Ch 6 | Chapter 6 / وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَآ |
| and if We sent down to them the angels and the dead spoke to them | وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ المَلَآئِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ المَوْتَى | |
| and We gathered for them everything before them, they were not to believe | وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ قُبُلًا مَّا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا | |
| except that Allah (SWT) wills, but most of them are ignorant | 111 | إِلَّآ أَنْ يَشَآءَ اللهُ وَلَاكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُوْنَ |
| and thus, We made for every prophet an enemy, devils of mankind and jinn | وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَاطِيْنَ الإِنْسِ وَالجِنِّ | |
| some of them inspire to others decorative speech, deceiving | يُوْحِى بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ القَوْلِ غُرُوْرًا | |
| and if your Lord willed, not they would do it, so leave them and what they invent | 112 | وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُوْنَ |
| so, the hearts of those who don’t believe in the hereafter incline to it | وَلِتَصْغَى إِلَيْهِ أَفْئِدَةُ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالآخِرَةِ | |
| to be pleased with it and to commit what they are committing | 113 | وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا مَاهُمْ مُّقْتَرِفُوْنَ |
| “Then is it other than Allah (SWT) I seek a judge while He is the One who revealed to you the book | أَفَغَيْرَ اللهِ أَبْتَغِي حَكَمًا وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ الكِتَابَ | |
| explained in detail?” and those whom We gave them the book, they know that it | مُفَصَّلًا وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَاتَيْنَاهُمُ الكِتَابَ يَعْلَمُوْنَ أَنَّهُ | |
| is sent down from your Lord in truth, so do not be among the ones who doubt | 114 | مُنَزَّلٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِالحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ المُمْتَرِيْنَ |
| and the word of your Lord is fulfilled in truth and justice, no one can change His words | وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلًا لَّا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِهِ | |
| and He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing | 115 | وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ العَلِيْمُ |
| and if you obey most of who are in the earth, they will mislead you from the path of Allah (SWT) | وَإِنْ تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوْكَ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ | |
| not they follow except assumption and not they but guess | 116 | إِنْ يَتَّبِعُوْنَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُوْنَ |
| truly your Lord, He knows best who strays from His way | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَنْ يَضِلُّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِهِ | |
| and He knows best of the guided ones | 117 | وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالمُهْتَدِيْنَ |
| so, eat from what the name of Allah (SWT) is mentioned upon it if you are believers in His verses | 118 | فَكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ بِئَايَاتِهِ مُؤْمِنِيْنَ |
| and what for you that not you eat from what the name of Allah (SWT) is mentioned on it | وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ | |
| when indeed, He has explained in detail to you what He forbid to you except what you are compelled to it | وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَّا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ | |
| and truly most, surely lead astray by their desires, without knowledge | وَإِنَّ كَثِيْرًا لَّيُضِلُّوْنَ بِأَهْوَآئِهِمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ | |
| truly your Lord, He knows best of the transgressors | 119 | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالمُعْتَدِيْنَ |
| Leave (forsake) open (obvious) sin and the hidden of it | وَذَرُوا ظَاهِرَ الإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُ | |
| truly those who earn sin will be recompensed for what they used to commit | 120 | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ يَكْسِبُوْنَ الإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوا يَقْتَرِفُوْنَ |
| and do not eat from what the name of Allah (SWT) has not been mentioned on it and indeed, it is a grave sin | وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌ | |
| and truly the devils inspire to their friends to dispute with you | وَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِيْنَ لَيُوْحُوْنَ إِلَى أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوْكُمْ | |
| and if you obey them, indeed, you will be certainly polytheists | 121 | وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوْهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُوْنَ |
| and is who was dead then We gave him life and We made for him light whereby he walks among | أَوَمَنْ كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَاهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُ نُوْرًا يَمْشِي بِهِ فِي | |
| people, like who, his similitude, he is in the darkness’s, not he comes out of it? | النَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِّنْهَا | |
| thus, is made fair seeming to the disbelievers what they used to do | 122 | كَذَلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| and thus, We made in every city the big of its criminals, so they plot | وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَابِرَ مُجْرِمِيْهَا لِيَمْكُرُوا | |
| therein, and not they plot except against themselves and not they perceive | 123 | فِيْهَا وَمَا يَمْكُرُوْنَ إِلَّا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُوْنَ |
| and when came to them signs, they said, “not will we believe until we’re given like what | وَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَةٌ قَالُوا لَن نُّؤْمِنَ حَتَّى نُؤْتَى مِثْلَ مَآ | |
| what the Messengers of Allah (SWT) were given, Allah (SWT) knows best | أُوْتِيَ رُسُلُ اللهِ اللهُ أَعْلَمُ | |
| where He places His message, soon, a humiliation will afflict those who committed crimes | حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُ سَيُصِيْبُ الَّذِيْنَ أَجْرَمُوا صَغَارٌ | |
| from Allah (SWT) and a severe punishment because of what they used to plot | 124 | عِنْدَ اللهِ وَعَذَابٌ شَدِيْدٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَمْكُرُوْنَ |
| so, whoever Allah (SWT) wills to guide him, He expands his breast to submission, and whoever He wills | فَمَنْ يُرِدِ اللهُ أَنْ يَهْدِيَهُ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُ لِلإِسْلَامِ وَمَنْ يُرِدْ | |
| to misguide him, He makes his breast narrow, constricted as though he climbs into | أَن يُضِلَّهُ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي | |
| the sky, thus Allah (SWT) places the wickedness (impurity-abomination-wrath-evil) on those who do not believe | 125 | السَّمَآءِ كَذَلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اللهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| and this is the path of your Lord, straight | وَهَذَا صِرَاطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيْمًا | |
| indeed, We explain the verses to a people who remember (Mindful-God Conscious) | 126 | قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُوْنَ |
| for them the home of peace with their Lord | لَهُمْ دَارُ السَّلَامِ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ | |
| and He will be their protecting friend (Guardian) because of what they used to do | 127 | وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| and the day He will gather them all “O assembly of jinn indeed, you have many of the | وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيْعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ الجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ | |
| people (humans-mankind)” and their friends among the people (mankind) will say | الإِنْسِ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ الإِنْسِ | |
| “Our Lord some of us benefitted by others, and we have reached our term which you appointed for us” | رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا | |
| He will say, “the fire is your home, forever abiding therein” | قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوَاكُمْ خَالِدِيْنَ فِيْهَآ | |
| except what Allah (SWT) wills, indeed, your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing | 128 | إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ اللهُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ |
| thus, We make friends some wrongdoers with others for what they used to earn | 129 | وَكَذَلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُوْنَ |
| “O assembly of jinn and men! did not come to you messengers from among you relating to you | يَا مَعْشَرَ الجِنِّ وَالإِنْسِ أَلَمْ يَاْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنْكُمْ يَقُصُّوْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ | |
| My verses, and warning you of your meeting of this day? they said, “we bear witness against ourselves” | ءَايَاتِي وَيُنْذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا قَالُوا شَهِدْنَا عَلَى أَنْفُسِنَا | |
| so deceived them the life of this world and they bore witness against themselves that they were disbelievers | 130 | وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الحَيَوةُ الدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا كَافِرِيْنَ |
| That is because not is your Lord one who destroys cities for wrongdoing while their people are unaware | 131 | ذَلِكَ أَنْ لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ القُرَى بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَافِلُوْنَ |
| and for everyone degrees of what they did and not is your Lord unaware of what they do | 132 | وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُوا وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| and your Lord is Rich, Possessor of Mercy, if He wills, He can take you away and grant succession | وَرَبُّكَ الغَنِيُّ ذُوْ الرَّحْمَةِ إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ | |
| from after you to whom He wills just as He raised you as descendants of other people | 133 | مِن بَعْدِكُمْ مَّا يَشَآءُ كَمَآ أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِّن ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِيْنَ |
| Indeed, what you are promised is surely coming and not you can frustrate it (escape-cause failure) | 134 | إِنَّ مَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لَآتٍ وَمَآ أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِيْنَ |
| Say, “O my people! do (strive-work) on your position, truly I am working and soon you will know who | قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُوْنَ مَنْ | |
| is for him a home, on returning, truly he, the wrongdoer will not be successful | 135 | تَكُوْنُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلَحُ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| and they made for Allah (SWT) from what He created from the crops and the cattle a share then they say, “this is | وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ الحَرْثِ وَالأَنْعَامِ نَصِيْبًا فَقَالُوا هَذَا | |
| for Allah (SWT)” by their claim “and this is for our partners” but what is for their partners does not reach | لِلَّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَذَا لِشُرَكَآئِنَا فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى | |
| Allah (SWT), while what is for Allah (SWT) then it reaches to their partners, evil is what they judge | 136 | اللهِ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَى شُرَكَآئِهِمْ سَآءَ مَا يَحْكُمُوْنَ |
| and likewise, to many of the polytheists, their partners made it fair seeming, the killing of their children | وَكَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيْرٍ مِّنَ المُشْرِكِيْنَ قَتْلَ أَوْلَادِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ | |
| to ruin them and to obscure for them their religion and if Allah (SWT) willed not they would have done it | لِيُرْدُوْهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُوا عَلَيْهِمْ دِيْنَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ مَا فَعَلُوْهُ | |
| so, leave them and what they invent | 137 | فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُوْنَ |
| and they say, “these are forbidden cattle and crops, not eat them except whom we wish” by their claim | وَقَالُوا هَذِهِ أَنْعَامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لَّا يَطْعَمُهَآ إِلَّا مَن نَّشَآءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ | |
| and cattle their backs are forbidden and cattle not they mention the name of Allah (SWT) upon it | وَأَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُوْرُهَا وَأَنْعَامٌ لَّا يَذْكُرُوْنَ اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهَا | |
| an invention against Him, He will recompense them for what they used to invent | 138 | افْتِرَآءً عَلَيْهِ سَيَجْزِيْهِمْ بَمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُوْنَ |
| and they say, “what is in the wombs of these cattle is exclusively for our males | وَقَالُوا مَا فِي بُطُوْنِ هَذِهِ الأَنْعَامِ خَالِصَةٌ لِّذُكُوْرِنَا | |
| and forbidden for our spouses, but if it is dead then they in it partners | وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِنَا وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مَّيْتَةً فَهُمْ فِيْهِ شُرَكَآءُ | |
| He will recompense them for their attribution, surely, He is All-Wise, All-Knowing | 139 | سَيَجْزِيْهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ إِنَّهُ حَكِيْمٌ عَلِيْمٌ |
| Indeed, lost are who kill their children foolishly without knowledge and forbid what Allah (SWT) provided them | قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِيْنَ قَتَلُوا أَوْلَادَهُمْ سَفَهًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَحَرَّمُوا مَا رَزَقَهُمُ | |
| inventing against Allah (SWT), surely, they strayed and not they are guided ones | 140 | اللهُ افْتِرَآءً عَلَى اللهِ قَدْ ضَلُّوا وَمَا كَانُوا مُهْتَدِيْنَ |
| and He is who produced trellised gardens and other than trellised and the date palm | وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ جَنَّاتٍ مَّعْرُوْشَاتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوْشَاتٍ وَالنَّخْلَ | |
| and the crops, diverse its taste, and the olives and the pomegranates similar and not similar | وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُ وَالزَّيْتُوْنَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ | |
| eat from its fruit when it bears fruit and give its due (right) on the day of its harvest | كُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِهِ إِذَآ أَثْمَرَ وَءَاتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ | |
| and do not exceed truly He does not love the ones who are extravagant | 141 | وَلَا تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ المُسْرِفِيْنَ |
| and from the cattle, for burden and for meat, eat from what Allah (SWT) provided you and do not follow | وَمِنَ الأَنْعَامِ حَمُوْلَةً وَفَرْشًا كُلُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا | |
| the footsteps of Satan, indeed, he is for you an open enemy | 142 | خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِيْنٌ |
| Eight mates (pairs), from the sheep two and from the goats two | ثَمَانِيَةَ أَزْوَاجٍ مِّنَ الضَّأْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ المَعْزِ الثْنَيْنِ | |
| say, “is the two males He has forbidden or the two females or what the wombs of the two females contain in it? | قُلْ ءَآ الذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ | |
| inform me with knowledge if you are truthful” | 143 | نَبِّئُوْنِي بِعِلْمٍ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِيْنَ |
| and from the camels two and from the cows two, say, “is the two males | وَمِنَ الإِبِلِ الثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ البَقَرِ الثْنَيْنِ قُلْ ءَآ الذَّكَرَيْنِ | |
| He has forbidden or the two females or what the wombs of the two females contain in it? or were you witnesses | حَرَّمَ أَمِ الأُنْثَيَيْنَ أَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ أَمْ كُنْتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ | |
| when Allah (SWT) enjoined you with this so, who is more wrong than who invents to Allah (SWT) | إِذْ وَصَّاكُمُ اللهُ بِهَذَا فَمَن أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللهِ | |
| a lie, to mislead the people without knowledge? surely Allah (SWT) guides not the wrongdoing people | 144 | كَذِبًا لِّيُضِلَّ النَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَهْدِي القَوْمَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| Say, “not I find in what was revealed to me forbidden to an eater eating it | قُل لَّآ أَجِدُ فِي مَآ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَى طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ | |
| except that it be dead, or blood poured forth or flesh of swine | إِلَّآ أَنْ يَكُوْنَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دمًا مَّسْفُوْحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنْزِيْرٍ | |
| for truly it is impure (filth) or disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah (SWT) with it | فَإِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أَهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللهِ بِهِ | |
| but whoever is compelled not desiring and not transgressing then truly your Lord is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 145 | فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
| and on those who are jew We forbade every (animal) possessing claws and from the cows and the sheep | وَعَلَى الَّذِيْنَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِي ظُفُرٍ وَمِنَ البَقَرِ وَالغَنَمِ | |
| We forbade to them their fat except what their backs or the entrails carried or what | حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَآ إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُوْرُهُمَآ أَوِ الحَوَايَآ | |
| is joined with the bone, that, We recompensed them for their rebellion and surely, We are certainly truthful | 146 | أَوْ مَا اخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍ ذَلِكَ جَزَيْنَاهُمْ بِبَغْيِهِمْ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُوْنَ |
| but if they deny you then say, “Your Lord is the possessor of vast mercy | فَإِنْ كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل رَّبُّكُمْ ذُو رَحْمَةٍ وَاسِعَةٍ | |
| and not will His wrath be turned back from the criminal people | 147 | وَلَا يُرَدُّ بَأْسُهُ عَنِ القَوْمِ المُجْرِمِيْنَ |
| Those who associated with Allah (SWT) will say, “If Allah (SWT) willed, we would not have associated partners | سَيَقُوْلُ الَّذِيْنَ أَشْرَكُوا لَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ مَآ أَشْرَكْنَا | |
| nor our fathers and not would we have forbidden from anything” | وَلَآ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ | |
| Likewise, those from before them denied until they tasted Our Wrath | كَذَالِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ حَتَّى ذَاقُوا بَأْسَنَا | |
| Say, “Is with you from knowledge that you can produce it for us?” | قُلْ هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِّنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَآ | |
| not you follow except the assumption and not you but guess | 148 | إِنْ تَتَّبِعُوْنَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ أَنْتُمْ إِلَّا تَخْرُصُوْنَ |
| Say, “With Allah (SWT) is the conclusive argument and if He willed indeed, He would have guided you all” | 149 | قُلْ فَلِلَّهِ الحُجَّةُ البَالِغَةُ فَلَوْ شَآءَ لَهَدَاكُمْ أَجْمَعِيْنَ |
| Say, “bring forward your witnesses who testified that Allah (SWT) prohibited (forbade) this” | قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَآءَكُمُ الَّذِيْنَ يَشْهَدُوْنَ أَنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَ هَذَا | |
| then if they testify then do not testify with them | فَإِنْ شَهِدُوا فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ | |
| and do not follow the desires of those who denied Our signs and who do not believe in the hereafter | وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَآءَ الَّذِيْنَ كَذَّبُوا بِئَايَاتِنَا وَالَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالآخِرَةِ | |
| and they ascribe equals with their Lord | 150 | وَهُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُوْنَ |
| Say, “come, I will recite what your Lord prohibited to you, to not associate with Him anything | قُلْ تَعَالُوْا أَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَلَّا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا | |
| and with the parents, be excellent and do not kill your children from poverty, We provide for you | وَبِالوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلَادَكُم مِّنْ إِمْلَاقٍ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ | |
| and for them, and don’t go near to immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is concealed | وَإِيَّاهُمْ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ | |
| and don’t kill the soul which Allah (SWT) prohibited except by right | وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللهُ إِلَّا بِالحَقِّ | |
| that He enjoined on you by it so that you may reason” | 151 | ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُوْنَ |
| and don’t go near the wealth of the orphan except with which it is best until he reaches his maturity | وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا مَالَ اليَتِيْمِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُ | |
| and fulfil the measure and the weight with justice, not We burden a soul except its capacity | وَأَوْفُوا الكَيْلَ وَالمِيْزَانَ بِالقِسْطِ لَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا | |
| and when you speak, then be just even if he is close and the promise of Allah (SWT) fulfill | وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُوا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَى وَبِعَهْدِ اللهِ أَوْفُوا | |
| that He enjoined on you with it, so that you may remember (be mindful-fear-be aware) | 152 | ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ |
| and that, this is My path, straight, so follow it and don’t follow paths that separate you | وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيْمًا فَاتَّبِعُوْهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ | |
| from His path that is enjoined upon you so that you may be God-Fearing (pious-remember-righteous) | 153 | عَنْ سَبِيْلِهِ ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُوْنَ |
| then We gave Moosa (AS) the book, complete on who did good and an explanation of everything | ثُمَّ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوْسَى الكِتَابَ تَمَامًا عَلَى الَّذِي أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيْلًا لِّكُلِّ | |
| and a guidance and a mercy so that they, concerning meeting their Lord, believe | 154 | شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| and this is a book, We revealed it, blessed, so follow it and fear so you may receive mercy | 155 | وَهَذَا كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوْهُ وَاتَّقُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ |
| lest you say, “only the book was revealed upon the two groups from before us | أَنْ تَقُوْلُوا إِنَّمَآ أُنْزِلَ الكِتَابُ عَلَى طَآئِفَتَيْنِ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا | |
| and we were about their study indeed, unaware” | 156 | وَإِنْ كُنَّا عَنْ دِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغَافِلِيْنَ |
| or you say, “that, if the book was revealed to us surely, we would have been better guided than them” | أَوْ تَقُوْلُوا لَوْ أَنَّآ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الكِتَابُ لَكُنَّآ أَهْدَى مِنْهُمْ | |
| so, verily came to you clear proofs from your Lord and a guidance and a mercy, then who is more unjust | فَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ | |
| than he who denies the signs of Allah (SWT) and turns away from it, We will recompense who | مِمَّنْ كَذَّبَ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا سَنَجْزِي الَّذِيْنَ | |
| turn away from our Signs an evil punishment because they used to turn away | 157 | يَصْدِفُوْنَ عَنْ ءَايَاتِنَا سُوْءَ العَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَصْدِفُوْنَ |
| Do they see (expect) except that the angels come to them, or their Lord comes | هَلْ يَنْظُرُوْنَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ المَلَآئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ | |
| or part of the signs of your Lord comes? the day when part of the signs of your Lord comes | أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ ءَايَاتِ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي بَعْضُ ءَايَاتِ رَبِّكَ | |
| its faith will not benefit a soul, not it had believed from before | لَا يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيْمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ ءَامَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ | |
| or earned good through its faith (belief), say, “Wait! We too are waiting” | 158 | أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيْمَانِهَا خَيْرًا قُلِ انْتَظِرُوا إِنَّا مُنْتَظِرُوْنَ |
| truly who divided their religion and became sects, you are not with them in anything | إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ فَرَّقُوا دِيْنَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ | |
| only their affair is with Allah (SWT) then He will inform them of what they used to do | 159 | إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى اللهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُوْنَ |
| whoever came with a good deed then for him ten times like it and whoever came with an evil deed | مَنْ جَآءَ بِالحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا وَمَن جَآءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ | |
| then not will he be recompensed except the like of it and they will not be wronged | 160 | فَلَا يُجْزَى إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُوْنَ |
| say, “truly me, my Lord has guided me to a straight path | قُلْ إِنَّنِي هَدَانِي رَبِّي إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ | |
| a religion, right, way (religion) of Ebrahim (AS) upright and not he was of the polytheists” | 161 | دِيْنًا قَيِّمًا مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ حَنِيْفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ المُشْرِكِيْنَ |
| Say, “Indeed, my prayer and my sacrifice and my living and my dying are for Allah (SWT) Lord of the worlds | 162 | قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِيْنَ |
| no partners for Him and with that I have been commanded and I am the first of the ones to submit | 163 | لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَاْ أَوَّلُ المُسْلِمِيْنَ |
| Say, “Is other than Allah (SWT) I (should) seek a Lord, while He is the Lord of everything?” | قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللهِ أَبْغِي رَبًّا وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ | |
| and not earns every soul except for/against itself and not bears a bearer a burden of another | وَلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ إِلَّا عَلَيْهَا وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى | |
| then to your Lord is your return then He will inform you of what you were concerning it, differing | 164 | ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُم مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُوْنَ |
| and He is who made you successors in the earth and raised some of you above others | وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَآئِفَ الأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ | |
| in rank to test you in what He gave you | دَرَجَاتٍ لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَآ ءَاتَاكُمْ | |
| truly your Lord is swift in punishment and truly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | 165 | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيْعُ العِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
