Chapter 77
Chapter 77 of the holy Quran with full Arabic text and English translation (Surah Al-Mursalat – سُوْرَةُ المُرْسَلَاتِ – Those sent forth)
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Eternally Merciful
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ
| Part 29 / Chapter 77 | Chapter 77 / تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ المُلْكُ | |
| By the ones sent forth successfully | 1 | وَالمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا |
| and by the ones that blow, blowing | 2 | فَالعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا |
| and by the ones that scatter, scattering | 3 | وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا |
| and by the ones who separate, separating | 4 | فَالفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا |
| and by the ones who offer a reminder | 5 | فَالمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا |
| excusing or warning | 6 | عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا |
| Indeed, what you are promised will certainly occur | 7 | إِنَّمَا تُوْعَدُوْنَ لَوَاقِعٌ |
| Then when the stars are obliterated | 8 | فَإِذَا النُّجُوْمُ طُمِسَتْ |
| and when the heaven is split into pieces | 9 | وَإِذَا السَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ |
| and when the mountains are scattered | 10 | وَإِذَا الجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ |
| and when the messengers time comes | 11 | وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ |
| for what day are (these signs) deferred? | 12 | لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ |
| For the day of judgement (decision, sorting out) | 13 | لِيَوْمِ الفَصْلِ |
| and what will make you know what the day of judgement is? | 14 | وَمَآ أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الفَصْلِ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 15 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| Did We not destroy the former (people)? | 16 | أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الأَوَّلِيْنَ |
| then We cause them to be followed by the later (generations) ones | 17 | ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الآخِرِيْنَ |
| like that We do with the criminals | 18 | كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالمُجْرِمِيْنَ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 19 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| Did We not create you from an insignificant water (drop of fluid)? | 20 | أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُّمْ مِّنْ مَّآءٍ مَّهِيْنٍ |
| then We made (placed) it in a secure abode | 21 | فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِيْنٍ |
| for a known period | 22 | إِلَى قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ |
| thus, We proportioned and excellent the Ones Who Proportion | 23 | فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ القَادِرُوْنَ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 24 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| Did We not make the earth a housing? | 25 | أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا |
| living and dead | 26 | أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَاتًا |
| and We made in it, lofty firm mountains | وَجَعَلْنَا فِيْهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ | |
| and We will give you sweet water to drink | 27 | وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَآءً فُرَاتًا |
| woe that day to the deniers | 28 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| “Proceed you to what you used to deny” | 29 | انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ |
| “Proceed you to a shadow possessing three columns” | 30 | انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ |
| “Neither shade nor availing from the flame” | 31 | لَّا ظَلِيْلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ |
| indeed, it throws sparks (huge) like the castle | 32 | إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالقَصْرِ |
| as if they are yellow camels | 33 | كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 34 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| that is a day of not speaking | 35 | هَذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُوْنَ |
| and not will it be permitted for them to make excuses | 36 | وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُوْنَ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 37 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| that is the day of judgement, We will gather you and the former (people) | 38 | هَذَا يَوْمُ الفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالأَوَّلِيْنَ |
| so, if there is for you a way (plot, plan, scheme) then plan, against Me | 39 | فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيْدُوْنِ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 40 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| Verily, the God fearing will be in shades and springs | 41 | إِنَّ المُتَّقِيْنَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُوْنٍ |
| and fruits of what they desire | 42 | وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُوْنَ |
| “Eat and drink to satisfaction because of what you used to do” | 43 | كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيْئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| Verily, like that We reward the ones who excel | 44 | إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي المُحْسِنِيْنَ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 45 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| Eat and enjoy a little, indeed you are criminals | 46 | كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيْلًا إِنَّكُمْ مُّجْرِمُوْنَ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 47 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| and when it is said to them, “Bow” they do not bow | 48 | وَإِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُوْنَ |
| woe that day to the deniers | 49 | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| then which narration after it they will believe? | 50 | فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيْثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
