| Part 30 / Chapter 78 | Chapter 78 / عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُوْنَ | |
| About what are they asking each other? | 1 | عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُوْنَ |
| about the great news | 2 | عَنِ النَّبَإِ العَظِيْمِ |
| which they are in disagreement about | 3 | الَّذِي هُمْ فِيْهِ مُخْتَلِفُوْنَ |
| Nay! soon they will come to know | 4 | كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| Again nay! soon they will come to know | 5 | ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُوْنَ |
| Have We not made the earth a resting place? | 6 | أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الأَرْضَ مِهَادًا |
| and the mountains as pegs | 7 | وَالجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا |
| and We created you in pairs | 8 | وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا |
| and We made your sleep as a form of rest | 9 | وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا |
| and We made the night as a covering | 10 | وَجَعَلْنَا الَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا |
| and We made the day for livelihood | 11 | وَجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا |
| and We built above you seven strong | 12 | وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا |
| and We made a burning lamp | 13 | وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا |
| and We sent down from the clouds abundant water | 14 | وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ المُعْصِرَاتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًا |
| that We made bring forth thereby grain and vegetation | 15 | لِنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا |
| and gardens of thick growth | 16 | وَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافًا |
| Indeed, the day of judgement is an appointed time | 17 | إِنَّ يَوْمَ الفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيْقَاتًا |
| the day the trumpet will be blown, and you will come forth in crowds | 18 | يَوْمَ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّوْرِ فَتَأْتُوْنَ أَفْوَاجًا |
| and the heaven will be opened and be doors | 19 | وَفُتِحَتِ السَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَابًا |
| and the mountains are moved and become a mirage | 20 | وَسُيِّرَتِ الجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا |
| truly hell is lying in wait | 21 | إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا |
| for the transgressors, a place of return | 22 | لِلطَّاغِيْنَ مَئَابًا |
| remaining therein for ages | 23 | لَابِثِيْنَ فِيهآ أَحْقَابًا |
| not they will taste therein coolness nor drink | 24 | لَّا يَذُوْقُوْنَ فِيْهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا |
| except scalding water and darkness | 25 | إِلَّا حَمِيْمًا وَغَسَّاقًا |
| an appropriate recompense | 26 | جَزَآءً وِفَاقًا |
| indeed, they were not expecting to account | 27 | إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُوْنَ حِسَابًا |
| and they denied Our signs, with a denying | 28 | وَكَذَّبُوا بِئَايَاتِنَا كِذَّابًا |
| and everything We have enumerated in a book | 29 | وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ كِتَابًا |
| so, taste and not will We increase for you but punishment | 30 | فَذُوْقُوا فَلَنْ نَزِيْدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا |
| truly, for the mindful is success | 31 | إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ مَفَازًا |
| gardens and vineyards | 32 | حَدَآءِقَ وَأَعْنَابًا |
| and splendid companions, well matched | 33 | وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا |
| and a cup, full | 34 | وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا |
| not, will they hear therein any vain talk nor falsehood | 35 | لَا يَسْمَعُوْنَ فِيْهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا |
| a reward from your Lord, a gift in account | 36 | جَزَآءً مِّنْ رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًا |
| Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them | رَّبِّ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا | |
| the Most-Gracious, not will they have power from Him (to) address | 37 | الرَّحْمَانِ لَا يَمْلِكُوْنَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا |
| the day the spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak | يَوْمَ يَقُوْمُ الرُّوْحُ وَالمَلَآئِكَةُ صَفًّا لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُوْنَ | |
| except whom the Most-Merciful permits him and he will say what is correct | 38 | إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَانُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا |
| that is the true day so who wills, let him take towards his lord, a return | 39 | ذَلِكَ اليَوْمُ الحَقُّ فَمَنْ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ مَئَابًا |
| Indeed, We warn you of a near punishment | إِنَّآ أَنْذَرْنَاكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيْبًا | |
| the day when man will see what his hands have sent forth | يَوْمَ يَنْظُرُ المَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ | |
| and the disbeliever will say, “woe to me! would that I be dust” | 40 | وَيَقُوْلُ الكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنْتُ تُرَابًا |
