Chapter 82
Chapter 82 of the holy Quran with full Arabic text and English translation (Surah Al-Infitar – سُوْرَةُ الإِنْفِطَارِ – The cleaving)
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Eternally Merciful
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ
| Part 30 / Chapter 82 | Chapter 82 / عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُوْنَ | |
| When the sky is cleft asunder (split open) | 1 | إِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْفَطَرَتْ |
| and when the stars are scattered | 2 | وَإِذَا الكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ |
| and when the seas are caused to gush forth | 3 | وَإِذَا البِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ |
| and when the graves are overturned | 4 | وَإِذَا القُبُوْرُ بُعْثِرَتْ |
| a soul will know what it has sent forth and left behind | 5 | عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ |
| O man! what has deceived you concerning your Lord? the Most Generous | 6 | يَآ أَيُّهَا الإِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الكَرِيْمِ |
| Who created you, then proportioned you, then balanced you | 7 | الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ |
| in whatever form which He willed; He assembled you | 8 | فِي أَيِّ صُوْرَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ |
| Nay! but you deny the judgement | 9 | كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُوْنَ بِالدِّيْنِ |
| and certainly, over you are indeed guardians (watchers) | 10 | وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِيْنَ |
| Noble, recording | 11 | كِرَامًا كَاتِبِيْنَ |
| They know whatever you do | 12 | يَعْلَمُوْنَ مَا تَفْعَلُوْنَ |
| Truly the righteous will certainly be in bliss | 13 | إِنَّ الأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيْمٍ |
| and truly the wicked will certainly be in hellfire | 14 | وَإِنَّ الفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيْمٍ |
| They will burn in it on the day of judgement | 15 | يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّيْنِ |
| and not will they be absent from it | 16 | وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِيْنَ |
| and what will make you know what the day of judgement is? | 17 | وَمَآ أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّيْنِ |
| Again, what will make you know what the day of judgement is? | 18 | ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّيْنِ |
| the day when no soul shall have power over another | يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا | |
| for the decision that day will belong to Allah (SWT) | 19 | وَالأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ |
