Chapter 84
Chapter 84 of the holy Quran with full Arabic text and English translation (Surah Al-Inshiqaq – سُوْرَةُ الإِنْشِقَاقِ – Splitting asunder)
In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Eternally Merciful
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَانِ الرَّحِيْمِ
| Part 30 / Chapter 84 | Chapter 84 / عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُوْنَ | |
| When the heaven is split asunder | 1 | إِذَا السَّمَآءُ انْشَقَّتْ |
| and succumbs to its Lord, as is His Right | 2 | وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ |
| and when the earth is stretched forth | 3 | وَإِذَا الأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ |
| and has cast out all that were in it and became empty | 4 | وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيْهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ |
| and succumbs to its Lord, as is His Right | 5 | وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ |
| O man! | يَآ أَيُّهَا الإِنْسَانُ | |
| truly you are returning to your Lord, a sure returning | إِنَّكَ كَادِحٌ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا | |
| then you will be the one who meets Him | 6 | فَمُلَاقِيْهِ |
| Then as for him who will be given his book of deeds in his right hand | 7 | فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوْتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِيْنِهِ |
| then soon his account will be taken with an easy reckoning | 8 | فَسَوْفَ يُحَاسَبُ حِسَابًا يَسِيْرًا |
| and he will return to his family in joy | 9 | وَيَنْقَلِبُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُوْرًا |
| As for who will be given his book of deeds behind his back | 10 | وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوْتِيَ كِتَابَهُ وَرَآءَ ظَهْرِهِ |
| then soon he will be begging for (his own) destruction | 11 | فَسَوْفَ يَدْعُوا ثُبُوْرًا |
| and he will burn in a blaze | 12 | وَيَصْلَى سَعِيْرًا |
| Verily, he was among his people in joy | 13 | إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِي أَهْلِهِ مَسْرُوْرًا |
| Verily, he thought that he would never return (to Us) | 14 | إِنَّهُ ظَنَّ أَنْ لَّنْ يَحُوْرَ |
| Yes indeed, certainly his Lord was ever Seeing of him | 15 | بَلَى إِنَّ رَبَّهُ كَانَ بِهِ بَصِيْرًا |
| So no, I swear by the twilight | 16 | فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ |
| and by the night and what it envelops | 17 | وَالَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ |
| and by the moon when it becomes full | 18 | وَالقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ |
| you will certainly travel stage to stage | 19 | لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍ |
| so, what is with them that they do not believe | 20 | فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ |
| And when the Quran is recited to them, they fall not prostrate | 21 | وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ القُرْءَانُ لَا يَسْجُدُوْنَ |
| yes indeed, those who disbelieved are deniers (of the truth) | 22 | بَلِ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا يُكَذِّبُوْنَ |
| but Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing of what they keep within themselves (hide) | 23 | وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوْعُوْنَ |
| so, give them news of a painful punishment | 24 | فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيْمٍ |
| except those who believe and do good deeds | إِلَّا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ | |
| for them is a reward that will never end | 25 | لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُوْنٍ |
