الْجِبَالِ

Verse | ||
and when Moosa (AS) came to Our appointment and his Lord spoke to him | وَلَمَّا جَآءَ مُوْسَى لِمِيْقَاتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُ رَبُّهُ | |
he said, “O my Lord! show me so I may look at You” | قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي أَنْظُرْ إِلَيْكَ | |
He said, “not you will (able) see Me but look at the mountain | قَال لَنْ تَرَانِي وَلَاكِنِ انْظُرْ إِلَى الجَبَلِ | |
if it remains in its place then you shall see Me” | فَإِنِ اسْتَقَرَّ مَكَانَهُ فَسَوْفَ تَرَانِي | |
so, when his Lord revealed His Glory to the mountains | فَلَمَّا تَجَلَّى رَبُّهُ لِلْجَبَلِ | |
He made it levelled and Moosa (AS) fell down unconscious | جَعَلَهُ دَكًّا وَخَرَّ مُوْسَى صَعِقًا | |
and when he recovered, he said, “glory be to You! | فَلَمَّآ أَفَاقَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ | |
7-143 | I turn to you (repenting) and I am the first of the believers” | تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَأَنَاْ أَوَّلُ المُؤْمِنِيْنَ |
and it sailed with them on the waves like mountains | وَهِيَ تَجْرِي بِهِمْ فِيْ مَوْجٍ كَالجِبَالِ | |
and Nuh (AS) called out to his son | وَنَادَى نُوْحٌ ابْنَهُ | |
and he was in apart, “O my son! Embark with us | وَكَانَ فِيْ مَعْزِلٍ يَا بُنَيَّ ارْكَبْ مَّعَنَا | |
11-42 | and do not be with the disbelievers” | وَلَا تَكُن مَّعَ الكَافِرِيْنَ |
