ءَايَاتِ
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – ءَايَاتِ is a noun
A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive
الءَايَاتُ is the natural state of this definite noun and it becomes الءَايَاتِ due to: 1) a preposition that precedes it or 2) a possessed noun that precedes it or 3) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym
الءَايَاتِ loses it’s definite article, becoming ءَايَاتِ due to it being a possessed noun

Verse | ||
However, those who disbelieve and belie Our Signs | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَكَذَّبُوْا بِئَايَاتِنَآ | |
2-39 | Those are the companions of the fire They shall abide therein forever | أُوْلَآئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيْهَا خَالِدُوْنَ |
And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is with you | وَءَامِنُوْا بِمَآ أَنْزَلْتُ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ | |
and be not the first to disbelieve therein | وَلَا تَكُوْنُوْا أَوَّلَ كَافِرٍ بِهِ | |
and purchase not with my verses a small price (gain) | وَلَا تَشْتَرُوْا بِئَايَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيْلً | |
2-41 | and fear (be conscious of) Me, only Me | وَإِيَّايَ فَاتَّقُوْنِ |
And when you said “O Moses we cannot endure one kind of food | وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوْسَى لَنْ نَّصْبِرَ عَلَى طَعَامٍ وَاحِدٍ | |
so, invoke your Lord for us to bring forth for us of what the earth grows | فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الأَرْضُ | |
of its herbs, its cucumbers, its wheat/garlic, its lentils and its onions” | مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَ قِثَّآئِهَا وَفَوْمِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَا | |
He said “Would you exchange for that which is lesser with that which is better? | قَالَ أَتَسْتَبْدِلُوْنَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ | |
Go you down to a town and you shall find what you are asking for” | اهْبِطُوْا مِصْرًا فَإِنَّ لَكُمْ مَّا سَأَلْتُمْ | |
And they were covered with humiliation and misery | وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالمَسْكَنَةُ | |
as they drew on themselves the Wrath of Allah (SWT) | وَبَآءُوْا بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللهِ | |
that due to their disbelieving in the signs of Allah (SWT) | ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوْا يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِئَايَاتِ اللهِ | |
and killing the Prophets without right | وَيَقْتُلُوْنَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ بِغَيْرِ الحَقِّ | |
2-61 | that was because they disobeyed and were transgressing | ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَّكَانُوْا يَعْتَدُوْنَ |

62-2 | and verily, they were, before, in clear error | وَإِنْ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِيْنٍ |

74-16 | nay! truly he has been towards Our signs, stubborn | كَلَّآ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لِآيَاتِنَا عَنِيْدًا |
78-28 | and they denied Our signs, with a denying | وَكَذَّبُوا بِئَايَاتِنَا كِذَّابًا |
90-19 | but those who disbelieved in our signs they are the companions of the left hand | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا بِئَايَاتِنَا هُمْ أَصْحَابُ المَشْئَمَةِ |
