التَّقْوَى
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – التَّقْوَى is a noun
A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive
التَّقْوَى is the natural state of this definite noun and it becomes التَّقْوَى due to: 1) a preposition that precedes it or 2) a possessed noun that precedes it or 3) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym

Verse | ||
The Hajj is in well-known months so, whoever undertakes therein the hajj | الحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيْهِنَّ الحَجَّ | |
then no sexual relations nor wickedness nor quarrelling in the hajj | فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوْقَ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِي الحَجِّ | |
and whatever you do of good Allah (SWT) knows it | وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللهُ | |
and take a provision but the best provision is piety (righteousness) | وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى | |
2-197 | so, fear Me, o men of understanding | وَاتَّقُوْنِ يَآ أُوْلِى الأَلْبَابِ |
and if you divorce them from before that you touch them | وَإِنْ طَلَّقْتُمُوْهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ تَمَسُّوْهُنَّ | |
and indeed, you have specified for them an obligation then half of what you specified | وَقَدْ فَرَضْتُمْ لَهُنَّ فَرِيْضَةً فَنِصْفُ مَا فَرَضْتُمْ | |
unless that they forgo it or the one in whose hand is the knot of marriage forgoes | إِلَّآ أَنْ يَعْفُوْنَ أَوْ يَعْفُوا الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ عُقْدَةُ النِّكَاحِ | |
and that you forgo is closer to righteousness and dont forget the bounty among you | وَإِنْ تَعْفُوا أَقْرَبَ لِلتَّقْوَى وَلَا تَنْسَوُا الفَضْلَ بَيْنَكُمْ | |
2-237 | indeed, Allah (SWT) is All-Seeing of what you do | إِنَّ اللهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ بَصِيْرٌ |
O you who believe! Don’t you make lawful the symbols of Allah (SWT) nor the sacred month | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لَا تُحِلُّوا شَعَآئِرَ اللهِ وَلَا الشَّهْرَ الحَرَامَ | |
nor the sacrificial animal nor the garlanded nor coming to the sacred house | وَلَا الهَدْيَ وَلَا القَلَآئِدَ وَلَا ءَآمِّيْنَ البَيْتَ الحَرَامَ | |
seeking bounty from their Lord and good pleasure | يَبْتَغُوْنَ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَانًا | |
and when you (descend) are lawful then hunt and don’t let hatred of a people incite you | وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُوا وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَئَانُ قَوْمٍ | |
as they stopped you from the sacred mosque that you transgress and help each other | أَنْ صَدُّوْكُمْ عَنِ المَسْجِدِ الحَرَامِ أَنْ تَعْتَدُوا وَتَعَاوَنُوا | |
to righteousness and piety but don’t help each other to sin and transgression | عَلَى البِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الإِثْمِ وَالعُدْوَانِ | |
5-2 | and fear Allah (SWT) indeed, Allah (SWT) is severe in penalty | وَاتَّقُوا اللهَ إِنَّ اللهَ شَدِيْدُ العِقَابِ |
O you who believe! be steadfast for Allah (SWT) witnesses for justice | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا كُوْنُوا قَوَّامِيْنَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَآءَ بِالقِسْطِ | |
and let not hatred of a people incite you so upon that not you do justice | وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَئَانُ قَوْمٍ عَلَى أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا | |
be just, it is nearer to piety and fear Allah (SWT) | اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُوا اللهَ | |
5-8 | Indeed, Allah (SWT) is All-Aware of what you do | إِنَّ اللهَ خَبِيْرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ |
O children of Adam! “Verily We sent down to you clothing, it covers your shame and an adornment” | يَا بَنِي ءَادَمَ قَدْ أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْئَاتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا | |
but the clothing of righteousness, that is best | وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَى ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ | |
7-26 | that is from the verses of Allah (SWT) so that they may remember | ذَلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَاتِ اللهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُوْنَ |
don’t stand in it ever, certainly a place of worship founded on the righteousness from the first day | لَا تَقُمْ فِيْهِ أَبَدًا لَّمَسْجِدٌ أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوَى مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ | |
is more worthy that you stand in it, within it are men who love to purify themselves | أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَقُوْمَ فِيْهِ فِيْهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّوْنَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا | |
9-108 | and Allah (SWT) loves the ones who purify themselves | وَاللهُ يُحِبُّ المُطَّهِّرِيْنَ |
