خَيْرُ
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – خَيْرُ is a noun
A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive
الخَيْرُ is the natural state of a definite noun and it is in this state ( مَرْفُوْعٌ) when the noun is: 1) the subject المُبْتَدَأُ or 2) the predicate الخَبَرُ or 3) اسْمُ كَانَ or 4) خَبَرُ إِنَّ or 5) الفَاعِلُ subject of a verb in the active voice or 6) نَائِبُ الفَاعِلِ subject of a verb in the passive voice or 7) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym
الخَيْرُ loses it’s definite article, changing to خَيْرُ due to it being a possessed noun

Isa, son of Maryam said, “O Allah (SWT), our Lord! send to us from the heaven a table spread | قَالَ عِيْسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَآ أَنْزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِنَ السَّمَآءِ | |
that there may be for us, for the first and the last of us a festival and a sign from You | تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيْدًا لِأَوَّلِنَا وَءَاخِرِنَا وَءَايَةً مِنْكَ | |
5-114 | and provide us as You are the best of providers” | وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِيْنَ |
say, “truly I am on clear proof from my Lord, while you deny it” not with me what you seek to hasten of it | قُلْ إِنِّي عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّي وَكَذَّبْتُمْ بِهِ مَا عِنْدِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوْنَ بِهِ | |
6-57 | not is the decision except for Allah (SWT), He relates the truth and He is the best of Deciders (Judges) | إِنِ الحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ يَقُصُّ الحَقَّ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الفَاصِلِيْنَ |
and if was a group among you (who) believed in that which I was sent with it, and a group | وَإِنْ كَانَ طَآئِفَةٌ مِّنْكُمْ ءَامَنُوا بِالَّذِي أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِ وَطَآئِفَةٌ | |
7-87 | who didn’t believe then be patient till Allah (SWT) judges between us and He is the best of the judges | لَّمْ يُؤْمِنُوا فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى يَحْكُمَ اللهُ بَيْنَنَا وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الحَاكِمِيْنَ |
Indeed, we would invent against Allah (SWT) a lie if we returned in your religion after Allah (SWT) saved us | قَدِ افْتَرَيْنَا عَلَى اللهِ كَذِبًا إِنْ عُدْنَا فِي مِلَّتِكُم بَعْدَ إِذْ نَجَّيْنَا اللهُ | |
from it, and not it is for us that we return in it except that Allah (SWT) our Lord wills | مِنْهَا وَمَا يَكُوْنُ لَنَآ أَن نَّعُوْدَ فِيْهَآ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ اللهُ رَبُّنَا | |
our Lord encompasses everything in knowledge, upon Allah (SWT) we put our trust | وَسِعَ رَبُّنَا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا عَلَى اللهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا | |
7-89 | our Lord, decide (give victory) between us and between our people in truth and You are best of those who decide (opener) | رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالحَقِّ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الفَاتِحِيْنَ |
