يَوْمَئِذٍ
A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – يَوْمَئِذٍ is a noun A noun may either be 1) Definite or indefinite 2) Masculine or feminine 3) Singular, dual or plural 4) Nominative, accusative or genitive يَوْمَئِذٌ is the natural state of this indefinite noun and it becomes يَوْمَئِذٍ due to: 1) a preposition that precedes it or 2) a possessed noun that precedes it or 3) it’s a noun of dependent declension a) نَعْتٌ / صِفَطٌ adjectives b) التَّوْكِيْدُ emphatic c) المَعْطُوْفٌ conjunction d) البَدَلُ synonym That day To be one, exist for a day, spend, last a day |

| and to make evident those who are hypocrites | وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِيْنَ نَافَقُوا | |
| and it is said to them “Come fight in the way of Allah (SWT) or defend” | وَقِيْلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالُوا قَاتِلُوا فِي سَبِيْلِ اللهِ أَوِ ادْفَعُوا | |
| they said, “if we knew fighting, we would certainly have followed you” | قَالُوا لَوْ نَعْلَمُ قِتَالًا لَّاتَّبَعْنَاكُمْ | |
| they on that day, disbelieve was nearer to them than faith | هُمْ لِلْكُفْرِ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَقْرَبُ مِنْهُمْ لِلْإِيْمَانِ | |
| they say with their mouths what is not in their hearts | يَقُوْلُوْنَ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ مَّا لَيْسَ فِي قُلُوْبِهِمْ | |
| 3-167 | and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing of what they conceal | وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَكْتُمُوْنَ |
| on that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger will wish | يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا وَعَصَوُا الرَّسُوْلَ | |
| 4-42 | if the earth was levelled with them and not, they will conceal from Allah (SWT) any statement | لَوْ تًسَوَّى بِهِمُ الأَرْضُ وَلَا يَكْتُمُوْنَ اللهَ حَدِيْثًا |
| Who is averted from it, on that day | مَّنْ يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ | |
| 6-16 | then indeed He showed mercy to him and that is a clear success | فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُ وَذَلِكَ الفَوْزُ المُبِيْنُ |
| 7-8 | and the weighing on that day will be the truth so, whose scale is heavy then those will be the successful ones | وَالوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الحَقُّ فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِيْنُهُ فَأُوْلَآئِكَ هُمُ المُفْلِحُوِنَ |
| and whoever turns to them his back, on that day except as a strategy of war | وَمَن يُوَلِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ دُبُرَهُ إِلَّا مُتَحَرِّفًا لِّقِتَالٍ | |
| or to join to a group then indeed, he incurred the anger of Allah (SWT) | أَوْ مُتَحَيِّزًا إِلَى فِئَةٍ فَقَدْ بَآءَ بِغَضَبٍ مِّنَ اللهِ | |
| 8-16 | and his abode is Hell, an evil destination | وَمَأْوَاهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ المَصِيْرِ |
| so, when Our commandment came, We saved Salih (AS) and those who believed with him by a mercy | فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّينَا صَالِحًا وَالَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ | |
| 11-66 | from Us and from the disgrace of that day, truly, your Lord, He is All-Strong, All-Mighty | مِّنَّا وَمِن خِزْىِ يَوْمَئِذٍ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ القَوِىُّ العَزِيْزُ |

| 75-22 | faces that day will be radiant | وَجُوْهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ |
| 75-24 | faces that day will be frowning | وَوُجُوْهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ |
| 75-30 | to your Lord that day, the drive | إِلَى رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ |
| 77-15 | woe that day to the deniers | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |

| 80-38 | (some) faces that day will be bright | وُجُوْهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ |
| 80-40 | and (other) faces that day, on them dust | وَوُجُوْهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ |
| the day when no soul shall have power over another | يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا | |
| 82-19 | for the decision that day will belong to Allah (SWT) | وَالأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ |
| 83-10 | Woe that day to the deniers | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ |
| 83-15 | Nay! truly they will be veiled from their Lord, that day | كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوْبُوْنَ |
| 88-2 | Faces that day will be humiliated | وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ |
| 88-8 | Faces that day will be joyful | وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ |
| 89-23 | and on that day, Hell, will be brought near, on that day man will remember, but how will that remembrance avail him? | وَجِاْئَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الإِنْسَانُ وَأَنَّى لَهُ الذِّكْرَى |
| 89-25 | So on that day none will punish as He will punish | فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ |
| 99-4 | On that day she will declare her secrets | يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا |
| 99-6 | On that day mankind will proceed in groups to be shown their deeds | يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ |
| 100-11 | Truly, on that day, their Lord will be well acquainted with them | إِنَّ رَبَّهُمْ بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَخَبِيرٌ |
| 102-8 | Then you will certainly be asked on that day about the pleasures | ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ |
