عَنِ

A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – عَنِ is a particle

Verse
They ask you about the new moons, say these are indicators of periods for the peopleيَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الأَهِلَّةِ قُلْ هِيَ مَوَاقِيْتُ لِلنَّاسِ
and the pilgrimage and it is not piety to enter the houses from the backوَالحَجِّ وَلَيْسَ البِرُّ بِأَنْ تَأْتُوْا البُيُوْتَ مِنْ ظُهُوْرِهَا
but piety is who is God-Conscious (mindful of Allah SWT)وَلَاكِنَّ البِرَّ مَنِ اتَّقَى
so, enter the houses through their proper doorsوَأْتُوْا البُيُوْتَ مِنْ أَبْوَابِهَا
2-189and be mindful of Allah (SWT) so that you may be successfulوَاتَّقٌوْا اللهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ
They ask you about the sacred month, fighting in itيَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الشَّهْرِ الحَرَامِ قِتَالٍ فِيْهِ
Say: “fighting therein is great (sin) but hindering from the way of Allah (SWT) and disbelief in Himقُلْ قِتَالٌ فِيْهِ كَبِيْرٌ وَصَدٌّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ وَكُفْرٌ بِهِ
and the sacred mosque and driving out its people from it is greater with Allah (SWT)وَالمَسْجِدِ الحَرَامِ وَإِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِهِ مِنْهُ أَكْبَرُ عِنْدَ اللهِ
and oppression is greater than killing” and not they will cease to fight youوَالفِتْنَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ القَتْلِ وَلَا يَزَالُوْنَ يُقَاتِلُوْنَكُمْ
until they turn you away from your religion if they are ableحَتَّى يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَنْ دِيْنِكُمْ إِنِ اسْتَطَاعُوا
and whoever turn away from among you from his religion then dies while he is a disbelieverوَمَن يَرْتَدِدْ مِنْكُمْ عَنْ دِيْنِهِ فَيَمُتْ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ
for those, their deeds become worthless in the world and the hereafterفَأُوْلَآئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ
2-217and those are the companions of the fire, they will abide in it foreverوَأُوْلَآئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيْهَا خَالِدُوْنَ
They ask you about intoxicants and games of chance say, “in both of them is a great sinيَسْئَلُنَكَ عَنِ الخَمْرِ وَالمَيْسِرِ قُلْ فِيْهِمَآ إِثْمٌ كَبِيْرٌ
and some benefits for the people but the sin of both of them is greater than the benefit of both”وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَإِثْمُهُمَآ أَكْبَرُ مِن نَّفْعِهِمَا
and they ask you about what they should spend say, “the surplus”وَيَسْئَلُوْنَكَ مَاذَا يُنْفِقُوْنَ قُلِ العَفْوَ
2-219thus Allah (SWT) makes clear to you the verses so that you may ponder (reflect)كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللهُ لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ
concerning the world and the hereafter and they ask you about the orphansفِى الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَيَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ اليَتَامَى
say, “setting right for them is good and if you associate with them then they are your brothersقُلْ إِصْلَاحٌ لَّهُمْ خَيْرٌ وَإِنْ تُخَالِطُوْهُمْ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ
and Allah (SWT) knows the corrupter from the amender and if Allah (SWT) willedوَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ المُفْسِدَ مِنَ المُصْلِحِ وَلَوْ شَآءَ اللهُ
2-220surely, He could have put you in difficulties truly, Allah (SWT) is All-Mighty, All-Wiseلَأَعْنَتَكُمْ إِنَّ اللهَ عَزِيْزٌ حَكِيْمٌ
and they ask you about the menstruation say, “it is a hurt so keep away from the womenوَيَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ المَحِيْضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَآءَ
during the menstruation and do not approach them until they are pure then when they are purifiedفِي المَحِيْضِ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوْهُنَّ حَتَّى يَطْهُرْنَ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ
then come to them from where Allah (SWT) has ordered you”فَأْتُوْهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ اللهُ
2-222indeed, Allah (SWT) loves the ones who turn in repentance, and He loves those who purify themselvesإِنَّ اللهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِيْنَ وَيُحِبُّ المُتَطَهِّرِيْنَ
In it are clear signs, standing place of Ebrahim (AS) and whoever enters it is safe (secure-attains security)فِيْهِ ءَايَتٌ بَيِّنَتٌ مَّقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ ءَامِنًا
and due to Allah (SWT) upon mankind is pilgrimage of the house for who is able to find a way to itوَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ البَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيْلًا
3-97and whoever disbelieved then certainly, Allah (SWT) is rich (free of need-independent) from the worldsوَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ العَلَمِيْنَ
and let there be among you a people calling to the goodوَلْتَكُنْ مِّنْكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُوْنَ إِلَى الخَيْرِ
ordering (encouraging) to the right (goodness) and forbidding from wrong (evil)وَيَأْمُرُوْنَ بِالمَعْرُوْفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ المُنْكَرِ
3-104and those, for them is a great punishmentوَأُوْلَآئِكَ هُمُ المُفْلِحُوْنَ
You are the best people brought forth for mankindكُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ
ordering (enjoining) to the right (goodness) and forbidding from the wrong (evil) and believing in Allah (SWT)تَأْمُرُوْنَ بِالمَعْرُوْفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ المُنْكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللهِ
and if the people of the book believed surely, it would have been better for themوَلَوْ ءَامَنَ أَهْلُ الكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ
3-110among them are believers but most of them are defiantly disobedientمِّنْهُمُ المُؤْمِنُوْنَ وَأَكْثَرَهُمُ الفَاسِقُوْنَ

74-41about the criminalsعَنِ المُجْرِمِيْنَ
74-49so, what is with them? that they turn away from the reminderفَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِيْنَ
78-2about the great newsعَنِ النَّبَإِ العَظِيْمِ
but who feared standing (before) his Lordوَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ
79-40and restrained his soul from desires (inclinations)وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الهَوَى
79-42They ask you about the hour, when is its appointed time?يَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا
107-5Then indeed, you will certainly be asked on that day about the pleasures (blessings)تُمَّ لَتُسْئَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيْمِ
