They say “Nay We follow what we found our fathers on it (following)” | قَالُوْا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَآ أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآئَنَا | ||
2-170 | even though their fathers did not understand anything nor were they guided | أَوَلَوْ كَانَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُوْنَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُوْنَ | |
and when you have completed your sacred rites (worship) remember Allah (SWT) like you remember | فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمْ مَّنَاسِكَكُمْ فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ كَذِكْرِكُمْ | ||
your forefathers or with a much greater remembrance and from the people are some who say | ءَابَآءَكُمْ أَوْ أَشَدَّ ذِكْرًا فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُوْلُ | ||
2-200 | “Our Lord give us in this world” so, not will he have in the hereafter any share | رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الأَخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ | |
Allah (SWT) instructs you concerning your children, belonging to the male like a portion for two females | يُوْصِيْكُمُ اللهُ فِي أَوْلَادِكُمْ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ | ||
but if there are women, more than two then for them two thirds of what he left | فَإِنْ كُنَّ نِسَآءً فَوْقَ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَ | ||
but if there is only one then for her half and for his parents for each one of them | وَإِنْ كَانَتْ وَاحِدَةً فَلَهَا النِّصْفُ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا | ||
a sixth of what he left if it is for him a child and if not is for him a child | مِّنْهُمَا السُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُ وَلَدٌ | ||
and his parents inherit it then for his mother is a third and if are for him siblings then for his mother | وَوَرَثَهُ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ الثُّلُثُ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُ إِخْوَةٌ فَلِأُمِّهِ | ||
is a sixth after any will he has made with it or any debt | السُّدُسُ مِنْ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوْصِى بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍ | ||
your parents and your children, not you know which of them is nearer to you in benefit | ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُوْنَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعًا | ||
4-11 | an obligation from Allah (SWT) truly Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | فَرِيْضَةً مِّنَ اللهِ إِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا | |
and do not marry from women whom your fathers married except what indeed passed | وَلَا تَنْكِحُوا مَا نَكَحَ ءَابَآءُكُمْ مِّنَ النِّسَآءِ إِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ | ||
4-22 | indeed, it was an immorality and hateful and an evil way | إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَمَقْتًا وَسَآءَ سَبِيْلًا | |
And when it is said to them, “Come to what Allah (SWT) has revealed and to the Messenger” | وَإِذَا قِيْلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالُوا إِلَى مَآ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُوْلِ | ||
They say, “enough for us is what we found our forefathers upon” | قَالُوا حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَآ | ||
