| When the Lord of Ebrahim (AS) tried him with words which he fulfilled | وَإِذِ ابْتَلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ رَبُّهُ بِكَلِمَاتٍ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ |
| “Verily I will make you a leader for the people” | قَالَ إِنِّي جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًا |
| 2-124 | (Ebrahim AS) said “and from my offspring?” He (Allah SWT) said “My covenant does not reach the wrongdoers” | قَالَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِي قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِي الظَّالِمِيْنَ |
| “Our Lord, make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation submissive unto You | رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِنَآ أُمَّةً مُسْلِمَةً لَّكَ |
| 2-128 | and show us our rites and turn to us, truly You are Oft Returning, Most Merciful” | وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَآ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ |
| Would anyone of you wish to be for him a garden of date palms and grape vines | أَيَوَدُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ تَكُوْنَ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ مِّنْ نَخِيْلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ |
| flowing from underneath it, rivers, for him in it from all fruits while old age strikes him | تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ لَهُ فِيْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ وَأَصَابَهُ الكِبَرُ |
| and he has weak children then a whirlwind strikes it, in it a fire, then it is burnt | وَلَهُ ذُرِّيَّةٌ ضُعَفَآءُ فَأَصَابَهَآ إِعْصَارٌ فِيْهِ نَارٌ فَأَحْتَرَقَتْ |
| 2-266 | like that Allah (SWT) makes clear for you His signs so that you may ponder | كَذَلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللهُ لَكُمُ الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُوْنَ |
| 3-34 | offspring, one of the other and Allah (SWT) is All-Hearing, All-Knowing | ذُرِّيَّةً بَعْضُهَا مِنْ بَعْضٍ وَاللهُ سَمِيْعٌ عَلِيْمٌ |
| then when she delivered her, she said, “O my Lord indeed I delivered her, a female” | فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعْتُهَآ أُنْثَى |
| and Allah (SWT) is All- knowing of what she delivered | وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْ |
| “And the male is not like the female and indeed I named her Maryam | وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالأُنْثَى وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ |
| 3-36 | and indeed, I seek refuge for her with you and her offspring from Satan the rejected | وَإِنِّي أُعِيْذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ |
| There Zachariya invoked his Lord | هُنَا لِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّهُ |
| he said, “My Lord bestow (grant) for me from yourself pure offspring | قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً |
| 3-38 | truly You are All-Hearing of the call (prayer-supplication)” | إِنَّكَ سَمِيْعُ الدُّعَآءِ |
| and let those who if they left from behind them weak offspring fear | وَلْيَخْشَ الَّذِيْنَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَافًا |
| 4-9 | they would have feared about them so let them fear Allah (SWT) and let them say right words | خَافُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللهَ وَلْيَقُوْلُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيْدًا |
