ر غ ب
Most of the words in the Arabic language are derived from a three-letter root like ر غ ب which represents a core meaning or concept
To desire, long for, wish.
With ‘an عَنْ To show aversion to, dislike, have no desire.
With ba ب and ‘an عَنْ as in 9:120: To have preferred their own lives to his life.
With ila إِلَا To supplicate.

| 2-130 | Truly We chose him in this world and verily, in the hereafter he will be among the righteous | وَلَقَدِ اصْطَفَيْنَاهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُ فَي الآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِيْنَ |
| and they ask you concerning the women, say, “Allah (SWT) explains about them | وَيَسْتَفْتُوْنَكَ فِي النِّسَآءِ قُلِ اللهُ يُفْتِيْكُمْ فِيْهِنَّ | |
| and what is recited to you in the book about the orphan girls | وَمَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الكِتَابِ فِي يَتَامَى النِّسَآءِ | |
| who not you give them what is ordained for them, while you desire to marry them | الَّتِي لَا تُؤْتُوْنَهُنَّ مَا كُتِبَ لَهُنَّ وَتَرْغَبُوْنَ أَنْ تَنْكِحُوْهُنَّ | |
| and the weak of the children and to stand for orphans with justice | وَالمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ مِنَ الوِلْدَانِ وَأَنْ تَقُوْمُوا لِلْيَتَامَى بِالقِسيْطِ | |
| 4-127 | and whatever you do from good, then indeed Allah (SWT) is about it All-Knowing | وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللهَ كَانَ بِهِ عَلِيْمًا |
| and if they were pleased with what Allah (SWT) and His messenger gave them | وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ رَضُوا مَآ ءَاتَاهُمُ اللهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ | |
| and said, “Sufficient for us is Allah (SWT) Allah (SWT) will give us from His bounty | وَقَالُوا حَسْبُنَا اللهُ سَيُؤْتِيْنَا اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ | |
| 9-59 | and His messenger surely, to Allah (SWT) we turn our hopes” | وَرَسُوْلُهُ إِنَّآ إِلَى اللهِ رَاغِبُوْنَ |
| Not it was for the people of the city and who were around them from the Bedouins to remain behind | مَا كَانَ لِأَهْلِ المَدِيْنَةِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهُم مِّنَ الأَعْرَابِ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا | |
| from the Messenger of Allah (SWT) and not they prefer their lives over his life | عَن رَّسُوْلِ اللهِ وَلَا يَرْغَبُوا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَن نَّفْسِهِ | |
| that is because thirst does not afflict them nor fatigue nor hunger | ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ لَا يُصِيْبُهُمْ ظَمَأٌ وَلَا نَصَبٌ وَلَا مَخْمَصَةٌ | |
| in the way of Allah (SWT) and not they step any step that angers the disbelievers | فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ وَلَا يَطَئُوْنَ مَوْطِئًا يَغِيْظُ الكُفَّارَ | |
| and not they inflict on an enemy an infliction except is recorded for them in it as a righteous deed | وَلَا يَنَالُونَ مِنْ عَدُوٍّ نَّيْلًا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُمْ بِهِ عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ | |
| 9-120 | surely, Allah (SWT) does not allow to be lost the reward of the good-doers. | إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُضِيْعُ أَجْرَ المُحْسِنِيْنَ |
