| Surah/ | Meaning | Aayat |
| Verse | The root ش ر ك occurs 168 times in the holy Quran | |
| | |
| And surely you will find them the greediest of mankind for life greedier than the polytheists |
| Each one of them loves if he could be granted a life of a thousand years | يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ |
| but it will not remove him from the punishment, the grant of such a life | وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَهْزِحِهِ مِنَ العَذَابِ أَنْ يُعَمَّرَ |
| 2-96 | and Allah (SWT) is All-Seeing of what they do | وَاللهُ بَصِيْرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |
| Neither those who disbelieve from the people of the book, nor the polytheists wish |
| that any good be sent down to you from your Lord | أَنْ يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ |
| but Allah (SWT) chooses for His Mercy who He wills | وَاللهُ يَخْتَصُّ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَآءُ |
| 2-105 | and Allah (SWT) is the Possessor of Great Bounty |
| And they say: “Be Jews or Christians then you will be guided” |
| 2-135 | Say “Nay the religion of Ebrahim (AS) is upright and he was not of the polytheists | قُلْ بَل مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ حَنِيْفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ المُشْرِكِيْنَ |
| and do not marry polytheist women until they believe | وَلَا تَنْكِحُوا المُشْرِكَاتِ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَّ |
| and a believing slave girl (maid) is better than a polytheist woman even if she impresses you | وَلَأَمَةٌ مَّؤْمِنَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكَةٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ |
| and do not give in marriage to polytheist men until they believe, and a believing slave is better | وَلَا تُنْكِحُوا المُشْرِكِيْنَ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنُوا وَلَعَبْدٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ خَيْرٌ |
| than a polytheist man even if he impresses you those, they invite to the fire | مِّن مُّشْرِكٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكُمْ أُوْلَآئِكَ يَدْعُوْنَ إِلَى النَّارِ |
| and Allah (SWT) invites to Paradise and forgiveness by His permission | وَاللهُ يَدْعُوا إِلَى الجَنَّةِ وَالمَغْفِرَةِ بِإِذْنِهِ |
| 2-221 | and He makes clear his verses for the people so that you may remember (take heed) |
| Say, “O people of the book! Come to a word equitable between us and between you | قُلْ يَآ أَهْلَ الكِتَابِ تَعَالَوا إِلَى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَآءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ |
| that we worship not except Allah (SWT) and we do not associate anything with Him | أَلَّا نَعْبُدَ إِلَّا اللهَ وَلَا نُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا |
| and not some of us take others as lords from besides Allah (SWT) | وَلَا يَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا أَرْبَابًا مِّنْ دُوْنِ اللهِ |
| 3-64 | then if they turn away then say, “bear witness that we are those who submit (Muslims)” |
| Ebrahim (AS) was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was | مَا كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيْمُ يَهُوْدِيًّا وَلَا نَصْرَانِيًّا وَلَكِنْ كَانَ |
| 3-67 | an upright (true) one who submitted (Muslim) and not was he from the polytheists |
| Say, “Allah (SWT) spoke the truth so, follow the upright religion of Ebrahim (AS) | قُلْ صَدَقَ اللهُ فَاتَّبِعُوا مِلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ حَنِيْفًا |
| 3-95 | and not was he of the polytheists |
| We will cast terror in the hearts of those who disbelieve |
| because they associated partners with Allah (SWT) whereof He sent not down any authority about it | بِمَآ أَشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا |
| 3-151 | and their abode will be the fire and wretched is the abode of the wrongdoers |
| Indeed, you will be tested in your wealth and yourselves and you will certainly hear from those | لَتُبْلَوُنَّ فِي أَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنْفُسِكُمْ وَلَتَسْمَعُنَّ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ |
| who were given the book from before you and from those who associate, much hurt | أُوْتُوا الكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَمِنَ الَّذِيْنَ أَشْرَكُوا أَذًى كَثِيْرًا |
| 3-186 | and if you are patient and mindful then surely, that is from determined matters |

| 6-88 | but had they associated then surely worthless for them what they used to do | وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُوْنَ |

| If is hard on you my stance and my reminding of the signs of Allah (SWT) |
| then upon Allah (SWT) I put my trust so, you all put together your plan and your partners then | فَعَلَى اللهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ فَأَجْمِعُوا أَمْرَكُمْ وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْ ثُمَّ |
| let not be in your plan for you any doubt then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite | لَا يَكُنْ أَمْرُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ غُمَّةً ثُمَّ اقْضُوا إِلَيَّ وَلَا تُنْظِرُوْنَ |

| 98-6 | Truly those who disbelieve from the people of the book and the polytheists will | إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ |
| be in the the fire of hell abiding therein forever. Those are the worst of creatures | خَالِدِيْنَ فِيهَا أُوْلَائِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ البَرِيَّةِ |
