| The month of Ramadan is that wherein the Quran was revealed a guidance for the people | شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيْهِ القُرْءَانَ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ |
| with clear proofs of guidance and the criterion so, whoever among you witnesses the month | وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الهُدَى وَالفُرْقَانِ فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ |
| then let him fast in it and whoever is ill or on a journey then an equal number from other days | فَلْيَصُمْهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ مَرِيْضًا أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ |
| Allah (SWT) wishes for you ease and He does not wish for you any hardship | يُرِيْدُ اللهُ بِكُمُ اليُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيْدُ بِكُمُ العُسْرَ |
| so that you may complete the prescribed period and that you magnify Allah (SWT) | وَلِتُكْمِلُوْا العِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوْا اللهَ |
| 2-185 | for having guided you so that you may be grateful | عَلَى مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ |
| The sacred month is for the sacred month and for all violations there is retaliation | الشَّهْرُ الحَرَامُ بِالشَّهْرِ الحَرَامِ وَالحُرُمَاتُ قِصَاصٌ |
| so, who transgresses upon you then retaliate in a like manner | فَمَنِ اعْتَدَى عَلَيْكُمْ فَاعْتَدُوْا عَلَيْهِ بِمِثْلِ مَا اعْتَدَى عَلَيْكُمْ |
| 2-194 | and be mindful of Allah (SWT) and know that Allah (SWT) is with those who are mindful | وَاتَّقًوْا اللهَ وَاعْلَمُوْا أَنَّ اللهَ مَعَ المُتَّقِيْنَ |
| The Hajj is in well-known months so, whoever undertakes therein the hajj | الحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيْهِنَّ الحَجَّ |
| then no sexual relations nor wickedness nor quarrelling in the hajj and whatever you do | فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوْقَ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِي الحَجِّ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا |
| of good Allah (SWT) knows it and take a provision but the best provision is piety | مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللهُ وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى |
| 2-197 | so, fear Me, O men of understanding! | وَاتَّقُوْنِ يَآ أُوْلِى الأَلْبَابِ |
| They ask you about the sacred month, fighting in it, say, “fighting therein is great (sin) | يَسْئَلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الشَّهْرِ الحَرَامِ قِتَالٍ فِيْهِ قُلْ قِتَالٌ فِيْهِ كَبِيْرٌ |
| but hindering from the way of Allah (SWT) and disbelief in Him and the sacred mosque | وَصَدٌّ عَنْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ وَكُفْرٌ بِهِ وَالمَسْجِدِ الحَرَامِ |
| and driving out its people from it is greater with Allah (SWT) and oppression is greater than killing” | وَإِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِهِ مِنْهُ أَكْبَرُ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَالفِتْنَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ القَتْلِ |
| and not they will cease to fight you until they turn you away from your religion if they are able | وَلَا يَزَالُوْنَ يُقَاتِلُوْنَكُمْ حَتَّى يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَنْ دِيْنِكُمْ إِنِ اسْتَطَاعُوا |
| and whoever turn away from among you from his religion then dies while he is a disbeliever | وَمَن يَرْتَدِدْ مِنْكُمْ عَنْ دِيْنِهِ فَيَمُتْ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ |
| for those, their deeds become worthless in the world and the hereafter | فَأُوْلَآئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِى الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ |
| 2-217 | and those are the companions of the fire, they will abide in it forever | وَأُوْلَآئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيْهَا خَالِدُوْنَ |
| For those who swear from their wives is a waiting of four months | لِلَّذِيْنَ يُؤْلُوْنَ مِن نِّسَآءِهِمْ تَرَبُّصُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ |
| 2-226 | then if they return then truly Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | فَإِنْ فَآءُو فَإِنَّ اللهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
| and those who pass away among you and leave wives behind should wait for themselves | وَالَّذِيْنَ يُتَوَفُّوْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَذَرُوْنَ أَزْوَاجًا يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنْفُسِهِنَّ |
| four months and ten then when they reach their term then no sin (blame) on you | أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ |
| for what they do concerning themselves in a fair manner | فِيْمَا فَعَلْنَ فِي أَنْفُسِهِنَّ بِالمَعْرُوْفِ |
| 2-234 | and Allah (SWT) is All-Aware of what you do | وَاللهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ خَبِيْرٌ |
| and not is for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake and whoever killed | وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَقْتُلَ مُؤْمِنًا إِلَّا خَطَئًا وَمَنْ قَتَلَ |
| a believer by mistake then freeing a believing slave and blood money must be paid | مُؤْمِنًا خَطَئًا فَتَحْرِيْرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَدِيَةٌ مُسَلَّمَةٌ |
| to his family unless they remit as charity but if they were from a people hostile to you | إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلَّآ أَن يَصَّدَّقُوا فَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَّكُمْ |
| and he was a believer then freeing a believing slave and if they were from a people | وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَتَحْرِيْرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ |
| between you and between them was a treaty then blood money payment to his family and freeing | بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيْثَاقٌ فَدِيَةٌ مُّسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَتَحْرِيْرُ |
| of a believing slave and whoever does not find then fasting of two months consecutively | رَقَبَةٍ مُّؤْمِنَةٍ فَمَن لَّم يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ |
| 4-92 | as a repentance from Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) is All-Knowing, All-Wise | تَوْبَةً مِّنَ اللهِ وَكَانَ اللهُ عَلِيْمًا حَكِيْمًا |
| O you who believe! Don’t you make lawful the symbols of Allah (SWT) nor the sacred month | يَآ أَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا لَا تُحِلُّوا شَعَآئِرَ اللهِ وَلَا الشَّهْرَ الحَرَامَ |
| nor the sacrificial animal nor the garlanded nor coming to the sacred house | وَلَا الهَدْيَ وَلَا القَلَآئِدَ وَلَا ءَآمِّيْنَ البَيْتَ الحَرَامَ |
| seeking bounty from their Lord and good pleasure and when you (descend) are lawful then hunt | يَبْتَغُوْنَ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَانًا وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُوا |
| and don’t let hatred of a people incite you as they stopped you from the sacred mosque | وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَئَانُ قَوْمٍ أَنْ صَدُّوْكُمْ عَنِ المَسْجِدِ الحَرَامِ |
| that you transgress and help each other to righteousness and piety but don’t help each other to | أَنْ تَعْتَدُوا وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى البِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى |
| 5-2 | sin and transgression and fear Allah (SWT) indeed, Allah (SWT) is severe in penalty | الإِثْمِ وَالعُدْوَانِ وَاتَّقُوا اللهَ إِنَّ اللهَ شَدِيْدُ العِقَابِ |
| Allah (SWT) has made the kabah the Sacred House An upright establishment (standing) for the people | جَعَلَ اللهُ الكَعْبَةَ البَيْتَ الحَرَامَ قِيَامًا لِّلنَّاسِ |
| and the sacred months and the sacrificial animals and the garlands that is so you may know | وَالشَّهْرَ الحَرَامَ وَالهَدْيَ وَالقَلَائِدَ ذَلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوا |
| that Allah (SWT) knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth | أَنَّ اللهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ |
| 5-97 | and that Allah (SWT) is over all things Aware (All-Knowing) | وَأَنَّ اللهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ |
| so, move about in the land for four months and know that you | فَسِيْحُوا فِي الأَرْضِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّكُمْ |
| 9-2 | cannot escape Allah (SWT) and that Allah (SWT) is who disgraces the disbelievers | غَيْرُ مُعْجِزِى اللهِ وَأَنَّ اللهَ مُخْزِي الكَافِرِيْنَ |
| so, when the sacred months have passed then kill the polytheists wherever you find them | فَإِذَا انْسَلَخَ الأَشْهُرُ الحُرُمُ فَاقْتُلُوا المُشْرِكِيْنَ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوْهُمْ |
| and seize them and besiege them and sit (in wait) for them at every place of ambush | وَخُذُوْهُمْ وَاحْصُرُوْهُمْ وَاقْعُدُوا لَهُمْ كُلَّ مَرْصَدٍ |
| and if they repent and establish the prayer and pay the obligatory tax then leave their way | فَإِنْ تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَءَاتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَخَلُّوا سَبِيْلَهُمْ |
| 9-5 | surely Allah (SWT) is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful | إِنَّ اللهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ |
| Indeed, the number of months with Allah (SWT) is twelve months in the book of Allah (SWT) | إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُوْرِ عِنْدَ اللهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ |
| on the day He created the heavens and the earth, from it four are sacred | يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ |
| that is the upright religion so do not wrong yourselves therein | ذَلِكَ الدِّيْنُ القَيِّمُ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيْهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُمْ |
| and fight the polytheists altogether as they fight you altogether | وَقَاتِلُوا المُشْرِكِيْنَ كَآفَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُوْنَكُمْ كَآفَّةً |
| 9-36 | and know that Allah (SWT) is with the God-conscious (mindful) | وَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللهَ مَعَ المُتَّقِيْنَ |
