Verse | The root ط غ ى occurs 39 times in the holy Quran | |
| | |
2-15 | Allah mocks at them and increases them in their wrong-doing to wander blindly |
| There is no compulsion in the religion surely, the right has become distinct from the wrong |
| then whoever disbelieves in false deities and believes in Allah (SWT) then surely, he grasped | فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالطَّاغُوْتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ |
2-256 | the most trustworthy handhold, no break in it and Allah (SWT) is All-Hearing, All-Knowing |
| Allah (SWT) is the protector of those who believe, He brings them out of the darkness to the light |
| as for those who disbelieve, their protectors are the false deities, they bring them out from the light | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَآؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوْتُ يُخْرِجُوْنَهُمْ مِنَ النُّوْرِ |
2-257 | to the darkness, those are the companions of the fire, they will abide in it forever |
| Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the book? |
| They believe in the superstition and the false deities, and they say of those who disbelieve |
4-51 | “These are better guided than those who believe in the way” | هَآؤُلآءِ أَهْدَى مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا سَبِيْلًا |
| Did you not see to those who claim that they believe in what was revealed to you | أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِيْنَ يَزْعُمُوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا بِمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ |
| and what was revealed from before you? They wish to go for judgement to false deities | وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ يُرِيْدُوْنَ أَنْ يَتَحَاكَمُوا إِلَى الطَّاغُوْتِ |
| and surely, they were ordered to disbelieve (reject) in it | وَقَدْ أُمِرُوا أَنْ يَكْفُرُوا بِهِ |
4-60 | and Satan wishes to mislead them a distant misleading |
| Those who believe, they fight in the way of Allah (SWT) |
| and those who disbelieve, they fight in the way of the false deities | وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِي سَبِيْلِ الطَّاغُوْتِ |
4-76 | so, fight the friends of Satan indeed, the plot of Satan is weak |
| Say: shall I inform you what is a worse recompense from Allah (SWT) than that?
| It is the one who Allah (SWT) cursed him and became angry with him and made | مَنْ لَّعَنَهُ اللهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ |
| of them monkeys and swine and who worshipped false gods | مِنْهُمُ القِرَدَةَ وَالخَنَازِيْرَ وَعَبَدَ الطَّاغُوتَ |
5-60 | Those are worse in rank (position) and farthest astray from the even way | أُوْلَآئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ عَنْ سَوَاءِ السَّبِيْلِ |
| The Jews said, “The hand of Allah (SWT) is chained” chained are their hands and they are cursed for what they said | وَقَالَتِ اليَهُودُ يَدُ اللهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا بِمَا قَالُوا |
| Nay, both His Hands are outstretched, He spends as He pleases |
| What has been revealed to you from your Lord, indeed increases many among them in rebellion and disbelieve | وَلَيَزِيْدَنَّ كَثِيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ مَّآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا |
| and we have cast among them enmity and hatred till the day of Resurrection | وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ العَدَاوَةَ وَالبَغْضَآءَ إِلَى يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ |
| Every time they kindled the fire of war, Allah (SWT) extinguished it and they strive in the earth |
5-64 | spreading corruption and Allah (SWT) does not love the ones who corrupt |
| Say; O people of the book! you are not on anything until you stand firmly by the Taurah |
| and the Injeel and what was sent down to you from your Lord | وَالإِنْجِيْلَ وَمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ |
| and what has been sent down to you from your Lord, indeed, increases many among them in sin (rebellion) and disbelief | وَلَيَزِيْدَنَّ كَثِيْرًا مِنْهُمْ مَّآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا |
5-68 | So, do not grieve over the disbelieving people | فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى القَوْمِ الكَافِرِيْنَ |
| And We will turn their hearts and their sight just as they did not believe in it the first time | وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ |
6-110 | and We will leave (forsake) them in their transgression wandering blindly |
| whoever Allah (SWT) lets go astray then not is a guide for him | مَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللهُ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ |
7-186 | and He leaves them in their transgression wandering blindly |
| and if Allah (SWT) hastens for the people the evil as He hastens for them the good | وَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ اللهُ لِلنَّاسِ الشَّرَّ اسْتِعْجَا لَهُمْ بِالخَيْرِ |
| surely, their term would have been decreed for them, but We leave those who do not expect the meeting with Us | لَقُضِيَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَجَلُهُمْ فَنَذَرُ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يَرْجُوْنَ لِقَآءَنَا |
10-11 | in their transgression, wandering blindly |
