by taking the calf (for worship) so, turn to your Creator (in repentance)بِاتِّخَاذِكُمُ العِجْلَ فَتُوْبُوْا إِلَى بَارِئِكُمْ
and kill yourselves (ego) that will be better for you with your Creator”فَاقْتُلُوْا أَنْفُسَكُمْ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ عِنْدَ بَارِئِكُمْ
2-54that He may accept your repentance Truly He is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Mercifulفَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيْمُ
Truly those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians and Sabian’sإِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوْا وَالَّذِيْنَ هَادُوْا وَالنَّصَارَى وَالصَّابِئِيْنَ
who believe in Allah (SWT) and the last day and do righteous deedsمَنْ ءَامَنَ بِاللهِ وَاليَوْمِ الأَخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا
2-62for them, their reward is with their Lord and on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieveفَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُوْنَ
And when they meet those who believe they say: “We believe” and when they meet one another in privateوَإِذَا لَقُوْا الَّذِيْنَ ءَامَنُوا قَالُوْا ءَامَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ
they say, “Do you tell them about what Allah (SWT) has revealed to youقَالُوْا أَتُحَدِّثُوْنَهُمْ بِمَا فَتَحَ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ
2-76that they may argue with you about it with your Lord, have you then no understanding?لِيُحَاجُّوْكُمْ بِهِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُوْنَ
And they say “The fire shall not touch us but for numbered days”وَقَالُوْا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلَّا أَيَّامًا مَعْدُوْدَةً
Say “Have you taken a covenant with Allah SWT that Allah SWT will not break His Covenant?قُلْ أَتَّخَذْتُمْ عِنْدَ اللهِ عَهْدًا فَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللهُ عَهْدَهُ
2-80or you say of Allah (SWT) what you know not?”أَمْ تَقُوْلُوْنَ عَلَى اللهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ
Say “If the home of the Hereafter with Allah (SWT) be for you exclusivelyقُلْ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ اللهِ خَالِصَةً
2-94out of all mankind then wish for death if you are truthful”مِّنْ دُوْنِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا المَوْتَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِيْنَ

12-17They said, “O our father! we went, we were racing, and we left Yusuf (AS) by our belongingsقَالُوا يَآ أَبَانَآ إِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوْسُفَ عِنْدَ مَتَاعِنَا
