لَّ حَرْفُ الجَرِّ

A word in the Arabic language will either be 1) a verb or 2) a noun or 3) a particle – لَّ حَرْفُ الجَرِّ is a particle

ل (with fathah) is used as a preposition لَكَ or لَنَا denoting possession, as well as a preposition لَكَ الأَمْرُ expressing attribution, it denotes the genitive and dative cases,

meaning ‘to’, ‘for’, ‘unto’, ‘on account of’, ‘belonging to’

 

لَّ is the same as the preposition لَلforحَرْفٌحَرْفُ جَرٍّ
it takes a shaddah due to a sukoon preceding it in the sentence or a dammatainRootbelonging toParticleParticle of pulling down لَّ
